I'm sorry but Florence and the Machine as the main headliner and Major Lazer as a headliner makes absolutely no fucking sense. Major Lazer closed out a night (underwhelmingly to most I talked to, I was at Gesaffelstein) a couple years ago. I could see Disclosure maybe, but even they don't seem like a bigger name than Flume. I feel like LCD has to be there or Snacks is going to be bummed out by sales. Gesaffelstein was infinitely better than Major Lazer. Walked over for the last couple songs and wished I had watched Gesaffelstein's last song. Also, skipping Deerhunter for ML because my group wanted to is one of my biggest Sasquatch regrets to this day. Diplo and co. literally just stand on their equipment, hit play, and do the same mix every show. But people eat it up I guess. Yeah, I saw the tail end of the set on my way out from Gesa after he finished with "Blue Monday." His whole set was great tho. Seeing a mixing professional who contorts stems with full songs and then walking up to "let's get these drunk frat and sorority couples on stage while they're on molly to twerk" and Diplo monologuing was fucking bizarre.

Disclosure has more mainstream appeal than Flume, as does Florence over LCD. Major Lazer apparently does too(!?) but seriously fuck those guys.

I need LCD Soundsystem to be on this lineup, but dancing to Caribou, Four Tet, Disclosure, Todd Terje is pretty fucking perfect.

Considering David Cross is doing a nationwide tour, I don't think it's entirely unlikely.

Also she unironically played T-Swift at a Boiler Room set and sooo many dudebros got pissed because they thought she was trolling even though SHE WROTE A SONG FOR RIHANNA. Favorite pop star. I wasn't mad, I was just disappointed. She played a bunch of pop music, including some Christmas music, and it was an Ibiza ENTER show in like July. I actually posted about it on here. I was like "hey guys, watch this, it's going to be really cool", then I was like "what the fuck dude". Edit: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/post/165114/threadIt was like a 13 year old girls ichunes playlist. Which if I remember correctly she was actually playing music from an iPod. -Plays Taylor Swift -Plays "All I Want for Christmas" -Plays "Blitzkrieg Bop" -Plays set from iTunes Ok, yeah fuck a Grimes. That's just shitty and disrespectful to say the least.

I left the pit for the outer pit to meet my friends for All My Friends. This is what confirmed what Sasquatch was for me in every way imaginable. They were my favorite band then they're my favorite band now.

The real question is if they can get DFA and Juan Maclean to close out a night in the dance tent with a b2b.

Is it bad that I don't want a new LCD album? Like I do... but I want them to play the hits. Their set needs to be 2 hours I guess.

I don't really see any chance that Deafheaven repeats. As much as I like them, they're pretty much just a novelty to non-metal festivals. But isn't that why we can kinda assume them as a strong possibility? They're the safe (albeit good) metal choice for indie fests nationwide.

I feel very confident on... -LCD Soundsystem -Disclosure -Foals -Chvrches -Deafheaven
desperately want... -2manyDJs (unlikely as all hell) -Savages (pretty good chance) -Matthew Dear -Nosaj Thing -Bob Moses (pretty good chance but Lightning in a Bottle could conflict) -Girlpool (does Zacks even book punk folk?)
would hate... a lot of those DJs

Have my doubts about Sasquatch getting Sufjan and looking at Ride at Sasquatch a couple years ago I doubt they'd want to come back.

Yeah if I could just get confirmation that I'll be dancing for an hour to James Murphy and Nancy Whang at the Gorge again that'd be great.
LCD Soundsystem + Jamie XX would be reason enough for me to go honestly...

I'd be really bummed if Pearl Jam wasn't going to play because I really would love to see the kind of dads that would be at that festival.

I think it makes him pretty damn likely. My only concern would be that he posted the last two years in a row. A three-peat is a rare beast. Off the top of my head I can't think of anyone else who played three years in a row. Macklemore, maybe. Either way, I think it's enough to add him to the rumors list anyway. Maybe I'll actually catch his set this year. He's been on the fringe of my list both times he played, but the schedule never worked out. That is what prevents me from thinking he'll be there. The only artists who have played Sasquatch three consecutive years are: Neko Case (2006-2008) and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (2011-2013). I don't know much about Shakey Graves - has his popularity grown significantly since last spring? I wonder if his rate is just too affordable to deny. Last year I saw him at several sets that I went to on the GA side rather than Talent or VIP. Maybe he just likes the 'Squatch and the Gorge enough to keep coming back?

For my money, the year with John Talabot, Matthew Dear, and The Presets in the dance tent was the best electronic offering Sasquatch has ever provided. You're right though, 2015 was pretty terrible. I was really pulling for Job Hopkins to be on that lineup as well. I have a feeling that with Paradiso selling out each year and continually expanding, we're going to see Sasquatch scale back the electronic music more and more. That's the beauty of previous years in the dance tent, I'd say every prior year rivaled each other. Talabot + Dear was phenomenal. James Murphy was unreal. A-Trak, Simian Mobile Disco and Boys Noize... I think they could easily book the Dance Tent with non-generic electronic music. Paradiso caters to the lowest common denominator of EDM. Julysquatch they were still able to book Dillon Francis, Big Gigantic, RL Grime and Tchami. All would absolutely be booked by Paradiso. The sound/vibe of Cashmere Cat, Slow Magic, etc. were just not my cup of tea. Also that Rustie set was pretty eh...
