Fiiiiiiig: Motherfucker. A) I thought the Built To Spill show was 2/1 not 1/31 and B) its fucking sold out cause I'm a dingus and just now tried to buy tix. Holla atcha boy fig if you know anybody selling one for face or at least close. I may or may not have grabbed an extra two for Built to Spill. OK I finally got this year's tickets, 9th year attending. what did I miss, any good inside news on bands that will be there? Really hoping for Built to Spill, Alt-J and at least 1 crazy ass DJ set!!! I have a very strong feeling (slash hope) that Built to Spill will be there this year. I've got no basis for this, except that they're releasing a new album soon and their February tour has lots of PNW venues but nothing in Seattle. [glow=red,2,300]Maybe Fig will ask them about Sasquatch at the Portland show, since he Martsched with them at Occupy Boise and shit.[/glow]

"So, I live in Eugene and was planning on driving all the way up to Seattle for a Ben Folds concert on February 4th, 2013. Now there's a concert happening on the 5th in Portland, because Ben thinks it's funny to do these sorts of things to me. So anyway, being a person who does not enjoy driving 6 hours on a Monday, I'd like to offer my 2 general admission tickets to the Seattle Showbox show on February 4. The face value is 39.50 and there's an 11.50 service charge for each, which honestly, I would like to make back. NOT out to make money, just not end up bleeding cash. Tickets are a transferable PDF, so this should be the easiest transaction in the world." Is this sketchy? I'm totally nervous about the PDF thing, and I guess I would have to send him money via paypall or a check in the mail... I like to think Ben Folds fan are pretty trustworthy and cool. And his explanation for wanting to sell the tickets/offering them for face value seems legit but I dunno.....

Veeery Tempting! But school will probably fuck me over on this one, yet again. Don't make the same mistake I did, get them tickets quick! It only took about a week to sell out the Showbox which is a pretty big venue.

Ben Folds Five is playing the Roseland first week of February. T'ain't sold out yet; here's hoping that's still the case at the beginning of next week. Ahh shit, they're playing Seattle 2/4 and it sold out LITERALLY hours before I made it to the box office, I was sooo sad. I was planning on biting the bullet and craigslisting it but Portland might actually end up being cheaper. Do you know what day of the week?

That's awesome fantastic news. I don't typically do the rush and wait at Roo unless it's someone I really, really want to see or I'm trying to get into a pit for a What stage show. Really looking forward to a more laid-back atmosphere at Sasquatch (and the scenery). In terms of the car line to enter the festival, it's a long line but not Coachella long, and from my understanding nothing like waiting for hours upon hours upon hours to enter Bonnaroo. I waited 7 hours in line to get into Roo '07. Others years I've waited between 4 and 5 hours. Last summer I actually only waited a half hour and I have no idea how that happened. I went to the Roo last Summer and was confused when people talked about how long the lines were, the longest I waited to get in was maybe an hour. Guess I got lucky. The wristbands look like they will be mailed out this year, so that is a dodged-bullet. It's really hit-or-miss about the line to enter Sasquatch but I've been to 9 Sasquatches and the longest I've ever waited to get into the festival is an hour and a half.

Organization is crap, true. However, in terms of moving from stage to stage Sasquatch is much easier than Bonnarroo, in my opinion. You don't have to watch the end of the previous set like a vulture and swoop in riot-style as they leave the stage, then wait 40 minutes for the band you want to see to come on. It is possible to arrive during a set and still be able to get a decent (not great, but decent) view of the stage.

I hate the Academy with a fiery passion and almost always disagree with the winners. But I will say that, for once, I agree with the majority of the nominations.

Wow! For the first time, maybe ever, I am actually kinda impressed by the academy and what they have nominated this year. However, if Quvenzhane Wallis doesn't win Best Actress I will cut them. movies.msn.com/academy-awards/nominees-list/

Thanks, Weenie! We really wanted to go but when we tried to get Victoria Clipper tickets we saw that it wasn't running this week. Bumma! Whenever we go to Victoria we use the San Juan ferry to Sydney. Then take a bus to Victoria. I know it is a little bit of a pain in the ass but it works Good tip! Burrito is gonna go to Portland to see his grandma instead, so no Bonobo for us this time.

Nadine, any word on Roo from Animal Collective's people? GabbyMcFrabby, I didn't specifically ask about Roo, sorry. I just wanted to keep it brief/inconspicuous. Talked about how I needed to know if I should start planning a trip to London if they weren't going to be at Sasquatch...

BTW, that Field Day Festival is only 45 Euros! So like, $70 something bucks. It's just a one-day fest but still, that's a bargain!

Field Day Festival in London is May 25th. A couple Sasquatch wish list artists Animal Collective and Four Tet are on the lineup. I suppose this could cancel them out being that it is so far away, but it could also mean they are doing festival shows around that time. www.fielddayfestivals.com/line-up/ Eek! This is exciting yet stressful! I love love love seeing Animal Collective, Four Tet, Daphni, Emeralds and Do Make Say Think all on the same festival bill. Like holy shit, that would make my fucking year. But I might cry if it means all of them won't be at Sasquatch. Crossing my fingers for a Monday night set... EDIT: Their agent says No Animal Collective at Sasquatch.
