Okay thanks,
I heard one of the side effects of Phish Rage is uncontrolled anger towards animal collective.
but seriously, I think a Phish set would be awesome, nothing against them.
I just don't see it.( not because they are to big), but because they would do the gorge ala DMB, a weekend bash at the gorge.

that same solo then went on for additional 54 minutes... C'mon Stamper, you may not like 'em but even you're better than that! "Animal Collective just sits and fiddles with knobs, BOOOO, YUCK, HISS, BARF!" - aka I just let everybody know I don't know what the FUCK I'm talking about and LITERALLY regurgitated the same tired shit EVERYBODY else who doesn't know has said and have therefore directly robbed myself of enjoying and understanding an incredibly unique show that if I gave the chance to see, opposed to aping other people's non-sense, I just might have my brain ejected to the cosmos. Can some one translate this for me, seriously, I read it 4 times, i don't know what it means.

I was thinking it would be an awesome late night show, but not at the expense of Sacrificing other potential headliners.

no NW date.......... see Drew I told you we would get a bigger headliner than the Foo Fighters.
( of course I am just Joking, and it's probably a coincidence that the dates are so close to Sasquatch, but it's scary to Think this was one of the surprises AZ had in Mind.)

yeah with regards to finances as someone who used to work at booking somewhat large acts for my college it's not like every band has a price they will and won't do a show for, it's a lot more complicated and has a lot to do with the level of inconvenience the show would be for the performer. It would probably cost 50 or 60g to get rick ross to come in and do sasquatch but you would only have to pay him 5 or 10 to get him in a club in miami. Basically......because we don't know every bands touring schedule and their managers strategy for mapping out their tour we really have no way of telling what band is or isn't out of Sasquatch's price range even if you attempt to calculate their budget through the ticket price or through the size of band's previous venues. So what you are saying is because Foo Fighters are traveling and doing alot of festivals, their rate might be reduced, more than if they did a one off show. Allowing for the possibility of a larger headliner?

HG: I won't lie. Solid zing, even if you're wrong. Salamander: I appreciate the effort, but here are some things I find to be lame about your post: -A category called "NEVER GONNA GET." Sick of this attitude, sick of this sentiment. -A category featuring the words "too expensive." Sick of this attitude, sick of this sentiment. -Weezer is too expensive? Weezer is terrible, but setting that aside, would they really be such a difficult "get" for the festival? -It doesn't matter what you think about Bright Eyes -- whether you're a casual fan or an ardent fanboy like HG -- it's just not a realistic headlining spot. I'm not saying Bright Eyes couldn't appear at Sasquatch, or couldn't fit in, just that it would be a questionable choice to close out the weekend. I don't know, I think we should just start trying to use "demonstrable schedule conflicts" and "death of all members" as the only criteria for definitively ruling out a band. I have to side with I8. That is why I think there is still a bigger headliner than the Foos still to be announced. In previous years we have had big headliners, why not this year?

Daft punk would be less expensive but coachella or bonnaroo would throw them a bunch of money to be exclusive, and unless Adam zaks is blackmailing then with recent pictures of them with out the robotic head gear, we couldn't compete.

If it's anything like 2006, Foo=NIN. NIN and Beck were/are about the same draw and Ben Harper was/is(as A.Fire is) a cheaper headliner. I think it'll be 2 BH's(AFire;the Decemberists) and a Beck(Wilco;Coldplay) to come. Hahaha,I needed a laugh, And i don't know if you heard but Coldplay is one of the biggest bands in the world and probably a little bit bigger draw than wilco. Thanks gunther for correcting my math, it should be 90 Dollars.

Was it not 100 per vehicle, which if you average 4, in a vehicle, it would be $25 per ticket price, 285-25-170=95 dollars more. Than last year, keep in mind that alot of people stay at wild rose and hotels still have to pay that extra money.
I think gunther was mentioning it was starting at 3, we estimated on another thread that it would approx 17 bands, gunther thinks there are going to be more, i think you will see less, similar to the 2006 show which were eight bands, I can see about 12 bands.

The fact is that friday is not full day but sasquatch has raised the price as if it were, Last year, the had smaller headliners( my guess was to save money for this year)
2008 you had the cure, Rem, Flips Ufo,
You don't think they could do equally well this year,
There was such a dramatic raise in prices that, it lead me to believe that there is one band bigger than the Foo's. I think they could spend a million dollars for a band if they wanted.
And you think it would take a million dollars to get sound garden that is ridiculous, reunion or not,
Most likely your looking at a smaller monday act, like pheonix( who by the way are doing some festivals in February)
And 2 other solid headliners.
Arcade fire is not out of the question because they still play arenas, they are nor u2.
That leads to me to believe there is one more big headliner, like a pearl jam

And I agree with you about my theorized NW lineup being pretty shitty and devoid of variation, just trying to put some ideas out there. I think we can all agree, especially after last year, that Sasquatch is nothing if not unpredictable when it comes to headliners. For the record, my real guess for the headliners is something like Arcade Fire/Flaming Lips/Phoenix, but it changes all the time. It's really killing me how little we know. I do agree and we have been talking on this about the possibility of the headliners being as follows. Friday- Foo fighters Saturday- Arcade Fire sunday - Monday-Phoenix But I do not think Flips are going to be there. also i don't think Modest Mouse or DCFC are going to be there either. These are bands that have a Good relationship with Sasquatch and they can be booked almost any year. For the 10 th annivesary, it is going to be special. Also, when they first announced the Foo fighters, I thought to myself, that they are a big , well established band that could headline anywhere. So why would Sasquatch announce the biggest headliner in advance? I think there is going to be either bigger headliner than Foo fighters at the Festival. so if you think who realistically is bigger than than the foos and who is touring, we can come up with that big headliner. some possiblilities...... Pearl Jam- already discussed Soundgarden- not as big as the Foos, but have a Big Pacific Nw following. Radiohead- pipe dream , but one can hope. Neil Young- Muse- not a Fan, but they are huge. Gorillaz- would be a great get. beastie boys- I don't think so because the cancer thing. Depeche mode- not touring but would fit. RHCP - I don't see them at Sasquatch. Green Day- see RHCP Daft Punk- i think if they are playing anywhere it is at Coachella. I did not include bands like REM, the Cure , Bjork, NIN because the have already played here. any other ideas?

www.nme.com/news/the-strokes/54436 <------CLICK HERE ITS A LINK Saying the strokes will be there is a huge assumption but record release lines up. It's honest speculation. Foo Fighters + The Strokes = ABOVE AVERAGE HEADLINERS. I am not completely sold on the fact that the strokes are going to be there but they would make sense for a saturday headliner ( kol, MMJ- not overly big but with a strong following) They only thing is that with all the suggestions that we are getting on bands this is how they headliners would look like : Friday-Foo Fighters sat - Soundgarden sun - pearl jam monday - the strokes with Cake subheadlining. While that would be great if it was 1999, this is 2010.
