Thats a stacked line-up.
I hope we get some cross overs like LCD, Spoon, Phoenix, Faith No More, MGMT, Thom, Them Crooked Vultures.
We already have Pavement, so thats a start. I'm actually scared that we wont get too many cross overs, because then we are going to basically be a mini Coachella without the headliners and I'm sure that Sasquatch wants to be its own festival.

Last year Sasquatch and Coachella shared: Yeah Yeah Yeahs TV on the Radio Murder City Devils Airborne Toxic Event M. Ward Silversun Pickups The Knux Calexico Fleet Foxes Gaslight Anthem Crystal Castles Not a lot, but a decent amount. Also Girl Talk and Blitzen Trapper. So that works out to 13 shared acts. I counted 79 total musical acts last year so thats 16.5% of the line-up that was shared last year.

How many cross over acts were there last year? I count nine, but I could be missing a couple. Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, being the biggest one. I would think that at least a couple subheadliners are cross overs. I'm hoping for LCD and Arcade Fire, but I would bet that Vampire Weekend is going to be playing both.

Yeah, I had a smaller soft cooler with frozen ice packs on its side that I could bring in. We put unopened bottles of water in the cooler and that was let in. If you are going to bring in beers, you are going to have to be more creative then just sticking them in a cooler.

While you are here, you might want to check out the music-related forum. Looks like we got flamed with some Hermes Handbags.

Yeah, that board is a tough read. I stopped checking it years ago due to all the inane bickering.
Although, I do look at it every once in a while. The make a music festival deal was pretty entertaining. And they broke the Sasquatch line-up last year a few hours before we got it over here.

I think that Phoenix should win, but Byrne will probably win. Which is fine, because I really liked that album too.

Spoon might be out now that they are playing two dates in Seattle in April.
Spoon 2010 Tour Dates: 04/09 - Seattle, WA @ Moore Theatre *^ 04/10 - Seattle, WA @ Moore Theatre *^ 04/11 - Vancouver, BC @ Orpheum Theatre *^
Also, Deerhunter is opening for them, so that might eliminate them as well.
That sucks, but I just got to see them about a month ago.

Neon Indian is confirmed according to their booking agency. So shamil, you got that going for you. Nice list by the way - Nightmares on Wax would be awesome.

Ya I do not think prices are up...but hopefully the camping will improve. I was put in contact with the person heading up the camping last/this year and let them know that the premier camping this past year was basically, well, crap. Mostly with the shower situation. He promised me it would be much better this year, so my fingers are crossed. Plus I scored two free permier camping sites for my feedback Nice score and good job on giving them feedback for the rest of us. The premium camping was not what was advertised. Additional showers are a must.

if its $100 for the weekend then that's the same as last year. If its per day then mathematics would suggest that its a 75% mark up. Your right. My bad. I was looking at it wrong. When you factor in parking into the overall ticket cost it gets pretty pricey. It would be awesome if parking was free like at Bonnaroo, but no such luck.

$100 for regular camping and $170 for premier camping. Thats a big jump in prices. Thats about a 70% to 75% increase. Pretty crazy, especially when you are only splitting a premier camping with your wife. I am just guessing but, I bet there are probably 1,000 to 1,500 premier spots and 5,000 to 7,500 regular camping spots. Thats an extra couple of hundred thousand in basically profit. This means a couple of things better happen.
1. More showers, more showers, more showers. 2. The free coffee that was supposed to be in premier camping last year, actually being there. 3. The line-up better stay stacked liked last year, with very solid undercards, top comedians, and bigger dance acts.
Anyways, I was a little dismayed when I saw the pricing just now, so more pressure to deliver Sasquatch. I know that you can pull it off.

So I was stuck at the SLC airport yesterday and needed to kill sometime. Here is my semi-realistic wishlist for Sasquatch 2010.
Saturday Sasquatch Stage Beastie Boys M.I.A MGMT The Roots Blackroc
Wookie Stage LCD Soundsystem Battles Black Lips Snowden Bliik Fang
Dance Tent Kid Koala Craze/Klever MixMasterMike
Sunday Sasquatch Stage Pixies Arcade Fire Broken Social Scene Tortoise The Slew
Wookie Stage STS9 The Thermals Ted Leo Atlas Sound Girls
Dance tent 2ManyDJs Diplo DJP
Monday Sasquatch Stage Pavement Faith No More Spoon Rodrigo Y Gabriella The Bad Plus
Wookie Stage Hot Chip Panda Bear MF Doom Caribou Menomena
Dance Tent Chromeo Yacht Deastro
Plus some local bands on the Yeti stage like Starfucker, Mt. Saint Helens Vietnam Band, Portland Cello project, The safe passage.
Of course if this was the line-up, I would have to clone myself twice to see everyone. Thats why if I get 15 to 20 bands that I like on the line-up I would be happy and probably be able to fill up my day with good music/comedy. Otherwise its overkill. Plus, I like it when I get turned on to new music that wasn't on my radar like last year with Santigold and Mt. Saint Helen's Vietnam Band.

Stolen from another board, not that its too original of a concept.
So here is where you will post your top 10 albums of the 2000s. If we get enough entries, I will comply a board wide consensus list. I'm pretty sure that I know what #1 is going to be because its pretty ubiquitous on all the lists I've seen.
I am still trying to figure out the order of my top ten, so I will be posting mine within a week. Get your list in by December 29th, and I will post the official Sasquatch Board list by the 31st.

Except premiere camping sucked balls last year. It was essentially normal camping with showers. So I'm actually planning for hotel this upcoming year. Premier wasn't as good as what they billed it to be, but it was definitely quieter than regular camping. Easier to get sleep which is helpful. Plus the bus that took you into the festival was nice. But they said there would be more showers and there were only 2 and they said there would be free coffee but there wasn't any, so that was a big let down. If they dont raise the price of premier camping (I think it was only $50ish more than regular) its probably worth it just to be able to get to sleep earlier.

Thanks for the update.
Probably just dates, but it would be great if they added a 4th day. Even just night shows on that Friday night would be awesome. A couple up and coming bands and maybe some djs on Friday night would be a great way to kick off the weekend.
I agree, it can't be a line-up already but they could give us a hint on one or two of the headliners. Get the speculation train rolling.

Its funny but the dude seems to have lost his edge or something. Although, he is right about the way Livenation handled things.
This was my first Sasquatch and I felt the crowd was as chill as any festival crowd that I have experienced. Definitely more chill than Lolla or Vegoose and probably the 2007 Bonnaroo crowd. Did you guys think that the crowd was alot worse this year as compared to other years? If so, was it because of the bands or just the commercialization of music festivals?
Anyways, I had a great time and I will go back if they get a good line-up next year (Flaming Lips and Beasties would be great).
