Hey Andimac., I just thought of Gorillaz because of what I read on COS of a possible Tour, since most of the festivals have been announced, I just thought that if they are planning a tour in north America, it would start after Coachella and the would end around Bonnaroo, but since they are not at the Roo....
As per COS.......
Now if all this wasn’t a good enough reason to pick up the album, then perhaps this is: According to an article printed in the Belgium newspaper Le Soir (via Gorillaz-Unofficial), Plastic Beach will be the last Gorillaz album. Though that certainly sucks, the article does note that a tour (in addition to an upcoming Coachella appearance) looks to be in the works.

if you look at the history of Sasquatch when it has been 3 days the last 2 years, there is usually 2 Big headliners( acts that can headline anywhere) and one smaller headliner( acts that could headline at smaller festivals or subheadliners at bigger festivals.), so if we use that logic, that means pavement takes the flaming lips, ben harper and relentless seven spot on monday. I would guess, that the other 2 headliners would be big meaning acts like LCD, Faith No More, MMJ and Arcade fire would not headline( but might be in the line up).....
excluding the Super Headliners ( acts like Paul Mccartney, U2, Radiohead)
we can probably see acts like-
Gorillaz, Soundgarden, Depeche Mode, and yes, Jack Johnson, they would all Fit the Bill.
I just don't know what other big names would be touring, KOL, Janes addiction would not be a consideration because sasquatch wouldn't have headliners 2 years in a row.
There might be a chance to get something real different like, Peter Gabriel or Neil Young.
Peter Gabriel has some dates in may in north america. Plus he is releasing that covers album, and if acts like Vampire , hot chip and Arcade fire are there, all artists he has covered or worked with, that could provide some fun.
But that is a shot in the dark, because of the lack of info.
Based on history though, sasquatch has the pull to get 2 big headliners.
Any other names we could add to headliners that are touring right now?

For new posters, who want to talk but dont like the rules, go to the " useless rambling" thread. Someone started it as a joke, but we decided to use it and we are currently talking about , who we think the headliners are going to be, Arcade Fire, what 2010 albums were listening to, be free to add anything you want.

Andimac, in my opinion funeral was the best album of the 2000's,
I am now listening to Spoon( awesome album), Owen Pallet And Hidden Cameras( I know its 2009, but still Good).
I didn't like older Yeasayer, but the song Tightrope was the best song on the Day For Night Album, and I seem to like the newer stuff much better.

That's funny you say that about Arcade Fire. I felt the same way. To me Funeral was a really good album, but, it wasn't until I saw them live that I connected with the music. It was almost like you had too see them life to understand the music.
Music has always been important to me, you can take a 4 or 5 minute song and it can have a profound effect on your life, that why i don't like to criticize peoples taste in Music, because any song could mean something profound to any one.

Hey cast you may be right about, about the headliners , thinking back at the sasquatch festivals in the past, sasquatch does book 2 big headliners and when it has been a 3 day festival, the have been booking 2 big healiners and a smaller headliner for day 3 so if we assume the smaller headliner is pavement, than the other big headliners are, maybe Gorillaz and ?( who, assuming Arcade fire is a smaller headliner). plus that could lead to lcd or MMj subheadlining.

And I have posting on this message board for 3 years now and it used to be fun to just chat, it has lost alot because some posters are very anal that we stick on topic, even thought they can say whatever they want, but as soon you say something slightly off topic, these posters berate you , just a thought, I hope there are others that agree.

Even though this was a joke, i think i am going to use it. There really is no place else to guess who is going to be at the festival.
Possible headliners ( real possiblities)- Pavement( obvously), gorillaz, Faith no more, flaming lips, Lcd Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, MMJ
Headliners who i don't think will be there.- Pearl Jam( I just think the would never play sasquatch when they coyld make more money selling out the gorge by themselves.) Jack johnson.( it doesn't feel right). Beastie boys( they were supposed to be at all festivals last year , but because of cancer scare, the cancelled, they would probably play those festivals if they were tourung , but there is no mention of them) Sound garden( got back together too late)
Headliners that would just be cool to see at sasquatch-
Peter Gabriel, Neil Young.
What does everyone think, please feel free to add this list or talk about anything at all. I kind of feel we can make this thread anything we want it to be. Instead of being rigidly guided to stick to the topics of threads.

They are obvously having an issue with a headliner that they delayed the line up. My guess is that they wanted to add soundgarden but one of the other headliners probably didnt want to move from there headlining spot.

KOL was just named as a headliner @ the Rock WercHter festival in belgium. If you have ever seen the headliners for that festival, its a big deal.
So I guess We may be the only ones in the world who think KOL isn't headlining material, but I guess they are.

I agree scough, I was basing it on the supposed "TV" rumor, that is why I said Hypothetically.
Trust me I have seen enough of DCFC for a while.

I am in agreement with Dustin, I don't think much will be added ,
But hypothetcally , I think the schedule is not finalized and one of the bands we may think is on the main stage, might be closing out the wookie. So DCFC and shins might might fit in this way.
Friday - Shins on Friday Before KOL
Saturday- I think the line up is staying the same because I anitcipate NIN and Jane Addiction to both have full sets plus tvotr will probably be longer.
Sunday- DCFC headlining.
But I do speculate on this.........Is Ben harper only going to be play relentless 7 stuff or is he also playing innocent crimnals stuff? we answer that question and we'll know if they are adding a headliner. Sometimes artists who have a new project will only play there new stuff in concert. ( Conor Oberst an the mystic valley band for instance)
And I can't see him Headlining with limited material

Don't expect too many additions to the line up. You may get 1 or 2 main stage acts, but most of the acts to be added would be yeti and dance tent.
The " bigger" acts will be announced if they need a boost in ticket sales.

I get what you are saying, but when You are taking a road trip from Calgary for 10 hours each way, you kind of need a Draw to get you there. In 2006, it was easy. The only headliner we really liked was Beck , but the rest of the lineup was so stellar so we went and it was awesome, Didn't enjoy NIN ( not a fan) and Ben Harper (Hyperthermia was setting in). But the rest of lineup was one of the best of any festivals, that year, In 2007 even though, the mid level bands were pretty weak but the headliners were really good( counting Arcade Fire and Interpol.), so It was easy to go. Last year after hearing the Cure would be there and REM, MM, and the National were rumoured our decision was easy. But This year hearing it might be the same headliners as 2006, and with what appears to be weaker under card, I can understand the disappointment. So I am hoping the announcement will be better than every one expected. With what I see right now, I am not sure if it's worth the 20 hour drive in five days, which is a same, because I was hyped to be there again at sasquatch this year.

I am just hoping that it is a big joke, because to tell you the truth, Those bands don't do it for me. Kings of Leon is alright but I wouldn't spend money and see them in concert unless they are at a festival, the other 3 I don't really like at all. If these are the headliners , the rest of the lineup better be awesome or I will be skipping the festival for the first time in 4 years.

I am not buying, all the insider knowledge. Sasquatch said it was there most diverse lineup ever.
Pearl Jam-( Ten is being re-released, they probably won't tour until fall, so this is a one off show.) Bob Dylan-( festivals love old guys lately, mcartney and springsteen, and he is touring like a mad man.) MMJ- ( just a feeling)
Secondary- KOL Elvis costello( solo) yeah yeah yeah's
Just a guess

we have to remember, That although there have been a lot of repeat acts at sasquatch, There has not been a repeat headliner.
so maybe this year will continue the trend.
who knows, maybe we will get someone we never in a million years expected.
