Yeah that St. Vincent set was insane. Of course I'm happy with what I got but can't help but wish she brought the full band setup to the Moore in January. Oh well. Speaking of Couchella, David Byrne streams at 10:20 tonight. Resist the temptation and wait for Sasquatch or say fuck it and get pre-Byrned?

I think the most painful thing for me will be leaving The National early to try to get a better spot for .Paak. Heartwrenching just thinking about it, but I really want to be close for Anderson's set. Yeah that will definitely be a bummer. The National is one of my favorite bands but I've seen em plenty of times now and have never seen .Paak, and I feel like that set is gonna be one for the ages. But to get close for .Paak will probably mean missing The National's encore which will be the best part grrr

Gimme David Byrne, St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, Kamasi Washington, John Maus, and Talaboman. Keep the rest. Needs more Jungle. Just wanted to resurrect the discussion of this band because they killed it so hard at Showbox tonight. My buddy started lobbying me to join for this show a couple days ago and I remembered seeing some love towards them on this board, which helped sway me towards going, and I'm so glad I did. And as great as the Showbox always is, I couldn't help but think how amazing they would be outdoors at a fest after dark. Which addresses Prof. Pancake's criticism of them from the initial discussion. Anyway, I had never really heard of them before but was seriously impressed. Jungle subheadlining bigfoot 2019 is gonna melt y'all'z minds, calling it right now.

Is it safe to assume the third name on each day is the Bigfoot closer? Tyler, Explosions in the Sky, and Paak?

Hello all and happy Easter fools. I just found out that my cousin, who works for a major tour production company, is currently on tour with David Byrne. So if all goes well, I'll have backstage access at least on Byrne day. This is not an April fools joke, I'm 100% serious. What a Once In A Lifetime opportunity, am I right? Carry on.

Anybody talking about Barclay Crenshaw? Dunno if it's in tune with the tastes here, but def one of my favorite electronic artists right now. Really pushing boundaries of bass music and hip-hop. Saw him last year and was blown away. Sounds came out of the speakers that I had never heard before! Really glad Sasquatch booked him as an alternative electronic artist! (as compared to Jai Wolf, Snakehips, etc..) I figure he may be an early tent set (7pm?), so hopefully there's not any terrible overlapping FYI he's AKA Claude VonStroke - head man at Dirty Bird Records. Barclay Crenshaw is his real name. www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8_WoyrR7Is www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRqF9YWhe3EI can dig it. Sounds like a fun dance party in the tent. I'll have to swing by if there's no conflicts, thanks.

This and even more so with (Sandy) Alex G and Big Thief. I haven't seen any of them live but on record they are fantastic. Eh, honestly I find them all pretty unengaging and kind of boring. Big Thief being a bit of an exception, but I'm still not crazy about them. I can see this for Whitney, although they do have a few solid ear worm tracks. For Big Thief and Alex G, strongly disagree. Both of their albums from last year are full of beautiful songwriting and arrangements.

Anyone leaving from Portland on Friday morning with an extra seat? I will of course contribute gas money and will have minimal luggage because I have a crew leaving Thursday that will take most of my stuff. Also, if you happen to be attending the Bon Iver show on 5/24, I will buy you a drink. Who's ready for back to back BON BONZ?
Edit: Forgot to add, I will not be needing a ride back.

"Internet's busiest music nerd" doesn't care about actively trying to get tickets to highly coveted shows. I understand why a lot of people like his videos but I can't stand the guy, myself.

The second one might seem a bit lacking in energy, but if you think so, just listen to the album version. One of the best songs of last year in my opinion.

Looks like most people are putting Whitney in their "No" or "Unknown" list. Their 2016 album was one of the best of the year, you guys should really give it another listen. This and even more so with (Sandy) Alex G and Big Thief. I haven't seen any of them live but on record they are fantastic.

Bon Iver just announced a show the day before Sasquatch in Portland. Has there ever been a case of a headliner playing Portland around Sasquatch before? This is a bummer. I would 100% make the trip down and possibly up to Vancouver too if the dates didn't conflict with Sasquatch. Why hath thee forsaken me, Jesus Vernon??

Since no one has posted a Terrible Love video:
This song will melt your face off when they play it, and you'll probably be able to touch Matt to boot.

Just checked out Alex Lahey for the first time. This song has the makings of a fun a daytime beer/dance/rock out in the sun.
