I just really hate my job haha I hear you there. Just make your appearance and slip out. I call it the "Peter Morris". Used at many parties by my wife and me. Goodbyes are annoying, long and one of my pet peeves. That's pretty much the plan!

Off to my stupid work thing. Going to drink alone in a corner and then come back here to drink more alone in a darker corner. Oh man, this is depressing. You should drink alone in the middle of the room. That sounds more fun I just really hate my job haha

As much as I'd love Pea to be wrong, I have to agree. Assuming the top eight on the poster are Florence, The Cure, Disclosure, Major Lazer, Alabama Shakes, A$AP Rocky, Sufjan Stevens, and M83, then that's already a lot bigger than Sasquatch usually goes. And some of that mid/undercard is looking like Snacks went into full-on board appreciation mode.
I think we did this to ourselves by hyping up the possibility of LCD so much. At least we will all hopefully get another chance to see them. Maybe they'll even get their own gorge show.

Mine's coming in the mail, opening it is going to be emotional. I've made a point not to listen to it online because I knew the record was coming and I wanted to be able to sit down and enjoy it properly. When I get home tonight, I'm going to pour a glass of wine, smoke a bowl, then put it on and cry my eyes out. Then, hopefully I'll have my shit together before the launch party shit show starts. That sounds amazing. Don't worry, no one will have their shit together for the party. I streamed it so I won't have that luxury. If I had known this was going to happen though I would have waited until I had the record in my hands to listen.

Then I made the mistake of opening the Blackstar vinyl that came in the mail on my lunch break. It's so fucking beautiful. The art, lyrics, and photos are beautiful on their own, but in the context of today, it's absolutely heartbreaking. Mine's coming in the mail, opening it is going to be emotional.

Ditto. At one point I had "Life on Mars?" on repeat for over an hour. I just stared at my computer for like an hour this morning while listening to Low. I don't think I actually did a single thing in that time. I think I listened to that album three times in a row this morning actually.

Did you see what Eno wrote after hearing the news? Fucking heartbreaking. “His death came as acomplete surprise, as did nearly everything else about him. Over the last few years — with him living in New York and me in London — our connection was by email. We signed off with invented names: Some of his were Mr. Showbiz, Milton Keynes, Rhoda Borrocks and the Duke of Ear." Eno received an email from Bowie 7 days before he died, it ended with this sentence: 'Thank you for our good times, Brian. They will never rot.’ And it was signed ‘Dawn.’ I realize now he was saying goodbye.” www.nytimes.com/live/david-bowie-in-memoriam/brian-eno-i-realize-now-he-was-saying-goodbye/See, now I'm crying at work. Same here

I've learned some stuff about ordering and the headliners are Florence + The Machine, The Cure, Disclosure, and Major Lazer in that order. Followed by an undercard of Alabama Shakes, A$AP Rocky, Sufjan Stevens, and M83 in that order. Flo before The Cure? Nah, dawg I know it doesn't seem right, but information has good reason to believe that Florence will be the 1st name on the poster.
