The poster can be sold as magnetic poetry. Great! Can wait to see some 'Massive Broken Dog and Horses Porn' while I 'Hold My Magnetic Giantess'

Love the posters. I will have to buy a couple. Good thread, I otherwise probably would not have known they were out there.
BTW, I got through the TMBG maze. Hooray for me.

no chance, i'm genuinely concerned about the size of everyone's penis here and truly want you to re-finance with a lower APR! Since you were wondering, 11 inches. Thank for asking.

the credibility he developed from Alexisonfire is quickly wearing thin on this side project. But his songs were cutesy enough to pick up a MuchMusic (MTV in Canada) Vj... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leah_Miller...which I can't say I've done (whether I would want to or not is a different story), so kudos to him. In fact, he wrote a cheesy love song to her before they got engaged...I can't tell you which song it was though, because they all seem to be cheesy love songs.

Do you think Blitzen Trapper could be added to Monday? They're playing in Spokane on June 2nd and they have a break between May 20th and June 2nd You gotta think that given their NW status, their touring schedule, and their history with Sasquatch, they would be a heavy favorite to be a 'Special Guest'. Good find.

i may be interested in this option. currently i have a ride to the gorge from seattle airport. however, after reading the website, it states that camping passes are only good for up to four people. i am meeting two sets of roommates, with me being the fifth wheel. i have emailed sasquatch directly, and have yet to hear from them. depending on what they tell me will determine if i would take this route. will let you know asap. Don't worry if you are five to a car. They will only ever charge you 1 camping ticket per car.

Fuck, this is why trying to guess the line-up beforehand can be dangerous. I was all stoked to see Nada Surf, but now I don't know what to do! Probably another few weeks before we get the official schedule anyways... The pooped schedule thread from last year tells us that the schedule was released exactly one year ago today. However, the festival was early last year (May 23-25), and it is 6 days later this year. I therefore predict the schedule to comeout on Tuesday. I also predict my National/Hold Steady conflict to magically disappear. And my final prediction is that a truckload of gorgeous young hispter girls (all single of course) will park their tent next to mine at the festival. 3 for 3. book it.

Just a few questions: How cold can I expect it to get at night? What other clothing items should I bring with me that I may be forgetting? Bra or bikini top? Who sells the best sundresses? Urban, Old Navy, Gap etc. If anyone can catch me up on the typical "fashion" of Sasquatch, I'd appreciate it :-)Please see the link below for the appropriate fashion wear for the Sasquatch festival: www.latfh.com/No joke about this website, as I promise you will see outfits at Sasquatch comparable to those in the link. As a more senior gentleman in my late twenties, I let the whole hipster thing pass me by. Although I do admire the creativity of the hipster culture, I do enjoy the occasional chuckle at their fashion sense (sorry if I offend). And I would look soooo awkward in a pair of tight jeans.

Thanks doumak for the updated schedule. It looks spot on.
However, if I were Adam Zacks, I would try to organize the Mainstage a little differently. Instead of basing your line-up times on popularity, I would try to smooth out the line-up to account for similar genres. For example, the Sunday mainstage just seems wierd. TMBG -> Kid Cuti -> Tegan -> LCD -> Pavement -> MAssive Attack? To me that just seems so choppy. I would change it to something like this:
Kid Cudi -> Midlake -> Long Winters -> TMBG -> Tegan and Sara -> Pavement -> Caribou -> LCD -> Massive Attack.
Just seems this way there is a flow of genres, one band to another, except for Kid Cudi (didn't know what to do with him), and Pavement to Caribou. It gives Pavement an early slot (which they won't like), however LCD opening for Massive Attack makes more sense than the alternative. Plus, Pavement would sound better during the day than Caribou or LCD Soundsystem.
Just my opinion of course.

I much preferred them as the 'Rainbow Butt Monkeys' circa 1995 in the post grunge age. My tongue is now planted in my cheek, but just a little bit. Are their any other 90's Canadian alternative bands that you loved? There were sooo many in those days - it made it easy for Canadian radio stations to comply to that wierd canadian content rule. Here are my fav's: - Rusty - Doughboys - The Gandharvas - Punchbuggy - hHead - The Killjoys (Tongue taken out of cheek) - The Lowest of the Low

i just saw miike snow in philly thursday night. it was a really stellar show. 6 guys on stage (singer playing guitar/keys, drummer, guy on guitar/bass, 3 guys on mixers and xylophones and drum pads and stuff). the lights and smoke machine was great in the small club, not sure how the visuals will be at the festival. but the music was awesome. they don't just replicate the album. they jam, similar to animal collective live.I was hugely pumped by your post and excited to see Miike Snow live, until you completely lost me with the last part of the last sentence.

Should we leave this to peatrick and jobosrock, or do all the Canadians want to leap on-board? If so, I'm siding with Seattle. Sorry dude, but his comments pissed me off as well. ...and you of all people should appreciate being easily aggravated by things written on a messageboard.

ugh...i hate when bands tour up and down the west coast and skip seattle. even worse, when they skip seattle but go up to vancouver. Suck it up. Bands play Seattle and miss Vancouver way more frequently than they play Vancouver and miss Seattle. Sorry, but you can't have everything. Sorry Peatrick, but I had the same reaction as jobosrock. You are calling our city less important than other West Coast cities, and wonder why any band in their right mind would have to audacity to skip Seattle for a low-life town of Vancouver. You've touched on a sensitive issue with us Canadians and our inferiority complex. We hate being considered less important than you guys. Whether that's right or wrong is not the point. The point is that you touched a nerve and got the appropriate response from it. And you will get that response from a majority of Canadians, so unless you don't care for us anyways (which is fine), just be mindful of what you say.

^^^Your favorite albums of the year were from the Felice Brothers and Monsters of Folk. I agree, they are both great albums and I commend you on your musical tastes. What bothers me is that Adam Zacks has gone out and gotten a dozen acts that are musically similar to these acts - but you only want to see two of them!!!
Dr. Dog, City and Colour, Mumford and Sons, Midlake, Vetiver, Edward Sharpe, Tallest man on Earth, The Low Anthem, MMJ, She and Him, The Mountain Goats, the long winters...
You may not like all of them, that's understandable, but honestly open your eyes!
You want diverse tastes, but at the same time you want huge headliners...well evidently that can't happen at this facility if Adam Zacks wants to guarantee a profit he is comfortable with (and I am certainly okay with him making a healthy profit - he puts on what has annually been one of my favorite weekends).
And you didn't pay $270 for those tickets, so don't start claiming that you did, you bought them when they were cheaper, and suffered the risk of a lineup that paid off for all of us, except you.

blog.seattlepi.com/afterdark/archives/195588.aspA Seattle Blogger reaffirms the earlier rumour from the Stranger that tickets are going fast. They have had record sales, according to a rep from Live Nation this gentleman was talking to. Methodacting...it looks as though not only are you the black sheep on this board, but amongst the general population as well. Now quit regurgitating stuff you've read on Pitchfork and actually listen to some of these bands. You won't regret it I promise.

is the camping pass only if you have a car? in other words, can we camp/be on campgrounds without a car or pass? i'm limited on money and trying to figure out my options. If you can get there without a vehicle, camping is free. I have not heard many stories about picking up rides on Craigslist or whatever, but if you can pull it off, all the power to you.
