Picked up Cee Lo's new album today and I'm absolutely loving it. Would anyone else be excited to see him on the bill? One of my favorite releases of the year. I was pleased to discover that he was able to put together an album so different from his previous two, but still bring something to the table that is both cohesive and varied. I've given it multiple listens and really only find myself skipping "Fuck You" every once in awhile . Very happy to see him getting some well deserved praise outside of being "that Gnarls Barkley guy". I am definitely in favor of having him on the bill this year. If they manage to book both him and Janelle Monae, that'd be worth one day's ticket for me. Did you happen to get it at Best Buy? If not, make sure you check out "Grand Canyon". I can't believe that song only made the album as a bonus track.

And I've never listened to Janelle Monae, is she good? www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMyc148Do_QThis is a suitable introduction. Her stage presence is one of the best I've seen firsthand.

*slot (damn my torrible proofreading)
If they put Janelle on the Wookie stage with a more favorable time slot, I think she would win over nearly anyone within hearing distance. I just hate when people I would really enjoy seeing fall into time slots that interfere with my recovery from the day prior.
If they're looking to book some independent hip-hop artists with great live shows, I think the Cunninlynguists would be a good fit. The northwest seems to support them more than any other region in the U.S. and I know their following in Canada is pretty solid as well. Just not sure if they're a big enough draw for Sasquatch to book 'em.

I'd like to see Janelle Monae, but I get the feeling they would give her an early afternoon time slots.

Thank you sir. Hopefully, I do the name justice. I've seen that you have quite the affinity for The Residents. Affinity is a polite word. Are you a fan, or is that a coincidence? You made your very first post while I was hammering out that piece on Cube E this morning. Today is chock full of coincidences as it turns out. It is a coincidence, but I have to say that your "album of the day" posts have now led me on what is clearly going to be a VERY long journey through their discography.

I would love to see a bit more hip hop this year, Kanye would be great! I thought the amount of hip-hop artists booked last year was fairly decent. Last year was my first time attending, but the vibe I got from the crowd didn't really seem like they would embrace seeing an increase in the number of hip-hop acts for this year's festival.

I could see Theophilus London performing in the dance tent.
