If he had seen it but didn't write it down, he wouldn't remember that many names. If he wrote it down, he'd have more names. But it was believable.

It's for the best. This way, Gibbons will just dominate us all season long.

You could make a festival out of the bands I missed during Sasquatch 2010. So deep. EVEN TEGAN & SARA KICKED ASS

Yeah for damn sure only a doofus will be like I'm a Vampire Weekend FAN, man!, but only a similar doofus would opt out of a chance to see them perform. Fuckers are tighter than Steely Dan's asshole. i havent seen one nice post from you about a band like ever haha i am real curious what some of your top acts would be for Sasquatch, no matter how unrealistic, im talking your dream lineup, lets hear it Horned Gamma! Read the Meow Playing thread, and you'll know

Most roto leagues have limits on games played in my experience.
Pros: It's not just about counting games - some people in H2H for instance, where there are no limits, add and drop constantly in order to maximize their games played, and then they have a natural advantage in the quantity categories. I know wonk hates this style of play.
Cons: You get to the end of the season and can't start a LW because you've used up all your slots. But if you've been smart, this won't happen to you.
Up to you, Foxy, I'm down either way.

As much as I enjoyed Contra, I'm ambivalent to them playing Sasquatch. They're an act I'd like to see, but at the same time, if there's somebody else I even remotely enjoy playing at the same time, it would not be a difficult show for me to skip. You're crazy. I didn't really like Contra, but it would take something special for me to miss Vampire Weekend live. Those dudes put on a show.

I think of BtS like I think of Dinos Jr - nothing radical has changed about them, and they aren't capable of making a bad album, and every once in a while they'll make something fucking transcendent.

To me, Perfect from Now On and Keep it Like a Secret are top-tier albums, and everything else falls just below them. In Drew's five star iTunes rating system, those are both 4 1/2 star albums (I'm very selective about my five-star albums), and the others are between 3-4 stars.

About 100 pages into The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I haven't felt strongly about the world-building so far, but the character development is incredible, and the voice of the book is impressive. I liked this book a lot, but the second one disappointed me. What I like about Rothfuss is that he's melding old-school fantasy with the fairy story, and he's talented. But frankly, if you're not Susanna Clarke, you didn't write the best fairy story homage ever.
