As Stormy captured, "The Fig Face" which was the look of utter defeat after the gale force winds blew my girlfriends ticket out of my pocket on the way to he wristband line. While doing the zombie walk Saturday night after the Roots, my wristband FELL THE FUCK OFF. In a miraculous twist of fate, the sunshine girl on my right arm felt the wristband tickling her arm as it prepared to launch towards earth, so she looked down thinking it was a bug. She was holding my broken wristband in her hand two seconds later. I lost 90 minutes of my festival getting it replaced the next morning. If that wristband had hit the ground, I was heading home two days early.

You guys are about 0 for 74 in correctly identifying a troll as one of my accounts. The only plausible explanation is that it is Know. I blamed a mysterious $2 rise in my bank fees on Know today. That fucker 1 for 75.

Would y'all hate me if I told you I left The Cure's show in 2008 to eat popcorn with Wayne Coyne? I might.

The only reason single day tickets went on sale last year is because the four day passes didn't sell out right away. The passes went on sale one weekend, if they didn't sell out, the singles went on sale the next weekend. The passes were close to selling out, which is why the single tickets were gone in about five minutes.
Strike two would be LiveNation used to have the single day tickets listed on their site, going on sale the same day as the weekend passes. They removed the single day ticket listings recently. They were listed at about $104 per day after fees.
Pea's saving grace, one year they only sold a limited number of passes, then put single day tickets on sale. Those wanting to go every day had to buy each ticket separately, which created an extra $100 or so in fees per order. You think $315 for four days is bad now, you would end up paying over $400 for four single day tickets.

Bassnectar sold out in two days (1,500 venue). It took Justice 6 weeks to sell out the same venue. It's safe to say Bassnectar has blown up recently. A couple years ago, I was at a Bassnectar show with less than 1,000 people, and most of them were hippies. Kids these days.

They think they are sitting on a fantastic lineup to up the price. That would be my take. If the lineup is going to be great, they will end up giving even more tickets to their scalper site. Single day tickets also wouldn't be available.

It's been fun watching Pea's slow descent into madness these last couple days Yes, especially since he keeps blaming me for it.

Also, I loved Songs in A&E, but I hope the show is mostly from the first few albums. I've mentioned this at least four times on this board, but I saw them in a tiny venue (200 people) a couple years ago, and wasn't too thrilled. If it's billed as Spiritualized playing "Ladies And Gentleman We Are Floating In Space," it will be the biggest highlight of my weekend knowing I get to see most of the songs on that album live.

Cool you even mentioned Malkmus' birthday, because there are several factors involved in why Pavement wasn't the greatest show for non Pavement fans.
1. Jet Lag: They played in Europe a day or two before Sasquatch. 2. Malk's Birthday: He may have been drunk. 3. Massive Attack: They lost their headlining spot to Massive Attack at the last minute. 4. Kooks: Malk and the Jicks were pushed back almost an hour because of the Kooks in 2008, meaning they had to play a lot of their set opposite The Cure.
Malkmus had many reasons to not give a shit about that performance, and from what I've heard from Pavement fans, that's what they wanted to see. I enjoyed it.

I pretty much have the first four Monster Magnet albums memorized. The song "Spine of God" was on a cassette compilation made by a friend of a friend, and my cd player broke, so I only had tapes to listen to for several months. It's still my favorite song of theirs.
A couple years later, Powertrip was released, and they got really big. I turned down a free ticket during the Powertrip tour, because it was an out of town show, and the ticket was offered by a particularly clingy ex. I still haven't seen them live, nor did I realize they've had four albums since. I didn't know those albums existed until about six months ago.

On the other hand, I believe Ladies and Gentlemen... is one of Gunther's favorite records. But I don't believe even he would claim there is a better track on it. I actually like "I think I'm In Love," better.

I don't believe they've really been discussed! Nice find! I've never heard of them though. You guys are so cute. Wild Flag was the first rumored band on the blog two months ago. Everyone high five the new guy who is n.ow confirming them. Hahaha. EDIT: To add missed quotes: Since Wild Flag is going to be there, when do we start talking about Fred Armisen in the comedy tent? For those of you reading this who aren't attending Coachella, Wild Flag will be at Sasquatch, and M. Ward will likely be there.
