Does anyone have a clue when camping sites will be going on sale for the '10 festival? I know Wildhorse is already taking orders but I want to stay in the on-site premium grounds again. I actually got plenty of sleep each night this year instead of getting next to none in the general grounds in '08, thanks to all the heavily intoxicated bros partying til 5am.

I believe they go on sale at the same time as the festival tickets usually do, around late February.

Answered my own question when I bought a 3-day pass this morning. Camping is already available as an add-on but doesn't show up when you search on Ticketmaster. It set me back $370 for festival tickets + premium camping

Yeah, I got my 3 day pass before the premier camping was available and now they don't sell it separately. Does anyone know how I can get camping without having to buy an additional three day pass?

You might try going to one of TM out lets, and buying it there. Or maybe call ticketmaster and ask to buy it...

Anyone know how the camping setups work?? If we have 2 camping tickets bought on separate occasions and arrive at same time, are we able to camp next to each other?

Yes, as long as you arrive together you will be able to camp together, otherwise its not likely you will be able to.

incase anyone was wondering, I sent a question asking if you're allowed to bring 5 people to a premium campsite since I had heard there was a 4 person limit last year. I got a reply back literally a month later saying that it was fine, provided all 5 people arrived in the same vehicle. I was worried for a while that the 5th person was going to have to buy a second campsite just to be able to stay with us.

Hi - I have a premium camp site plus two 3-day passes purchased a couple of months ago and regrettably, am now unable to attend the festival. Selling everything at my cost, which is 170.00/US for the camp site and $170/US for each of the 3 day passes. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

So if I just buy one camping pass it is good for how ever many are in the vehicle or just 4 people?

So if I just buy one camping pass it is good for how ever many are in the vehicle or just 4 people? i'm pretty unclear about this even after getting an email back from them. i think you can bring as many people as you can stuff in one vehicle to a premium spot, but there's a 4 person limit on regular spots. i could be wrong though, they don't exactly make their policy on this well known.

Last year, when I e-mailed them there was a limit of 4 people per spot for premium camping, you each need a wristband and they only give you 4 per ticket.

Just a warning from someone who paid the big bucks to stay at the "Premier" Campground in 2009...DO NOT PAY EXTRA TO STAY IN PREMIER CAMPING!!!! It was a massive rip-off and while the festival itself was excellent, the organizers should be ashamed of themselves for screwing festival goers out of their money for this sham of a "premier" campsite.
There was absolutely nothing "premier" about this campground. It was right next to the much cheaper general campground. In fact, if it weren't for a wire mesh fence and a 6-7 foot wide dirt road dividing the two sites, you couldn't have told the difference between the two camping sites. pooper to pooper camping, filthy toilettes and showers, absolutely no noise difference from the general site right next door and oh yeah, the shuttle bus that was supposed to let you in early didn't arrive until almost 2 hours after the festival gates opened on the first day!!
If you don't care about noise and want to party for 3 days then just get general admission camping. If you want a slightly quieter experience with clean toilettes and showers then book at the Wildhorse Campground. Everyone I met at the festival who stayed at Wildhorse said it was far superior and at $90 its about half the price of "Premier" camping.

Everyone I met at the festival who stayed at Wildhorse said it was far superior and at $90 its about half the price of "Premier" camping. I agree, Premier camping was crap last year, which is why I complained to the organizer, who promised me they would have more showers this year (and also gave me 2 free premier campsites for my feedback). Premier is MUCH quieter and the bus ride there/back is nice. Also, Premier campers can go into general camping and party and go back to premier when they need piece and quiet. General campers cannot go to Premier at any time. My friends that stayed in General camping last year hated it b/c the noise never ends, and they are pretty avid partiers. For Premier, unfortunately they overestimated how many people were coming last year and squished everyone into one area, then when they realized there was craploads of room left, people that arrived later got the prime spots with huge amounts of room, anyone could have moved to those spots if they wanted to. Regarding the amount of people in a campsite. 2 years ago I emailed them about a month before the fest and they told me that we could just pay extra to have the 5th person stay in our site (I believe it was around $100). Anyone with 5 people should email them and print their reply and bring it with you. We had to argue for about half an hour to get the 5th person in b/c the people running the campsites have little/no involvement with the people putting it together, so there was a communication issue. But in the end they allowed us 5 people. Hope that helps.

I just bought a premier camping spot and I was wondering if I can park my truck in the camping spot. The truck has a little camper top that we're going to convert into a bed and camp out in. I know that rvs are allowed but when you look at the truck it looks like a normal truck. Thanks for any information.

Also, is it possible to bring outside booze into the camping area? I'm assuming that we aren't allowed to bring alcohol onto the actual festival grounds (which is totally understandable) but I've heard that we can bring our own stuff to the campgrounds. I'm driving all the way from south Louisiana so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the festival and its rules. Thanks for the help!

yeah they let you have one vehicle per campsite, and alcohol is allowed within each campsite, they don't let you walk around with bottles though from what i hear.

I'm not here to argue with you, but I will say that I had a completely different experience in the Premier Lot. While the setups are the same, the parking spots are larger, and there's less people to fight for showers (this plus is worth the money alone).
I actually DIDN'T like how quiet the Premier lot was. I was looking to party more and it was a lot of groups keeping to themselves. That's fine and all but not what I was looking for.
All of the grounds people were also extremely friendly and when I go back this year I wouldn't go without the Premier pass.
