I've been trying to decide if I should go with Bose, Sennheiser or Audio-Technica. I can read online reviews all day, but it doesn't compare to hearing it for myself.
know ID yuh, was there anything specifically about the Bose that set it apart from the competition for you?

I guess I should check this guy these guys out. P might look like Dave's bodyguard, but he's part of the group too.

I don't want to spend 35 more minutes at my computer, but I may be forced to do so. Ridiculous performance.

Not on a lot of folks' radars (still might not be after this post), but I figured that anyone remotely interested in "classic soul" would probably enjoy his music.

The board should form a contingent of people that will ensure the DFA crowd doesn't look like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, yet again.

1. The Flaming Lips 2. Aloe Blacc 3. Ratatat 4. DFA 1979 5. Foo Fighters 6. Major Lazer 7. K-os 8. Local Natives 9. Gayngs 10. Sleigh Bells
This is subject to change since I have far more "catching up" to do than most of the board.

I also think they could pull off another stellar mid-day set with beach balls and giant inflatable whales being passed around the crowd. That's almost exactly what came to mind when I thought about how their performance might be with a mid-day time slot. If the lights were more integral to their live show, I'd be a bit more concerned, but I think the vibe from the crowd will more than make up for when they're slated to perform.

I was somewhat disappointed, but I blame myself for letting all the "Kanye, Daft Punk, Arcade Fire, etc." talk go to my head. Needless to say, I look forward to seeing a lot of the announced artists for the first time.

why the fuck did two of you in a row put method man and redman but not wu tang clan....that doesn't make any sense to me Because there's a good chance the Wu-tang set would be sub-par. Meth & Red don't have that problem.

This list is compiled solely on the fact that I have seen these artists put on a good live show. I could name a ton of artists I would want to see, but a lot of rappers just don't translate well to a live audience.
Q-Tip De La Soul The Roots Outkast (Big Boi by himself would also work) Busta Rhymes Kanye Method Man & Redman Lupe Fiasco B.o.B Jay-Z

Atmosphere would be tight, I dont think Slug would enjoy the festival scene a whole lot though he really seems to thrive in smaller, club-like venues. Given that Atmosphere has played Soundset since '08, I don't think they'd have a problem performing at a festival like Sasquatch. And DOOM. Shut up about his live act unless you've actually seen it, because I doubt any of you have. I've seen it. It was easily one of the worst sets I've seen from a hip-hop artist. I would hope that Sasquatch would invest their money in bringing hip-hop artists who perform a better live show.

I almost feel honored to be considered an alias. I guess now I need to do something outlandish to make a name for myself.

Also Darnielle is like the most self-indulgent songwriter I can think of that isn't Kevin Barnes. Kanye says Wassup I know he's an easy target, but that's a hip-hop thing in general.

Aloe Blacc
If anyone is a fan of soul music in the vein of such artists as The Dramatics & Syl Johnson, I strongly recommend checking out the album "Good Things".
Some of the best production I've heard on a soul record in some time and it has a little bit of everything. Hell, it even has a Velvet Underground (yes, you read that correctly) cover "Femme Fatale".
I could see him getting an early time slot like Mayer Hawthorne did last year.

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that a Mos Def and Talib Kweli reunion is long overdue. I heard they were announced as the first headliner for the Paid Dues festival. I would imagine that would keep them from coming this year. Anyway, for my money I'll take Busta Rhymes. The only time I had the chance to see him live, he destroyed everyone else on the bill. The one thing I could have done without was seeing him perform 2 or 3 songs with his entire ass hanging out.
