So I met this girl tonight at Noah and the Whale and she had her Sasquatch wristband on.
I asked her who she saw at Sasquatch and this is what she told me "Well I saw Noah and the Whale (because I LUFF THEM SO MUCH!!!), and that Iron band, Bright Eyes, and well there were so many bands I don't remember anyone else."
I can understand there were a lot of bands but she couldn't even give me a decent list off the top of her head. I later realized why when during N&TW's set she was freaking out over how good looking the band members were. I'm quite positive she just went for them (and probably Bright Eyes).

I honestly don't read reviews anywhere online. I'll glance at them in magazines, but I tend to review things myself. I mainly use blogs for the news, and introductions to new (most likely hype) bands.

My friends saw U2 last week (while I was seeing This Will Destroy You) and loved it!
Anyways just got home from Noah and the Whale (great show, too many teenagers)
I know most of you don't care for them, but I'm stoked to see Biffy Clyro headline a show here tomorrow (as they've only opened).
Ratatat on Saturday night.

I read Consequence of Sound, because they are pretty good at getting all the news I care about off the other websites I don't care to visit.
I also read Brooklyn Vegan.
Than a few random scottish blogs, and some blogs by some locals here.

Is it just me or does anyone else think it will be hard for them to nail down the exact same headliners for two weekends. Not only the headliners, but what about the smaller bands? What are they suppose to do with their time. Maybe this will mean more bands will have to tour a little bit more besides Coachella. It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off. I'd be hesitant to purchase tickets for the second weekend right now though.

Alright, thanks for the input. More than anything I wasn't sure if my budget was going to allow me to see Man Man, but luckily I found some cash while cleaning so now I am going.

Thanks, I just wanted to get an idea, thinking it might actually be easier to drive, as it doesn't take that much longer. Than we have a car somewhat nearby too. (the hardest part would be finding a place to park for the day)

I think I'm going to buy a few passes. I'll be in WA this year during the block party visiting my sister and her husband. Mainly I just want to be there on the day EITS plays (well I'd go to all of it but my sister wouldn't want to). MY plan is to buy passes on friday, and than when single day tickets go on sale I'll see about getting some of those (and than selling the passes). If I can't get single days than at least I have the passes.
Quick question, what times do the headliners usually finish? I'm just wondering since we'd have to catch a ferry to get back to my sisters place.

Yes, I do frequent Slowtrain quite often, and Alexis Gideon's album is amazing.
I'm glad Slowtrain has done so well for themselves. They really do a great job. Last week I asked if they had a record in stock yet. They said they had ordered it and would give me a call when it came in. They called me today, and not only did they let me know the album had arrived, but they set one aside (which I didn't ask them to do). I wish I could be there for there RSD. They started allowing people to build a credit to use on record store day back in Feb. Instead I have to settle for one of the Zia Records in Las Vegas.
Yeah, I plan on saving up for better things, even if I have to buy each a little at a time. Since I have this pioneer turntable, it will probably be awhile until I purchase a new one.

Want: The Sumiko Pro-Ject Debut III. I want to buy it and eat it. I loved this turntable. Unfortunately I do not own one, but the record store I frequent most often uses these (they sell them as well). Anyways they sound amazing. As for myself, I have a Crosley record player I got about 4 years ago, it works well for what I need now, and doesn't take up too much space. In December at a white elephant party for work I received a Pioneer PL-300. It's kind of crazy the girl who put it as a white elephant purchased it at an antique store. She told me she couldn't find speakers for it ( I don't think she realized you had to have a pre-amp). Anyways this white elephant was just things you had a home to which I contributed a white elephant I once received from a white elephant. I'd say I got pretty lucky. I don't have my own setup for it yet, but I've taken it to my friends house to test it out, and it works great. I just want to save the money up to get something decent, and than perhaps eventually I'll buy a project turntable.
