For the most part we're all kind of in the same geographical area, except for Lumpy who lives in South Carolina and that one dude who lives in the UK. And biff, who lives up his own butt.
Make known your concert calendar! We are all protected by the cloak of anonymity; if two or more of us are going to be in the same room at the same time, who would ever know? I could be the guy vomiting on your shoes, but unless I drink too much Bushmills and start shrieking 'If it weren't for this horn, you wouldn't have been born!' (which admittedly has been known to happen), you'd never know it was me.
Who wants to miss a great show because they were not vigilant enough with their local concert listings? NOBODY. Least of all me. So if you got tickets to something cool, brag about it! God forbid we ever become familiar with one another's faces, but social anxiety, paranoia or shame shouldn't prevent us from enjoying a common experience!

I am going to see The Books tonight (12/3)! Count the exclamation points in my previous post: I'm excited as hell.
I've got two nights of Primus, one with the Residents opening, on 12/30 and 12/31, and then a scant week before my birthday the brain-melting power of Ween is playing an extremely rare Portland gig on 1/26.
What about you fuckers? Who is tiding you over until the big weekend in May?

The only show I'm fully committed to right now is Chromeo up in B.C. with emptyfox in February. Other than that, a few others I would like to make it too include...
Agalloch - Dec 18 @ Neumos, Seattle Guster - Jan 18 @ The Moore, Seattle Bassnectar - Feb 5 @ The Paramount, Seattle Josh Ritter - Feb 22 @ Showbox SODO, Seattle Girl Talk - March 15 @ Showbox SODO, Seattle Excision - March 19 @ Showbox Market, Seattle

I got shut out of Josh Ritter last time he came around. I didn't know he was coming back; see, this is working already!
If Guster tickets aren't fifty bucks (like fucking Cake tickets were) I'm going to try to catch that too. I haven't seen Guster since 'Lost and Gone'.

You guys would miss me so bad. Anyway, I should be fine as long as more than one person ends up yakking on Gunther's Manolo Blahniks and I hear that crowds at Books concerts get pretty out of control.

ugh...fucking awesome. i couldn't find anyone to go with me and the tickets sold out in about 2 seconds for the seattle gig They went on sale Saturday morning, I bought them Sunday afternoon. I checked the next day and they were sold out. I would usually pay the extra fees for presale if I knew a show would sell out so quick (like I did for Ween), but I underestimated the draw of GYBE. I got lucky.

And I'll help by listing shows I know are in the northwest that you people should probably go to.
For example, the band that I would still say has performed the favorite show I've ever been to: Deerhoof. I don't know if any of you saw them in '09, but damn they is crazy good live.
Feb. 25th Seattle Neumo's 26th Portland Holocene
You shant be dissappointed, and if you are, I give you an I-will-buy-you-a-beer-at-Sasquatch-11-assuming-I'm-going-though-I-might-not-be-but-let's-just-assume-I-am guarantee.

I'm really jealous of most of those sold out shows you're goin to. Especially CAKE, and GY!BE. I really wanna go to them but I'm not paying $100-$200 on a ticket. But I might be going to Interpol and Mogwai

Its funny to see other people like Josh Ritter considering he comes from my home town. Super nice dude with sweet tunes. He used to babysit my bestfriend. And no that doesn't get my dick sucked.

I will brag about the fact I'm seeing Tim and Eric tonight in Atlanta on the last show of the tour/the show that actually lands on Chrimbus. Since you can't be me and actually be at the show, make sure to watch the Chrimbus special tonight.

I have a ticket to see the Dirty Projectors with Male Bonding in London in a few days, but I can't find it at the moment. Guess I gotta clean up the house and find it.

Hey man, I have a hard enough time trying to wrap my head around what it must sound like to hear British people quoting The Grand Lebowski.
