Updated Pulp as unlikely, and Belle and sebastian as sub headliner who may headline.
Very interesting on Belle & sebastian. they are playing Primavera, and were supposed to be playing Jun 3 In what looks to be Denmark, but that show has been cancelled due to "stuarts illness", and to be rescheduled at a latter date, but they are playing like 15 dates before that show.
so that looks to be highly suspicious.

Fine. Sub in Pulp, then, if there is a god. I'm on topic now, switch, you little bastard. Does that make everything A-OK? Pulp is at Primavera and then is scheduled June 11 at Isle of wright festival, I can't see them making a flight back and forth for one tour date, but who knows.

I am so happy about this thread. The thing I love, after music, is fashion. And books, but that's another board. I have been at Sasquatch every year since 2006. I have taken the easy way out and worn band t's and cargo capri pants for the most part. That being said, I have also worn some cute skirts and tanks. The problem with trying to be too cute is the weather. We've experienced hail, major winds (that shut down the mainstage) and "tarantula" downpours. Whatever you decide to wear for most of the afternoon is fine. Once the sun goes down it is COLD. Okay, I'm Canadian and I'm saying it gets cold. You know that is serious. You have to have jeans or other long pants, a windbreaker and a hoodie doesn't hurt either. The cutest outfit I ever saw at Sasquatch was a grrl in a sundress carrying a Japanese parasol. She looked so nice and I felt like a bit of an underachiever in my Elvis Costello t. (Though EC is always appropriate.) Grrls attend Sasquatch too. Don't let the petulant boys scare you from the boards!

Not a bad list but I think a few things are off: I don't think there is a chance in hell elbow would come close to subheadlining and the idea of them headlining is absurd. I think the only way DCFC or Modest Mouse headlines is if they both play and do kind of a double headliner hometown night (which might be kinda cool). I also think Daft Punk headlining is much more of a possibility than Pearl Jam or Soundgarden. Weezer played Bumbershoot this year, I don't think we've ever had same year crossover with headliners. and uh...Nine Inch Nails is retired so the odds of them coming are less than zero...If How to Destroy Angels tour they'd be a good bet though (obviously not to headline) DCFC and Modest mouse have both Subheadlined the Festival last time they were there, PNW bands, not out of the realm of possibility for one of them to be headlining on Monday. I don't believe any band that says they are retired, Plus I put NIN as Unlikely, what do you want? As for the shit storm that I received for Elbow, let me explain. They are touring this year, Have new album. Play large arena's in Europe. In fact the are playing 2 straight nights at London 02 arena- (There are not many bands in the world that could do that), Last two North American tours, have opened for Coldplay and U2, so they are starting to get a name in the US. Plus Sasquatch will bring in an act that headlines in Europe but is smaller in North america( Massive Attack). They may not headline but I have a Feeling they will be there.

I would say that Neil Young and Phoenix are both more likely than Weezer. Phoenix are touring, so I moved them to strong possibility. Neil young, although rumoured to be at coachella , has not announced any tour dates. I added Portishead as unlikely, and also Weezer( I added them as strong possibilities because they were touring but public sentiment is that they will not be there.)

THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED AS CONFIRMATIONS ARE MADE
This is what you have been waiting for, it's finally here.
Please post your thoughts on who will be headlining the festival. We have already discussed it at length on the Educated Suggestion thread.
If you have no life and want to read a 40 page thread go ahead, but it has been condensed here.
Keep it positive and as I8 pointed out don't just add names to make the lists longer, we are positive that the Smiths, David Bowie and Poison won't be there, so no need to add them.
I also did not include names that are probably a once in a lifetime get for Sasquatch- Bjork, REM, The Cure.
Confirmed.
Foo Fighters
Expected
Arcade Fire-http://concertful.com/concert/arcade-fire/
Strong Possibilities (Bands that are touring or are planning to tour this year)
The Strokes- They are touring with a new release this year. Pearl Jam-Celebrating they're 20th year, already said they will be on the road. Chemical Brothers- Will be in Florida and South America in March and April. The Flaming Lips- a possibility every year. Wilco- always Touring Phoenix-Have played every major festival, except Sasquatch. Pixies- They are in touring in Canada in May Pulp- there is a chance they might be on the Mythical Flight from Spain. Elvis Costello & the Imposters- Announced tour dates, no PNW Dates even though he lives in Vancouver.
Remote Possibilities( Bands that have not announced tour plans but we could see at Sasquatch)
Soundgarden-Chris Cornell playing solo tour until early May. Neil Young- Neil young at the gorge would be unforgettable. Depeche mode- I can't believe they did not appear at Sasquatch during their tour of the Universe.
Huge headliners- I
Radiohead- Believe!!! Daft Punk- Awesome. Kanye West- Not a Fan , but he is Huge, and played Sasquatch before. MUSE- They are one of the best live bands out there, like it or not.
Subheadliners that could headline
DCFC- always a Possibility. Modest Mouse-see DCFC Black keys- Starting to get big enough to possibly headline Monday.
Out of left field- Reunion acts , obscure or other acts that could be at Sasquatch.
Postal Service- if DCFC and Jenny and Johnny are going to be there, why not? Pet Shop Boys- Nice Retro Act. A Perfect circle- Touring , will be in North america during Sasquatch. Paul Simon- booked for the Look out festival. Peter Gabriel- seems to tour ever year
Unlikely- Not outside the realm of possibility but probably not.
Coldplay- U2 Jr. Can't see it. Ben Harper- Let's make a petition for No More Ben Harper. RHCP- Doesn't really fit with the Festival Beastie Boys- Cancer scare still ongoing Beck- Hasn't toured for a long time, no plans. Weezer- don't think this will happen ,but they are touring. Portishead- band said they are not in the US until the Fall KOL- In UK during Sasquatch, Whew. Sigur Ros- tweet from Jonsi - no touring plans
Oh God NO!!!!!- Self explanatory.
The Killers- Jack Johnson-
What other artists do you think fit in these categories?

I declined the entire list, as in, "no possibility." Could you maybe elaborate more on this? I atleast thought that A Perfect Circle would be in the realistic range. They would be a smart choice. Just saying. I'm also curious what everybody's supporting points are on why they think my list is shit. Saying that I am a troll is not a valid argument. HG, I can expect to hear from you on this, but atleast you might have some arguing points other than the typical "I don't like them" answer. Everybody thinks they are a music expert. Back it up. Is this your first Sasquatch? the reason why I ask is because those bands that you eluded too are not the Sasquatch VIBE, This festival caters too alot of the college radio/indie crowd pixies, pavement, REM , Beck, modest mouse, ween Now in the past the have had some big names but they are not really mainstream acts, NIN, bjork, the cure. all of these bands mentioned can survive without being on local Fm station. Bands like silverchair and Incubus, need main stream Radio to survive, you lose that indie feel to the festival that Adam Zacks tries hard to maintain. you can even make an arguement that Bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden don't fit in the Sasquatch vibe, but they are Pacific NW bands. so when KnowIDyuh says no to bands like that, it's because he has been going to the festival since 2006 ( if I am not Mistaken), is the administrator, and pretty much knows which acts will fly at this festival. the reason some people think that you are a troll is because you make these statements, (delibrately or not, i am giving you the benefit of the doubt), that people may take as to starting up arguments.

You can pretend , you can try, but you can't resist the pull of Conor oberst. You will be at the front of the crowd mesmerized by his lyrical genius.
