I was thinking we should start a thread of educated suggestions for next year. This is not a wish list thread. bands that are either coming out with an album or have a chance of touring should be suggested. i know Adam Zack's personally and i will pass on any well backed suggestions.

In all seriousness though, tell Mr. Zack's to book the Residents: Says Mama Ralph: The Residents would love to tour the North West US again. Start buggin' your local venues to make them an offer! 2010 European tour wraps up late November; they're looking to hit the areas of the US they missed last spring, including the northwest. They just killed at Matt Groening's ATP. They're LEGENDARY. And it would be the fucking most awesome thing in the history of Sasquatch.

hornedgramma,
you confuse me. I don't whether I'd more likely see you at an Insane Clown Posse show or Burning Man; but it seems like you might fit in at either.

The Residents are the grandfathers of experimental electronic music. They are cited as a key influence on every band from Animal Collective to Ween. They are credited with making what are considered to be the first music videos: the 'One Minute Movies' from the Commercial Album era, which are on permanent display in the NY MOMA. They have a forty year career under their belt, during which time they have recorded everything from primal free jazz to an album of Hank Williams covers. They have been equally successful in punk clubs and off-broadway.
Says Lou Stathis, "To those ignorant of this bunch: be aware that they are the most uncompromising aggregation of muzick makers you are likely to come across. Ever. Simply put, The Residents not only exemplify the so-called underground, they are it. Period."
In other words, they are absolutely NOTHING like ICP.

Most of my bands in the other thread were more or less educated guesses based on new rising bands and new releases, but I'll re-compile some of them here.
I'm no good with guessing headliners, and after this year's set of curve balls I've got even less of a clue, but I just feel an Arcade Fire headlining slot HAS to happen. They're at the top of their game, have a number-one selling album in the country, haven't played Sasquatch since 2007, and will still be riding The Suburbs well into the Spring. Perfect headliner IMO.
The only other band I can think of right now as a headliner would be Radiohead. They're new album is due out sometime between late 2010 - early 2011. Being the 10 year anniversary, I would LIKE to hope some killer big name bands will be on the bill. Daft Punk has the Tron OST coming out but I just don't see them making a Sasquatch appearance. Definitely on my wish list though.
Other bands I've started speculating about:
Chromeo - New album coming out next month and need to do an artist set after that less-than stellar DJ set in 2009.
Sleigh Bells - Sasquatch loves the "it" bands and seemed to miss the ball on them this year. I'm almost certain they will be making an appearance.
Yeasayer - I was surprised to not see them on the bill also this year. My gut tells me we will see them holding down a slot similar to Passion Pit's this year on the main stage.
Fleet Foxes - Pretty sure they will have a new album next year, and being the Sasquatch darlings that they are I'm betting they will be back.
Bassnectar - After his massive success at Coachella this year I'm thinking Zacks will want to bring some dubstep insanity.
Of Montreal - New album coming out next month. Had a huge crowd last year, I can see them coming back and doing it again.
S. Carey - Drummer for Bon Iver who has a new album out. Perfect Yeti Stage artist.
Cut Copy - Many people have asked for them over the years and I think it's just time that they finally get brought up here. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a new album out soon as well.
Deer Tick - They've been gaining ground lately, and even though I'm not a fan of their new album I could see them making up part of the "folk" niche of the lineup.
Phoenix - Not into them really but there is no denying how hot they are right now. Another band that I was surprised not to see on this year's bill.
Brandon Flowers - His debut album comes out next month. I'm sure he'll be stopping by almost every festival next year.
Chemical Brothers - I'll admit, this is definitely a "wishlist" addition for me. But with a new album that just came out I could see them OWNING one of the late night sets.
As for returning bands from 2010, I seriously think we will see Mumford & Sons and/or Local Natives holding a mainstage slot this year. I call it the Fleet Foxes/Passion Pit affect.
I've got a handful of other hunches but no real reasons to support them other than their hipness/current popularity factor. (Surfer Blood, Fang Island, etc etc)

^^Pretty much agree with that. My optimistic guesses for headliners are Radiohead, Arcade Fire, and either Belle and Sebastian or The Shins, with the subheadliners being Interpol, Phoenix, and Death Cab. For late night slots I would love, love, love the Chemical Brothers and Justice, though I think either of them could headline a night, especially Chemical Brothers (they're roughly the same in popularity as Massive Attack, right?). A more conservative guess would be Bassnectar and Chromeo, which would still be amazing. Would think Matt and Kim, and Santigold are good possibilities as mid day mainstage dance acts. With that "Fuck You" song starting to blow up It'd be sweet if Cee-Lo were there. I can't see Sasquatch not booking Die Antwoord this year. I also wouldn't be surprised if Bad Religion is there as they're making an effort at some sort of comeback. It'd be great if Cake took over the spot that TMBG left. those are my educated suggestions/ guesses. edit: oh, and even though I have a feeling he'd hate Sasquatch (though he did play coachella), bring me motherfucking APHEX TWIN

Cake is just done recording their new record, and they're already doing preliminary touring for it. mr Sword here makes a fine point; they'd be perfect in that Sunday afternoon slot which is always relegated to underappreciated 90's bands (TMBG, PotUSA). Also I haven't seen Cake since 1998 so if somebody wanted to make that happen I'd be pretty thrilled.
How about some Man Man this year, too? They were on tour with Gogol Bordello when they did Squatch year before last but they didn't play a set, what the eff.
Sub-headlining slot to Sufjan Stevens? Sufjan's `06 set is probably my favorite Sasquatch memory out of all the years I've been going.
Anyway tell Adam Snack's that pretty much everyone is counting on Radiohead being there so he better pull out his wallet and dig deep.

Sorry Dude, I am not sure where I compared Residents to ICP. Knowing next to nothing about them, why would I make such a ill-advised association? But thanks for the history lesson nonetheless. However, your crass and pompous attitude combined with your general appreciation for abstract and weird artforms makes you quite unique to this board and thus perplexing; Making you a seemingly suitable posterchild for either fringe festival. BTW, I would love to see Cake, Man Man and Sufjan (again) at Sasquatch in '11. And I will familiarize myself more with the Residents. Evidently there is no appicable comparison for them, so I will not even try. Thanks for opportunity to reach out to new music. now go throw some more excrement at Tila Tequila there Juggs. People compare ICP to the Residents all the time. I guess it was just a coincidence.
I can't argue with 'crass' or 'pompous' as descriptors; I swear like a sailor fucking his mother, and I am pretty assured of my opinions. And I don't mind being perplexing, particularly.
You know what, though? I love Juggalos. They're like a different species: a species of creatures who are dumb as shit and don't care. A Juggalo is proof that ignorance is bliss.

Other possibilities that I would like:
Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit (they will for sure tour next year and didn't even touch the PNW last one)
Chk Chk Chk - New album just out, no PNW dates (though it' sstill early) and if you never seen them live, they fucking kill!

Oh man and I totally second Black Mountain. Also: new Mice Parade soon... Bring Adam Pierce out and while you're at it see if you can get Peter Katis to rally the Philistines Jr. THAT would be incredible. edit: Oh holy shit, this just in. Just fucking right this minute.

I could see:
Harlem Best Coast Real Estate Surfer Blood Local Natives again Liars Titus Andronicus Major Lazer Toro Y Moi
and a bunch of bands they've already mentioned On top of aforementioned headliners, though I think it was already mentioned in the other thread, maybe The Strokes
And an interesting idea, maybe that tour Weezer is trying to do where they go to a city and play all of Blue Album one night and Pinkerton one night (I have a feeling everyone on this board is either highly against or highly for this idea)
