Ok, here is a new thread for Sasquatch! 2010 rumors. Please stay on topic and be civil or I will delete your comments. Below are the rumors that we have actual citations for on the Sasquatch! Blog, if there are some we have missed this is a good place to talk about them. Rumored Nada Surf, Vampire Weekend, Local Natives, Girls, Soundgarden, The National, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros

I applaud the hell out of this.
And I also maintain that Broken Social Scene are a strong rumor for this year.

I explained my Arcade Fire logic in the last Headliners thread, which is why I'm watching the Roo lineup so carefully despite not going to Roo.

Based on tour dates we have been assuming The National will be there as well. For some reason consequence of sound has Cymbals eat guitars as confirmed but I would put them here as a rumor (based on them skipping seattle on their tour)

Sunny Day Real Estate is at Primavera, aren't they? Despite Pavement's flight over, is it likely they'd make the flight too? Would definitely love to see them again if they do.

I'm going to make a bold prediction, but I believe that Dr. Dog will be there. I know they are playing Primavera, but it is toward the end of their stint in Europe, they skip Seattle and Vancouver on their current tour and they kick ass.

The Bonnaroo lineup is slowly being revealed on myspace as we speak. It being just a couple weeks after Sasquatch I am making a prediction that some bands might wind up at the Gorge too.
Based on the new and improved dance tent announcement this year
Bassnectar (Playing Coachella and Bonnaroo, no other dates between 5/1 and 6/11.) Thievery Corporation (Playing Bonnaroo, no other 2010 dates)
Other Crossover predictions Flaming Lips (When are they not rumored) She and Him (playing Coachella and Bonnaroo, plus M Ward does love the squatch) OK Go (No US dates announced) Weezer (Only listed date is 5/2, it's possible) Gwar (I'm just hoping that we maybe can see some dinosaurs get slaughtered, no other dates besides Roo) Damian Marley & Nas (Could be this years Mos Def)
Lemme know what you think. I can legitimately argue that no one should rip my argument to shreds because none of those bands have dates conflict

Rise Against just got added for Bonaroo (via their mailing list) but I'm thinking it's highly unlikely they'll hit Sasquatch too given the way the lineup is falling out.

The Black Keys are another Bonnaroo band that would be perfect for the Sasquatch Indie crowd. No dates between 4/27 and Bonnaroo have been announced (fingers crossed).

Okay, I have been following this because I am a huge fan, I believe I can now make this a viable rumour... Tallest Man on Earth has added American dates to his tour. He has a date set up for Vancouver (Yes!!!!) and Portland, but no dates in Washinton State. His tour dates conveniently end May 28th. He may be just as likely to go to the Summercamp Festival (as his tour ends in Illinois - where Summercamp is), but I am hoping nonetheless he comes to Sasquatch. www.deadoceans.com/shows.php

Phosphorescent has a US tour listed up until April 15. None of the dates are west coast, so it might make sense for him to come over for Sasquatch. Although his last date on his myspace is in Florida...
It was mentioned in the last rumor thread and not talked about much, but Kings of Convenience could also be a possibility. Their website says they are setting dates for a US west coast tour. Big festivals might not really be their thing though.

The Bassnectar (Playing Coachella and Bonnaroo, no other dates between 5/1 and 6/11.) Not that it TOTALLY rules them out, but Bassnecter IS playing Summer Camp Music Festival in IL, which is May 28-30.

the Black Keys were mentioned earlier, which would be great. I don't know that it makes them any more or less likely, but they are actually playing Wakarusa in the midwest before Bonnaroo. It remains that they have a huge gap in their dates, but they aren't really moving around enough to indicate they'll play anywhere on the west coast. They do seem to be targeting festivals though...

And let's not forget that the main stage between-set music was constantly The Black Keys during either 08 or 09. It's time for The Black Keys.

im going to again mention the possible rumor of the john butler trio being there. with their tour dates listed they go as far west as california then head to europe ending europe dates on May 1st with a suspect gap of no shows until Wakarusa June 6th and Bonnaroo June 13th. not to mention a new album coming. im going with 80 percent being there.
