Just got out of Zero Dark Thirty. Meh. I mean it was good, but so was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and that didn't win best picture.
I don't even know who I'm rooting for anymore. I think of the nominees, the one with the most balls was Les Mis. The Master is the movie that I've thought of the most, and I probably enjoyed watching Moonrise Kingdom more than anything else this year. Those might be my top three.

Only, like, five teams have been underdogs at home in the NFC/ACF championship game since like 1970. It's crazy. Honestly I think Atlanta will win now - the underdog factor, home stadium, and a west coast team traveling east for the early game.

Did I miss a favorite songs thread this (past) year? I'm late to everything recently, because I haven't been able to listen to music at work. Aside from me being addicted to the new GYBE album, and thinking the stupidest album title of all time was actually really good (Put Your Back N 2 It), I've been digging on Father John Misty's album. He's got that smooth jazzy soft rock sound of the early 80s going on, more specifically, Hall and Oates. They were my Steely Dan, who would have been my Hall and Oates if I was six years older. My favorite song is "Nancy From Now On" which is obviously not on par with Hall and Oats lyrically, but it is the same sound. It's like a combination of "Sara Smile" and "I Can't Go For That." It's probably my second favorite song of the year, behind "Five Seconds." He's also J. Tillman and the former drummer for the Fleet Foxes, if you don't know, and you need a reason to hipster hate him. I Can't Go For That and Sara Smiles I meant to post the favorite songs thread a while ago. I made my list up to like 80 songs, then quit. Maybe this weekend.

People just italicize everything because they know something has to be italicized.
A major work is italicized, i.e. an album, book, collection, etc. A minor work is put in quotation marks, i.e. a song, story, poem, etc. An artist's name is made bold, size 35.55 font, red print, comic sans. That's MLA standard.

The Strokes are high on my wishlist. I just want to spaz out to "Take It or Leave It" so bad. Also a realistic headliner for Sasquatch, I think.
Bjork, Death Grips, Fuck Buttons...wet dreams. Bring it on.

Yeah I did too, really sweet deal. They charge you less if it's a power source issue, but with a cracked screen who knows.

Found someone else. Actually he found me and offered them for $100, and I said I have $47, and he said okay.
