Yeah, I bought tickets for the $80 price thinking that only one headliner has been announced. Either way, for $80 getting MM, Holy Fuck, MSTRKRFT, DJ Spooky, De La Soul was pretty close to being worth it. They usually have lots of good late adds for this festival right? If there are even two bands that you like each day, its worth the $27 price per day. I'm thinking that with some good comedy adds and a few nice music adds its going to be worth it, and gives me another reason to head to Seattle for a weekend.
I am also hoping to make it to the Capital Hill Festival with Jesus Lizard and Sonic Youth Headlining.

Is the hypothetical line-up of 9 on sasquatch, 8 on wookie and 7 on yeti full now? I think that there is just one open spot, Monday on the Sasquatch stage.

Last night I had a dream that Franz Ferdinand were added as the headliner for Monday. Not sure that it counts as a rumour though hah. I'm down with that. They don't come to the states that much but I got to see them at Bonnaroo in 07. It was a good show but they were playing a bunch of new stuff that I am lots more familiar with now. They definitely had a feel good old school rocking live vibe that was fun to see. I don't know if they would be the headliner over Ben Harper but they would be above Badu probably and it would keep a lot of the indie/rocker heads to stay for Monday. If they add someone big for Monday they are going to have to bring more ticket sales.

Thanks for the updating. The schedule seems really fleshed out. It seems like it would be pretty close if not right on, if they use the same format as last year.
I agree on the adding somebody with some umph to the Monday main stage. I am still hoping for a Deerhoof add, but I dont know how many more tickets would sell. I said this before, not that it makes it any more likely, but with the Strokes and Interpol both working on new albums maybe they could take a studio break and try out some new material in a festival setting. Both acts would be big time ticket sellers. Unless, they pull out the Dead Weather, and bill it their first ever full live appearance. That would be pretty sweet and would sell some tickets.

March 27th, 2009 Even More To Love Some recent additions were made to the Sasquatch! lineup, and we want to make sure you’re totally, 100% “in the know”:
Saturday Champagne Champagne
Sunday Japandroids Mad Rad
Monday Heartless Bastards Other Lives
Stage schedules coming soon…keep your shirt on!
Does this mean that additions are done? When do you think that we get the schedule? If they do it more than a month early that would be the balls.

I wouldn't mind seeing some Jay Mohr. I just don't know how feasible it is to go to the comedy tent. Do you lose a bunch of time waiting in line or is it pretty easy to get in and out?

From the "it would be nice" arena, Soundgarden reunited minus Chris Cornell played three songs recently in Seattle. What a great addition for a Monday night Headliner and that would sell some tickets.

What about MGMT? And since Of Montreal is there, we could get a Blikk Fang appearance as well. That would be a pretty nice add that could boost ticket sales.

First time going to the Gorge, and I was wondering the quickest drive to get there from Portland. The festival website says to go I-84 east to Highway 97 north but that seems like that is if you want to stay on the highways. What about taking I-5 north to US 12 across? I realize that is going through some mountains but it seems to be more direct. Anyone have ideas on this? Also, the website says it takes 5 hours, is that an accurate number?
Thanks in advance from a first timer.

Deerhoof and Cornelius would be nice. Gnarls would be great. I think the Strokes and Interpol are working on new stuff. They would be pretty big adds. My dream addition would be a Pavement reunion but that's probably not going to happen. If they ever get back together it will probably be Coachella throwing big money at them.

I think the line-up overall is very good. I only have a few complaints. Why are NIN and Janes Addiction on the same day?? I say move NIN to Sunday and get rid of Ben Harper. Oh and i'll get rid of Erykah Badu too, while i'm at it. NIN and Janes are touring together so they pretty much have to play the same day. I think that Badu brings some needed R&B to add to the musical variety. Although, I will probably be sitting in the Dance tent listening to Tobacco. They definitely need to add some more firepower to Monday.

The Mos Def add is great and makes me hopeful that there will be some strong additions to the other days. It seems like Saturday's schedule is pretty full (minus a yeti band) but a couple of nice adds on Sunday and Monday will really round out the schedule. The fact that it looks like there are two open slots on the main stage for those days seems promising. I would love a Deerhoof add.
Whats the concensus on when the dance acts are going to be playing? I am thinking the first act will be playing at 9ish for about an hour and the "headliner" dance act will play from 10 to 11-11:30ish. I guess the other option would be after the main stage headliner is over, but that would cost extra for the security it seems, so I feel that is less likely.

Well, it looks like they are headlining Lollapalooza and ACL. I guess 2009 is the year for KOL. Caught me by surprise.
I am happy that they added Mos Def for Saturday. Not hating on KOL, just glad that there is a little more variety for Saturday.

Knowidyuh, adding Mos Def to close out the Wookie stage fills out your wookie line-up for Saturday by pushing everyone else down a spot. I think that your predicted line-up seems pretty spot on considering all the information that we have.

Nice. Thats a pretty big add. I am surprised that Mos Def is on the Wookie stage.
I would think that he would close that stage out, right? Adding more hip-hop is nice. Now we just need a couple more good adds to Monday to round out the line-up.

Thanks for putting all that together. Its crazy to see how low the headliners are rated but the undercard really makes the festival. And I can't wait to go to a festival that has only 22.000 people instead of 70,000 to 90.000 people.

Sweet. Thats a pretty solid add to the dance tent on Saturday. I bet alot of people are going to be crammed into the tent since they are going up against KOL.
I saw them in Amsterdam and they had a crazy strobe effect going on which was a little distracting. Hopefully they will have improved their light show since that was last year.
Thanks for the confirmation.
