Nope, good old American boy, and I'm fucking pissed about the date they chose. It works out best for his family to travel (he is originally from Kansas) that weekend so what can I really say. I've made it very clear with him that he ruined my Sasquatch, but I've gotta be there for him. Not that it is his fault, I've just always thought that if I want 100% of my invitees to attend my wedding, I will make it one the 47 weekends of the year they don't have booked already. And yes, I would skip Sasquatch for my best friend's wedding, maybe. Speaking of weddings on unfavorable weekends, do you know what weekend has the fewest amount of wedding per year? I read this once, so I cannot attest to it's accuracy, but it makes sense, and it's not xmas.

Oh, and I suppose there won't be much of a better time to say it, but the reason I plan to make it to one of these is because Sasquatch 2012 is 100% off the table for me now. My best friend is getting married the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend so it just isn't going to happen for me. It's heartbreaking, but hopefully Coachella and a new festival experience will make up for it. The most overrated thought that makes logical sense, getting married on a holiday weekend. Hey, it saves everyone having to take an extra day off work, but almost everyone has big plans for holiday weekends, plans they have to break for said wedding. Worst of all, your anniversary is usually a holiday. Why not make that special weekend no one cares about be your special weekend? Plus, the grandparents could care less about holidays, they are already retired. Rant over, congrats to your buddy, and weddings are always fun, so it will be a blast. Then again, your best friend is likely Canadian, so this holiday weekend talk probably doesn't apply.

I've been meaning to make it back to Chicago for a festival since 2008. Lollapalooza however is most least favorite festival. It's only dark for about 45 minutes because of the 10pm noise ordinance, and the main stages are literally a mile apart, so you can't move between them easily. Staying up until 430 a.m. at the bars, and eating spectacular food was the best part of my Chicago experience, and Radiohead.
In other words, it depends on the lineup/headliners. Chicago is a blast.

I created a league in ESPN. I'll send the league number and password to those who are playing. I capped the league at 12 teams. ESPN does not let you edit anything after the league is created. I previously mentioned I wouldn't create a league for another month if you couldn't edit the settings, but I figured it would be better to give ample time for people to sign up, so we know exactly how many extras we need to fill the league.

Hey Know, as a suggestion, can you start putting the grooveshark links in the first post when you update it with peoples' choices? It's a bit of a pain to hunt through the thread for them. Fine idea, but here is my 25% pompous (asshole) shining through. Free music is free no matter how you splice it. I pay $15 a month for virtually everything I listen to. I only mentioned grooveshark in the "rules" of this thread because grooveshark probably doesn't stream your best friend's band. It was more of a "this has to be known by more than just your close circle of friends." type of thing. PM emptyfox or I8, they have access to edit posts. I'm not against it, I just won't go through the 154 seconds to do it.

If quoting you out of context and making a grammar mistake or two are your biggest concerns with me then maybe I have done something right considering most newer posters don't even get that much appreciation. If you are trying to be ironic funny, you should do something like this: If quoting you out of context and making a grammar mistake or two are your biggest concerns with me then maybe I have done something right considering most newer posters don't even get that much appreciation.

Now you're young age could be a problem But that's bullshit like jaywalking You did misspell "you're", though. I put the joke in the 'your/my' basket instead of just being like "WRONG YOUR, DUDE." If quoting you out of context and making a grammar mistake or two eleven are your biggest concerns with me then maybe I have done something right considering most newer posters don't even get that much appreciation. Time for a lesson:

I saw sparks fly, from the corner of my eye And when I turned, it was love at first sight I said please excuse me, I didn't catch your name Oh it'd be a shame not to see you again And just when I thought she was comin' to my door She whispered sweet and brought me to the floor, she said I'm only seventeen, SEVENTEEN

I'm not sure that Why? is a band that I'm really need to see unplugged but I'll probably end up going to the show anyway, the chance to hear new songs is worth it The lead singer of Why? with no instruments would be more entertaining than half the bands I've seen. I don't recall ever playing air guitar or tapping my foot to the funky beats to a Why? song.

The draft will be live. The baseball draft was around 630pm which gave us westcoast folks who work normal hours time to get home and settled, while giving the Alaskan 30 minutes to do the same, and not keeping Stamper up too far past his bedtime. If you can't make the live draft, auto draft will pick your team based on ESPN's player ranking. You can edit those rankings pre-draft as well, if you want to move your favorite players up.
I'll check out the ESPN league over the next couple days to see if we are allowed to edit the amount of players in the league. In the past, I've signed up my yahoo league capping it at 14 teams, then if we couldn't fill the positions, we dropped that number the week before the draft. If that is possible in the ESPN league, I'll get it going soon. If it isn't, I'll wait until we know for sure who is playing. So far we have 8.5 interested. 8 would work, 10 or 12 would be ideal. Everyone pretty much plays head to head, so that is what we'll be doing.
Playing: Know Id yuh Drew Stamper Peter Gibbons Wompwomp Sagesquatch Shaxspear fig
Maybe: Cbats

Which site are you planning to use Know? We had an earlier vote for ESPN. I've used Yahoo for the last five or six years, so I'm used to that. Anyone other than the earlier vote have a preference? And Stamper, you know I was being ironic earlier when I called you out for making so many moves in fantasy baseball. At the time I posted it, we had the same number of moves.

still, the optimistic delusional side in me still thinks that i have a chance to finish in the top 3 That's cool, that's alright -- the delusional side of ME still thinks I have a chance to finish in the top 3, too. Realistically, Gramma probably has a better shot.
