This song on a Monday evening, right before Sufjan Stevens takes the main stage and the sunset, I rampantly speculate a perfect moment leading into another perfect moment.

I REALLY hope Grimes isn't on the Bigfoot stage. Just once I'd like to see/hear her with proper sound. I saw her at the Paramount and it sounded the same as it did on the Bigfoot. Either she has the worst sound guy in history or she's just, like, a really terrible performer. My money is on both. Thanks for the heads up. I'm stoked to see Grimes on the main stage, but I'm only going for a few songs because King Gizzard.

Ya'll think they'll have something special for Sasquatch? The first song I ever heard by The Cure was "Killing an Arab", I was hooked from there. I'm guessing in today's political climate, regardless of the song's true origins and meaning, I shouldn't get my hopes up to see it live. But in 2007/08 they revised the lyrics (and title for that tour?) to "Killing Another", either way, I love that song.

Here on assignment alone...Never been to a fest by myself someone help Sunscreen. Hydrate. Warm clothes for the night. Know your limits. Say hi to people. Day drinking is fun but remembering the shows you saw is even more fun. Booze in the venue is way overpriced. Pack snacks to bring in the venue with you. Stake your tent down into the ground. Don't miss Mac DeMarco.

Gotta love all the product placements on the map. That should mean we go to those locations to get comped some free shit, but I doubt it. Did that mean anything in previous years? The Mio tent was great last year, as much Mio as you want to help hydrate and they gave us bottles of it to bring back to camp. A couple years ago Sharpie was a sponsor which was cool, scored a ton of colours (a bit of a marker and art supply nerd). Twix as a sponsor was fuckin hilarious, they had 4 huge tables, with 2 small Tupperwear bowls of half melted mini chocolates placed on each of these huge tables. It looked like a really bad set up for a Halloween party.

This article by Brooklyn Vegan has got me even more pumped on this show. I think, after The Cure and Sufjan, Mac DeMarco might be my most anticipated act. *LINK HERE*Make sure to scroll down to the IG video of Mac covering Metallica's "Enter Sandman" starring whacky-waving-inflatable arm-flailing tube-man.

My fucking wristbands arrived today!!!!! Yes! Here's the thing though, they came express post dated 2016-05-11 at 23:04, meaning they were mailed AFTER I called, complained, talked to supervisors, and they took my confirmation number. Here's hoping they looked into everyone's, and all the Canadians have a happy snail mail weekend. Edit: if you look at the very top of this photo (middle but towards the left) you can see the date it was mailed. I ordered these pre-sale and they were only mailed a couple days ago. Oh well, I'm stoked they're here!!

And here I am not even realizing that kids could get in. I sure saw high schoolers last year, but no one that I would put under 17. Keep in mind we stay in Terrace camping (NOT district 9), and they've been to many local festivals which has enabled me to raise them to be festival-smart (don't eat or drink anything unless it's from our camp or I say it's ok, planned meeting spots, whistles to blow to draw attention to them if something goes wrong, etc.). But yeah, my boys kill it there. Definitely wise in the way hydration, sun protection, etc. Probably more festival-ready then most of the 18yr olds I see, haha.

The irony is we broke up a week and a half ago, distance related issues, but will still attend together as we are on great terms. I'm always set to meet anyone anytime! omg I jinxed it... sorry! bad timing! Say hi if you see me - I have blueish/purple hair and am attending with my husband and 11 and 12yr old, it's my first Sasquatch I'll be there with my sons as well,13 and 16. They're seasoned veterans, been going since they were 8 and 10, haha. Maybe we'll run into each other.

Right on! Thanks for emailing them. Here's the number that I had the most success with: 1-800-512-7469, it's 1 of 2 Frontgate numbers. For some reason I got lucky with this one though as I ended up in the warehouse talking to a real guy instead of some generic PR person. The dude I talked to said that if they don't arrive by the end of next week he recommends calling live nation and setting it up as a Will Call pickup. He said if it's not set up as a will call pick up in advance then it could be an even bigger hassle once we get there. That was his personal opinion, not a statement from Frontrow.

So after contacting Sasquatch about the issue of wristbands not arriving, and then having them tell me to contact LiveNation, having LiveNation tell me to contact Sasquatch, having Sasquatch give me another LiveNation number, and then speaking to a LiveNation floor supervisor, and then having that supervisor take my name down and tell me he would contact Sasquatch to see what's going on and then call me back, the only help I've actually received was from Pea. Today I called 2 different numbers belonging to Frontgate (On Pea's recommendation). It took very little research to find the warehouse number and I was able to speak to a guy who was genuinely helpful. So this is what I've learned: Frontgate are in charge of fulfilling the order slips they receive from LiveNation/Sasquatch. BUT, Frontgate does not have access to order confirmation numbers. According to the gentleman I spoke to, the Sasquatch order forms they received were fulfilled according to their records. So here are the potential issues he stated: if Sasquatch/LiveNation did not specify International ordering then Frontgate would not have fulfilled the orders under that criteria, meaning they won't make it to Canada. OR, things are just being held up at the border due to the large quantity Frontgate sent. Luckily the dude I spoke to was feeling my sorrow and was super cool about helping. He took down my confirmation number, called his warehouse manager (who has magical powers beyond the staff I was talking to) and the warehouse manager said he would track down my parcel to see what's up. They definitely found it odd that soo many Canadians did not receive their wristbands but Americans did. So that's what I know. When I hear back from LiveNation and/or Frontgate I'll let you all know.

Hey Pea, maybe change the name of this thread to "Lockers & Wristbands"? Figured it would represent better seeing as I hijacked it, haha.

Did you get yours yet? Or have any Canadians in here receive theirs? I contacted Sasquatch FB by private message and their response was "Hi No Real Names, we're sorry to hear this! Best option for this is to contact Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 regarding your tickets. Thanks!"... This is exact number I called before and they told me they have no record of being responsible for the mailing of passes or bracelets (and then told me to contact the festival)... I'm trapped in a circle of people passing the buck and no one knowing anything. I'm sure it will all work out eventually, but fuck, c'mon, this is ridiculous. No I haven't received mine yet. As you mentioned, it'll all work out (hypothetically) and we will have our wristbands for the festival. Given that I'm driving all that way, I just don't like the idea of someone saying they will be at will call without proof of that being the case. The last thing I want, or need, is to get to will call on Friday and end up in an argument over the issue. I'm hoping they arrive by the end of this week. Agreed. So I just spoke to a floor supervisor at ticketmaster and explained what the festival response was to my inquiry. He took my name and number down and said he's going to call the festival promoter contact number he has to figure out why they are directing calls to them and ask about the outstanding passes not yet received (using my reference number to locate mine as well). I know this will all work out, I'm more interested in holding someone accountable for this bullshit run-around act that Sasquatch and ticketmaster/JiveNation are pulling. If I'm putting in the time to find my passes, they should too. I'm not accepting any of these generic answers that don't answer the question. Not letting them off the hook that easy, haha.

Seriously! Get it together Sasquatch. I was feeling impatient yesterday so I called JiveNation and was told they are not mailing them out this year and I am to contact the festival directly as they have assumed responsibility for delivery. BUT if they don't arrive in time THEN call JiveNation and they will "coordinate with the festival for a transfer of wristbands to be picked up instead of mailed". All of this I knew, but I was tired of sitting around and doing nothing so I figured I'd waste my time by doing something that would lead to nothing That sounds fucking ridiculous. I mean if I have to get them at will call then so be it, but fuck. What a joke. Did you get yours yet? Or have any Canadians in here receive theirs? Alright! Just booked a locker and it was only $60.00 for the four days as opposed the $80 that I thought it was. Not sure why the price dropped, but I'm not complaining. Now all I need is for my fucking wristbands to arrive in the mail. Seriously! Get it together Sasquatch. Burrito flew down there yesterday for it. I think it goes without saying that he's pretty crushed. I feel terrible for the guy. King Gizzard posted on FB that they were still heading there and they would announce a venue as soon as they locked one down. I'm hoping more bands did the same to help take the sting out of the festival cancellation. But still, damn that sucks.

Man I'm getting really excited to see Unknown Mortal Orchestra. I've been listen to them on repeat for days, and if they bust out that "Shakedown Street" track they contributed to the Grateful Dead tribute album that The National put together I'll be one happy camper! It took me nearly a dozen listens to decide whether I even like their version of "Shakedown", so when it finally hit me in the heart I became super stoked at the possibility (however small it is) that I may see/hear it live. I think that might be my most anticipated song of the whole festival (although I'm going to try to keep my expectations of them playing it in check).
