The last three years have all had one hip hop headliner. We've speculated several possible hip hop acts but, other than Macklemore, none that would qualify as headliners. Any other ideas? I think Lupe Fiasco would make for at least a sub and could even headline a night at a lower cost than say a Kanye, thus freeing up money in the budget to pay for The Cure and LCD Soundsystem. Spoiler alert: It's going to be Macklemore again Future? He might be too pricey now though. I hope we get Vince Staples, he wouldn't headline though.

The Thermals announced a new record today. They're always a possibility, being from PDX. Their yeti stage set a few years back was awesome.

Trying not to get my hopes up but I really want the LCD things to be true. Hoping the fact that they played both Coachella and Sasquatch in 2010, and his possible affinity for the fest by also playing a DJ set at the gorge post-lcd break up are signs in our favor. That headlining set would crush the Gorge.

This actually makes me think they won't play. Sounds like AEG signed them to an exclusive contract and they'll only play AEG festivals. "Since receiving the initial offer from AEG, LCD Soundsystem have signed on to headline several other prominent music festivals across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe." That quote makes it sound like they went and booked other festivals after the AEG bookings. I read it the same way, like they booked the AEG fests first and then went on to book other major fests.

Also, what about Beach House? They had a big 2015 and aren't yet scheduled to play the NW and don't currently have a conflict. I feel like they're approaching the level of a national/bon iver/sleater kinney sized headliner, or a sub-headliner at a minimum. Just totally randomly speculatin' here.

Levitation Austin got them, so there could possibly be some crossover Holy shit. I know Brian Wilson is old, and probably isn't great, but if he's even half on his game, seeing him perform Pet Sounds would be awesome.

Just saying, Ween added another date: Okeechobee Festival in Florida. Beat me to it. The boognish could be returning to the gorge.

Ha! Why is At the Drive-In playing that Rock on the Range fest? Besides them and DFA1979, maybe a couple of others, that's one of the most absurd lineups I've ever seen.

Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes released a cover song yesterday and the band's official facebook page posted a mysterious picture. Gotta think that if there's a reappearance of Fleet Foxes, there's a strong chance they'll be at Sasquatch. The squatch loves the foxes.

You're probably right. I wasn't there that year, but it looked amazing. All I've heard was great things.

I know it was already brought up, but Ween is the best. Probably the best headliner I've seen at Sasquatch in the 7 times I've been. Can't wait to see them again in February.

Ween is back. Sasquatch should get Ween again. They were amazing the year they headlined.

1. Hot Chip 2. Modest Mouse 3. Run the Jewels 4. Father John Misty 5. Tame Impala 6. St. Vincent 7. Robert Plant 8. James Blake 9. Future Islands 10. Schoolboy Q
Honorable mentions to: Gogol Bordello, Sleater Kinney, Kendrick Lamar, Spoon, War on Drugs, Sylvan Esso, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and Jungle.
Really tough to narrow down, and this isn't really in order as all these acts were great. Hot Chip and Modest Mouse were for sure my top two though.

This allows Perfume Genius to fit really well into my schedule when before I wasn't able to see him so that's great It also works a lot better for my schedule, and I'll see him now where I probably wouldn't before. Just seems like a weird fit in terms of stage.

Perfume Genius in the dance tent? Uh. Ok. I streamed the Perfume Genius set from Coachella and ya...definitely not a dance tent fit at all. Most songs were pretty somber.
