Yeah I kind of just threw that out there Coren, I thought I read that Tool was going into the studio right away to record a new album but I might have read it wrong. That would be really cool, I've been dying for another Tool tour (fucking Everett? Really guys) - although not as bad as I have A Perfect Circle

Biff: I wouldn't bet on Tool at all, Puscifer is touring in the Spring (through early April) and while that doesn't entirely preclude Tool, I'd think that if a Maynard headed band were to play, that'd be the one.

Uhhh people procrastinate & I didn't get complaints last year. BTW - Pretty Lights was the other confirmation if you look at tour dates on his website ... But now it doesn't say sasquatch... Yet it did for a couple days. So I'm not aware how 'confirmed' it is now. How convenient that we get told when there's no longer the ability to confirm it ourselves.

Yeah I don't see Jane's Addiction coming back (thank god, I am so sick of Perry Ferrel).
And there's a great history of bands doing long shows at late hours at Bonaroo, which I think is awesome, I've heard great stories about Pearl Jam and the Flaming Lips - although that's neither here nor there.
I really hope the Pumpkins don't headline. I saw them on their last tour and they really felt like they were just going through the motions.

Phoenix is now playing both Bonnaroo and Coachella. They also have no shows scheduled for the days between Bonnaroo and Coachella. This would mean that they're going to come to the United States from Europe in April, maybe fly back or just cold chill for two months doing nothing, and then do Bonnaroo and leave for the next show in Germany in late June. That would be fun, their show last month was fucking great.

Jack Johnson is going to headline all 3 days, he has no shows booked for any of them.

While Pearl Jam can do well at the Gorge, they played two Key Arena shows recently, and to my knowledge, neither was sold out, and Key Arena is a far smaller venue than the Gorge can be.

since the old thread got removed i'm just going to say this once and let it go after this. It's not that Jack Johnson doesn't fit the style of Sasquatch, he absolutely does. He would fit in incredibly well and I'm sure the organizers would want to have him. That said, I don't see any motivation for him to do it. He routinely headlines much larger festivals and more importantly headlined the gorge on his own last summer. It really makes little sense for him to be at Sasquatch based on this information. Sure it's possible he will be there but I wouldn't consider it likely no matter how you look at it. If you look at other bands who have headlined, there are other bands who are capable of doing the same, if they haven't already. Nine Inch Nails seems to be a band of that caliber. And further, Pearl Jam is perpetually rumored as a Sasquatch band (for obvious reasons) but they've done the Gorge themselves at times.

I DID NO SUCH THING
(Ok, yes I did. However what that person said was that they weren't in the confirmed lineup, and that it was highly unlikely that they'd add a headliner at the last second. Everything I've heard re: Soundgarden since then says they're wrong in that regard).

And let's not forget that the main stage between-set music was constantly The Black Keys during either 08 or 09. It's time for The Black Keys. They're pretty great. I think they opened for STP two years ago at Bumbershoot - amazing set.

Based on...?
Everyone I've talked to about it says that something with Soundgarden is being worked on, but hasn't happened yet.
Pavement is 100 percent confirmed. I can't see them not being a headliner.

Rise Against just got added for Bonaroo (via their mailing list) but I'm thinking it's highly unlikely they'll hit Sasquatch too given the way the lineup is falling out.

Monday looks pretty underwhelming in the scope of things, unless there's additions.

Also, on the way home I heard another End jock mention a "reunion band" (most likely referring to Jane's) and an End Acoustic band. Now, who could that be? Tenacious D? That would kick ass. NIN, Jane's Addiction, The D! Very cool! I have no factual data on the D being a part of the 'squatch, just thinking. How many "acoustic bands" are there that 107.7 plays? It's gotta be Tenacious D. Reunion band is probably Jane's Addiction. End Accoustic band is Airborne Toxic Event, who The End loves so much despite playing only one very 90s song of theirs to death. It's a reference to Endfest Unplugged, which was also Bad Religion, PotUS, Everlast and a couple others. So they could theoretically get any of those, but it's almost surely Airborne Toxic Event. The third thing they mention is "Endie" Award winners - Kings of Leon and Santogold both did that.

Someone on the End just fucked up big time. Nine Inch Nails Jane's Addiction Kings of Leon Airborne Toxic Event Gaslight Anthem TV on the Radio Santogold That's all I could remember, I'm calling in now to see if I can get more. Can anyone explain what exactly happened with this supposed leak on The End? Was it one of the DJs who just started listing off bands he/she said will be at Sasquatch this year? It's their new weekend girl, Abby - she's been on air maybe 3 weeks after Loveline and just started weekends. She screwed up, or maybe they let her leak it, I don't know, but she basically said she was gonna give out some Sasquatch bands in 10 minutes, and did.

I haven't seen NIN in years, so I like that they're playing, and I'd love to see TV on the Radio and Gaslight Anthem (damn Riseagainst/Alkalinetrio tour not coming here).
Other than them, and Kings of Leon who I've already seen like 3 times in the last two years anyway, not inspired. But keep in mind this came from the End, so their propensity is going to announce what they see as the "biggest" names they play - so probably some really strong comedy and some great hip hop and local stuff is yet to come.

Thanks chief
Plus, it's not like I have anything to gain - the entire lineup is out Tuesday at the latest (maybe tomorrow), and I've only posted lately to put bands up (and KoL, my last one, confirmed)
