Funny thing is we tend to arrive at those opinions independently, and then we generally post those opinions within about 45 seconds of each other. I don't believe this for one second. You mean to tell me neither of you discuss the shows during or directly after the show? I know you each post your opinions within minutes of each other on the board, and that's why I mentioned it. Real life aside, it's very noticeable on the board.

I hate myself everytime I go over to the Coachella message board. That place is the worst. I think a lot of the regulars over there are entertaining. It's impossible to avoid trollism when you have so many internetards posting everything that comes to their mind twice per hour. This is the bad time of year over there, ten times worse than the bad time here, which is two weeks away. You prefer everyone keep it civil and get along, I prefer people make intelligent contributions to a thread while typing coherently. We both have hates. You hate what you would consider "trolls," and I hate what I would consider, "idiots."

Tegan and Sara sisters, who are lesbian, not lovers THANKS FOR THE CLARIFICATION. YOU MUST BE NEW?

I just fucking hate Tegan and Sara more than most things. And I am sure we influence each other but we also have similar tastes. But I can say that in this case my disdain for Tegan and Sara is longer than our relationship. I don't get them either, I always thought lesbians went for chicks who didn't look exactly like them. It was just an observation. Whether it's you followed by Gramma or vice versus, anytime the worth of a band live is in question, you both post the exact same thing.

Yeah, I was willing to wait a couple months to get Varejo back, since rebounds is one of the categories I can make up the most points in. That hurts, a bruised knee ended his season.
If I can maintain a high FT%, I still have a run left in me. I'm slowly gaining in those other categories, and my games played are still low. Lou Williams finally turned into a badass for a couple weeks before he blew out his knee. He was hitting threes, and started getting assists too. That hurt.
I've been looking to move Curry to fill some holes, but in the end, I want him more than anyone else, so I think the man crush will continue.

There actually is an old NBA thread you can poop, so you can leave Drew and I alone with our fantasy sob stories here.
I'm in a bit of a funk lately. I've been so far ahead of the next ranked team in every category that I haven't lost a point in about a month, nor will I in the next month outside of the FT% category. I'm getting closer to catching those above me in each category, but gaining points doesn't seem plausible in the next week or two. I'm basically stuck at 39 points, and I just lost three of my staples (Lou Williams/Anderson Varejo are out for the season due to injury, and Kaman doesn't play 20 minutes anymore).
I only have two guys left I drafted, Curry and Rubio, and most normal people would have dropped Rubio by now.
What about you Drew, are you set for a comeback?

EVEN TEGAN & SARA KICKED ASS This is not true. I had to suffer through it and it went on and on and I fucking hate them. Oh man, real talk. Tegan & Sara made me want to die. Do you two talk yourselves into having the same opinion of shows, or do you randomly have the exact same opinion of every live show you've been to together?

You can always tell a fake Sasquatch lineup by the abundance of hip-hop that isn't Maine Stageable. You can always tell a fake Sasquatch lineup because anything speculated before the press release is fake.

The reason the league default is to have limits is because that is what makes the most sense. If you are ahead of the pace, stop starting your bench players every game, and you won't be ahead of pace.
Here is what will happen if you eliminated the limits. I would immediately drop my worst ten offensive players, creating ten super positions and add players who play games the next day. The next day, I replace each of the ten not playing that day with someone who is. That means each of my super positions would get 7 games per week. I would eventually dominate every category, because I end up playing a ton more games than you, and don't think I can't focus on +/- and ATOI to make sure I truly dominate every category, not just the accumulation categories. Then everyone gets pissed because I'm adding every player every day, and I'm so far ahead no one would ever catch me, and everyone quits playing. Eventually, I too quit playing because adding ten new players every day bores me to tears.
Its best to leave it as is. Those who created the defaults know what is fair.

Is any one else having issues with the league? I have made some pickups and drops, and it shows that on the "league" page, but on my actual team it says I still have the old players. Any one have any idea why this is happening? Daily rosters are locked when the first game of the day starts. It's like that in every fantasy sports league. There was a 9:30 am game today, so any add/drops made after that won't reflect until the next day, even though most teams have yet to play today.

There were a couple of real bargains in there. I got that Lagwagon boxset from a local record store for $60 on boxing day, You must be a big Lagwagon fan. I have a strong feeling they will be on every festival lineup this year. You'll get to see them more than you want to.

All I'm saying, Wonk, is that artists on the lineup can determine demographics of ticket/pass purchasers. And all I'm saying is it's stupid to think a specific headliner will change anything. The remaining passes will sell out in minutes even if the headliners are ICP, Jack Johnson, and Ben Harper. That's a fact.

lineup.nojazzfest.com/Wouldn't mind if there were some Sasquatch overlap with any of the following: Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Hall and John Oates, Earth Wind & Fire, Aaron Neville, BB King, Willie Nelson. DR. JOHN!!!!!! You two would probably love Dr. John. You might already, but if you may not or don't know then you should check out, Dr. John - Destively BonnarooThe day I found out Dr. John was white blew my mind like the day I found out Boy George was a man.

Did I miss a favorite songs thread this (past) year? I'm late to everything recently, because I haven't been able to listen to music at work. Aside from me being addicted to the new GYBE album, and thinking the stupidest album title of all time was actually really good (Put Your Back N 2 It), I've been digging on Father John Misty's album.
He's got that smooth jazzy soft rock sound of the early 80s going on, more specifically, Hall and Oates. They were my Steely Dan, who would have been my Hall and Oates if I was six years older.
My favorite song is "Nancy From Now On" which is obviously not on par with Hall and Oats lyrically, but it is the same sound. It's like a combination of "Sara Smile" and "I Can't Go For That." It's probably my second favorite song of the year, behind "Five Seconds."
He's also J. Tillman and the former drummer for the Fleet Foxes, if you don't know, and you need a reason to hipster hate him.
I Can't Go For That and Sara Smiles

You can make roster moves for each day as far in advance as you would like. I did up to March last night because I was bored, though I'm sure I'll have to fiddle with them anyway as my lineup changes. The only problem with this is each day your team will attempt to revert back to your choices when your roster is exactly what it is now. If you add and drop a couple players, it won't recognize the new players as a starter and put them back on the bench each day, unless you go back though a reset your lineup for each day through March again. Then rinse and repeat the next time you add a player. Bottom line, it's nice to be able to set your lineup in advance when you are out of town, and won't be messing with your team, but if you plan on tinkering in the next couple weeks, you don't want to set your lineup too far out.
