It's never too early to start speculatin'. Let's do this.
I'll just get this out of the way right up front: Radiohead should be done with their new album by the end of the year, so they're already confirmed. Don't even bother saying otherwise.
Who else you got?

Grimes should be dropping her new album by the end of the year, which makes spring a good time for a tour.
Kraftwerk is playing Portland for the first time in 134 years, so I'd call them a lock.
A Blanck Mass late night set is my dark, sexual horse of 2016. Show me that detritus.

Alanis Morrisette and Adele in another thread. Adele would be kinda cool in her own way, but I don't really see it happening. She doesn't seem like a festival act and I would think she could fill a venue like the Gorge on her own. Alanis, on the other hand, I see as a very realistic and cool possibility. She would fill the token 90s alternative star role perfectly and she is right in line with Sasquatch's M.O. of booking strong female acts. Speaking of strong female acts, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Alabama Shakes somewhere on the top two lines of the poster.

Here's my post from last year's thread: How soon is too soon to create a Rampant Speculation 2016 thread? This thread was created two weeks from now this time last year! Consequence of Sound posted a fun 20-act wishlist of artists they'd like to see at festivals next year. They said that Alanis Morissette and Adele would be ideal for Sasquatch. I agree and think both sets would be received well. Adele could likely sell out the Gorge on her own and she doesn't enjoy playing festivals because she fears a panic attack, so that won't happen, but it's fun to talk about nonetheless! I except some acts like Alabama Shakes, Beach House, Blind Pilot, CHVRCHES, Disclosure, and Vince Staples. And while I know the headliner formula never repeats itself, I think Neil Young (+ the Promise of the Real or whatever) would fit perfectly at Sasquatch. Yes, I know we are 5 months away from the lineup announcement, but Coachella rumors and other festival rumors will pick up soon, and I'm antsy! And Professor Pancakes, Speaking of strong female acts, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Alabama Shakes somewhere on the top two lines of the poster. I wouldn't be surprised to see Alabama Shakes headline. I could dig up the Edgefield headliner one summer becomes Sasquatch headliner the next summer theory I've referenced before, but the most likely act to continue the trend would be Alabama Shakes. They sold out PNW amphitheaters this summer. The only question in my mind is whether they'll still be touring next summer.

...Adele in another thread. Adele would be kinda cool in her own way.... "Dude, ur gettin' Adele!" I don't actually think Adele will be there, I was just trying to make a computer commercial joke. But speaking of ladies... I could definitely see Snacks booking Deradoorian and hopefully she comes as a package deal with ANIMAL COLLECTIVE!!!

Forget what I've said about wanting Neil Young as a token legacy headliner (and yes, I know there isn't one every year). While he would be cool and I'd be all for it, I'm now hoping for David Gilmour. 28 shows this year and next year all over the world, with only three measly shows in LA to satisfy his west coast fans. I doubt it will happen, but it should.

Until it happens, I will continue not to expect it to happen.

Headliners confirmed: Muse, Adele, Alabama Shakes, Imagine Dragons The Imaginary Dragons were on the Muppets last night. They're officially too big for Sasquatch. David Bowie, on the other hand, is still a real possibility.
