Been Doing My Homework! (instead of my real homework)
The Residents- Mark of the Mole The Residents- Eskimo The Residents- Demons Dance Alone The Residents- Gingerbread Man The Residents- Animal Lover
So, none of these babies dissappoint. But, if I had to pick, I'd say Mark of the Mole, Demons Dance Alone and Animal Lover are my favorites- OH GOD YEAH. So, where do I go from here Granny?

The day I found out Dr. John was white blew my mind like the day I found out Boy George was a man. My 13 year old mind was completely blown when I found out Tracy Chapman was a woman. But the songs suddenly made more sense.

Heard from a reliable source that Built to Spill will be there... I have a very strong feeling (slash hope) that Built to Spill will be there this year. I've got no basis for this, except that they're releasing a new album soon and their February tour has lots of PNW venues but nothing in Seattle. BOOYAH. Also, I'm calling major bullshit on Zacks. You know he is at the very least curious to see how many bands we were able to identify before the line up was released. EDIT: ooh! ooh! Also, this was my 420th post.

Ya know what dude? The more I think about, the more perfect I think The Neville Bros would be for like a 5pm Sasquatch Main Stage set... in the same vein as that mid-day Sharon Jones set in 2011. Thanks for the tip on Dr. John too, I'll check it out.

I'd be down, I'm a huge sucker for Stevie Nicks. Same! But I forgot, they're playing the Tacoma Dome on May 20th, then heading off to Cali. I want to see Fleetwood Mac, I'll probably never have a chance to see them ever again. But do I want to spend $100, that is the question...

lineup.nojazzfest.com/Wouldn't mind if there were some Sasquatch overlap with any of the following: Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Hall and John Oates, Earth Wind & Fire, Aaron Neville, BB King, Willie Nelson.

My next phone is going to be the cheapest and most durable one that exists. No more expensive iPhones. F that shit. You can go to the Apple store and trade in your old one (no matter the condition) for a new one (same model) for $170. I have unfortunately become all too familiar with this process recently. I keep buying amphibian phones that simply have intrinsic desires beyond my control to heft themselves into whatever body of water they can find. This strikes me as something only Canadian Apple stores would do cause it's awesome and makes sense and stuff. Round here (Roooound Here!) I've heard of the recycle program where they determine a "fair market value" and give it to you on an Apple card.

www.soundcloud.com/four-tet/0181-1Four Tet dropped a "new" LP a few hours ago via soundcloud, entitled 0181. By "new" I mean it's a collection of unreleased tracks from 1997-2001 in the vein of his amazing breakthrough album: Pause. SASQUATCH NEEDS THESE SOUNDS GODDAMNIT. Fucking Field Day Fest taking all the coconuts.

I emailed Dan Snaith's agent asking if she could at least tell me if he was NOT planning on attending Sasquatch, since it looks pretty unlikely with Daphni being booked at Field Day Fest in London the same weekend. Rather than ignoring me or just saying no he won't be there... she said, " Sorry, Sasquatch lineup has not been announced yet." I realize I am probably reading into this way too much but it seems like most agents who take the time to respond to these kind of emails are usually willing to say 'No' if they know the band will not be at a particular festival... so I'll take her ambiguity as lingering hope for some Daphni at Sasquatch! And uh, so long as I am setting myself up for disappointment, wouldn't it be grand if Four Tet and Daphni traveled westward from London together since they're buddies and all... Yeah, so... Four Tet's peeps say No Sasquatch . And now I'm done emailing agents because being the bearer of bad news is the pits. boarder bulletins blows.

Dan as Daphni and Four Tet did a b2b set at Bestival and my friend won't shut up about it. That would truly be a dream shack on two punch. Schwing! Schwing! If that happens, I'll never shut up about it either.

So... if Animal Collective & Dan Deacon are going to be at Coachella, I think I am going to Coachella. If they aren't, I'm going to Treefort Fest. There, it's been said, no turning back now.
If it's going hiking, then I'm going hiking... are you coming hiking?

Hate when festivals are run this way though (Treefort Fest): "Regardless of what pass you have, the only way to guarantee you will see your favorite acts is to show up early! Treefort is all about seeing great bands in small venues. As a result, venues will fill up from time to time over the course of the festival. If a venue is full, we can't let you in until another fan leaves the venue (its a legal thing).
If you have a General Admission Pass you'll need to get in line outside the venue (if there is one) and wait until another fan leaves the venue. The door staff will admit passholders as others leave on a one-out, one-in basis.
If you have a VIP Pass you simply walk to the front of the line, show your VIP Pass, and wait until another fan leaves the venue. The door staff will admit VIP passholders in a priority position on a one-out, one-in basis.
We will have line attendants outside of every venue informing you of estimated wait times, waits (or lack thereof) at nearby venues, and escorting VIP passholders to the front of the line."

This is the email that triggered the email notification sound on my phone that woke me up forty-five minutes early today. In case you were wondering, they're not coming any further west than fucking Boise. So, uhh, who wants to go to Boise? Me! Ya dude let's go to Boise. Me and Burrito can make a detour to come get you and Storms. Maybe we can stay with GIBBONS and slay dragons if Fig comes with. EDIT: I don't see Boise on that list but maybe I'm blind. Do you know the date?

Just saw Lincoln. I thought it was good, not great. And call me crazy but I couldn't get over how similar DDL's Abe Lincoln voice was to Ben Stiller's Zoolander voice.
