Tough Call. If you like Come With Us and Further, and it's my pick, the next stop is Surrender. Wtf Know, you haven't heard Surrender yet!? LISTEN RIGHT MEOW. I downloaded Surrender from my provider tonight, so you'll see it on my "Now Playing" list over the next couple weeks. Thanks for the suggestion.

By the way, I fully intend on writing a paragraph or two about each of the albums selected when I listen to them five times. I've always felt that is the median when it comes to forming an opinion for me. That is because as mentioned several times, sometimes I get really busy at work and don't pay attention to what I am listening to. I'm sure I can form a better opinion with two isolated listens, but I listen to most of my music at work.
With that said, cbats, I've listened to the Slint album four times, so I'll review it soon. Drew, I've listened to the CS album three times, so I'll review it soon after. Brad, I fully intend on listening to your album at least twice on Grooveshark, but streaming albums while at work isn't really an option, for reasons too boring and complicated to explain. I might review the Self album quicker, just because I really liked it after the first listen, and I don't usually have a strong opinion on an album that quick.
Agreed with Lumpy earlier, I was expecting whiney vocals, and didn't get what you guys were saying about it being whiney.

The Orb - The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld * Self - Breakfast With Girls Prince - Prince Our Lady Peace - Naveed
* The first time I've listened to the Orb album in about 16 years, yet "Little Fluffy Clouds" and "Perpetual Dawn" were still stuck to my brain like it was yesterday.

I hear the end of Prince's "Darling Niki" at the end of "Suckers" on the Self album, with the vocals played backwards and the sound of the rain. Yup, Prince fan here.

EDIT: No one likes Kylesa? Played with them more than once and seen them more times than I can count. Over it. This brings a less than often used question to mind.

With the first pick in the 2011 Sasquatch Board Fantasy Draft, Fig representing the Ace of Mase Bro-boys picks Brett Favre! I'm not sure Favre is the most bro player in the NFL, but I appreciate owning up to your roots, and your team name. I might suggest Ben Roofieberger as your number one pick. At least he will play.

Explosions in the Sky, MSTRKRFT, Neurosis, Blind Pilot, Macklemore, The Antlers, Sharon Van Etten, OFF!, Crooked Fingers, Tennis, Eluvium. I'll definitely be at Explosion in the Sky, Macklemore, The Antlers, and Eluvium. I won't be at MSTRKRFT or Sharon Van Etten, because they are playing during Macklemore. Neurosis, OFF!, Blind Pilot, and Tennis play at the same time, so I'll probably choose Neurosis. Crooked Fingers would mean a trip across town after the Kills and a late school night, so I'd probably choose bed. Looks like this schedule kicks you right in the groin for conflicts. EDIT: No one likes Kylesa?

Just to clarify "my" rules, I updated the first post. I am open to suggestions if these don't work.
Rules: 1. You must intend to listen to each album twice to participate. It's okay if you get behind, we all get busy. If you have no intention to listen to the suggested albums, and have already signed up, let me know, and I can remove your name. 2. The album you choose can't be your band, or your friend's band. It has to be somewhat accessible, so we can all track it down. As a rule of thumb, if it's not on Grooveshark (http://grooveshark.com/), it's probably too rare. 3. The album doesn't have to be your favorite, it should be an album that will generate discussion. There is no problem listing your favorite underrated album, but picking a classic album we've all heard is also encouraged. 4. Post your album as close to the Sunday you are signed up for. Don't post it before the previous work week is over (so Friday night is okay). If you are running behind, and can't write a review until later in the week, post your album early in the week, then write the review later. Part of the reason we want the album posted Sunday is so we all have a chance to find it. 5. Once we cycle through everyone who wants to play along, I'll start round two, and make the schedule in roughly the same order as listed below.
New To The Board/Late To The Game: You can still sign up. Again, you must have the intention to listen to every album on the list twice in order to participate. The more, the merrier. Many have to wait months to post their selection, so that gives ample time to catch up. Reviews are welcome, even if they are weeks/months later. It is never too late to sign up, or write a review, even if we are 100 albums deep.
Schedule: 6/26: N.A.S.A. - Spirit of Apollo (know ID yuh) 7/3: Slint - Spiderland (cbats) 7/10: Circulatory System - Circulatory System (drew) 7/17: The Lowest of the Low - Shakespeare My Butt...(bradberad) 7/24: Self - Breakfast With Girls (stormypinkness) 7/31 (J-Dawg) 8/7 (lumpy) 8/14 (wompwomp) 8/21 (Comeswithasword) 8/28 (friendlyD) 9/4 (HornedGramma) 9/11 (Rustneversleeps) 9/18 (Geno) 9/25 (EMptY) 10/2 (Souly) 10/9 (blacksmile) 10/16 (Stamper) 10/23 (newjersey)

Switchy make sure you catch Pig Destroyer if you can! Amazing grind with ridiculous shrieking vocals. Who else are your can't misses? I won't make Pig Destroyer either because it is at the farthest venue from downtown, and that venue sucks bad. Most of the venues are a ten minute walk from each other downtown.

In other words, your general wristband only guarantees you pay no cover charge at the venues. If you get there early enough, you should get in, but don't expect to try to wander into the Roseland or Crystal Ballroom right before the band you want to see starts.
To most of the venues, you can buy a ticket that guarantees you entrance to the event, regardless of the wristband. I've done this for the bands I can't miss. Each venue is only supposed to fill up the venue to capacity minus tickets sold and VIP pass holders. At that point, it is one in, and one out, so you could be stuck in the wristband line that doesn't move, but you might get in if a bunch of people leave.
VIPs are guaranteed entrance and no cover.
EDIT: To answer your question, Those paying at the door have the same priority as wristband holders, unless the venue sells hard tickets, and have them available the day of. Technically, they should still allow space for that potential ticket holder, even if the wristbanders are at capacity.

I'm still disappointed with the headliners, because I wouldn't pay to see either of them again, but getting to see them each another time doesn't suck. The best part about the festival is the schedule. Of the 20-25 bands I would enjoy seeing, I only have to miss about three of them. The "main stage" Pioneer Courthouse shows start and finish early, so they don't conflict with other bands. Plus, all of the openers for the Pioneer Courthouse shows are bands I've seen and enjoy live, or bands I want to see.

So Kanye and Jay Z touring together with PacNW stops. Anyone planning on going? Depending on the price I'm going to try to get tickets for the San Jose show. Hot damn, I guess I'll have to hit the Tacoma show, assuming I can get the time off. I'll have to get rid of my Battles ticket, who are playing the same night.

I get the feeling this fire sale will result in Stamper getting Cat's two best players.

Ok cowboy, I have room for one more Chemical Brothers album in my library. Friendly made me listen to Come With Us, and the first song is fantastically ridiculous. Pea made me listen to Further, and I can't get over how much I love "Horse Power."
I like the flow of each album, but I still love those catchy tracks. So which album do I check out next. You've put a lot of time into this thread, so your opinion wins.
By the way, I don't like singles or EPs. Just give me an album. It appears they have all of them on my provider.

Haha, of course it isn't real, that is why it is so funny.
Although, as bad as KOL are live, I wouldn't be surprised if it was real.

I'm not sure my team has hit four HRs in a day all season. There are always days when your team goes off in certain categories, but HRs hasn't been my thing this season. That is what makes this story so strange.
The A's aren't playing tonight, and I'm home. With Thursday being a travel day, there are only a couple games, and most were day games. Therefore, I had the Tigers game on, only to see Boesch and Peralta both go deep. Seeing your fantasy players hit a HR is rare. Then I switched to the Diamondbacks game, the only other night game, and saw Upton and Montero hit HRs in the same inning. I've seen four of my fantasy guys hit HRs tonight!

Oh yeah, that KOL show at Sasquatch was dreadfully boring. It looked like they just woke up about after partying all night, which is quite possible. This has been posted before, but it's been a year or so, and we have some new regulars who will enjoy it. This performance is much better than they displayed at Sasquatch, but is still pretty bad: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOF1FJ7wGhw

Nah, cbats is in, he's the troll. I believe it's wompwomp who hasn't signed up yet, but he's going to, or has been at Oshega, so he'll probably sign up next week.
