I'd add Deerhoof and Cornelius to the discussion. They just added tour dates................ 5-08 Mexico City, Mexico - Lunario 05-09 Guadalajara, Mexico - Festival De Mayo 05-12 San Francisco, California - The Fillmore 05-13 Santa Cruz, California - Rio Theater 05-14 Los Angeles, California - Mayan Theater 05-16 Pomona, California - The Glasshouse Why does this make them more than likely?? You realize that this means they're heading SOUTH, right? flying from Mexico into SFO, then heading down towards LA..... wouldn't be surprised if they continued touring in Austin, then headed north. Yes, they're from Seattle, yes they have tour dates in May, but it just doesn't really make sense. Holy overreaction! While you are probably right, it's still certainly worth discussing. by the way, i don't think either of those bands are from seattle...deerhoof is from SF and cornelius is from japan. I called Cornelius over a month ago, which doesn't prove that I have any insider information, just mad internet searching skillz. I want to see Deerhoof though. Choo-choo-choo-choo-choo.

I'm starting to think MBV is more and more likely. Though they are playing Primavera, they will probably headline the last day, which gives them lots of time to make a Sasquatch appearance. I still don't believe that guy though...

^^^ this is very true. Though I sometimes forget the Lips technically didn't headline in 2006. Now that I think about it, there's no way they'd have Ben Harper and NIN both headline again three years later. I'd say maybe one repeat headliner, but no way there are 2 repeats.

Bleh did anyone see TVOTR on SNL the other night? Dreadful performance. I absolutely love their last 3 records, but their live show doesn't quite live up to the albums. Seen them twice before, and they were pretty good both times, but not amazing.

You can at Sasquatch. Just not at Coachella or Pemberton.

I've been thinking about Ben Harper as a possibility too. I didn't post anything about it because I really hope it isn't true. I enjoyed him in '06, but once is enough. And he hasn't put out any decent music since then.
I'd say Ben Harper is more likely than Beastie Boys. Either way I'll probably be in the dance tent that night.

I always thought they put up the new website before the lineup was announced...

I'd be very surprised if the Beasties came back so soon. After all the hype and 2 sets back in '07 it seems too soon for a return in '09. I will never believe Radiohead will be there until I see it on that poster, but god I hope this is the year. While there is no evidence to support Pearl Jam, I could definitely see that happening. There was an article the other day in which Jeff Ament talked about their new material. A 1-2 punch of KOL and PJ would be orgasmic. consequenceofsound.net/2009/02/09/pearl-jams-elusive-ninth-studio-effort/

Checked out some of their songs on myspace. i'd definitely support a Mimicking Birds set. I'm surprised a band with such a limited following (53,000 views) snagged a spot opening for MM. They must be good.

Everyone has their own taste I suppose. I for one am absolutely loving those rumoured/confirmed bands (all except Neko Case).
I'm also very pleased with the comedy/dance tent decision. Very well done. Hope it's a bigger tent than last year though. I'll be very surprised if Girl Talk and Flosstradamus aren't there. Perhaps Steve Aoki, Drop The Lime, Felix Cartal, LA Riots as some other possibilities. Also remember reading that DJ Z-Trip, Adam Freeland, and Dave Seamen will all be touring around Sasquatch, so those are some other names to look for.
Oh and The Walkmen are opening for KOL so they will likely be there as well! The Walkmen put on one of the greatest live shows I've ever seen. You & Me was undoubtedly one of the finest albums of 2008.

So... - Kings of Leon - NIN - Elvis Costello - Jane's Addiction - Pearl Jam
Those are the most talked about names I've heard. Anyone else to add as realistic possibilities? (No not Coldplay or The Killers) Hopefully we'll know in a week or so. Can't wait for this lineup!

I think Portugal. The Man will probably be there. There's no Seattle date on their March tour, they are from the NW, they are playing Bonnaroo, and have been getting a lot of exposure lately. Anybody seen them live before?

Awesome. Guessing they'd be billed 3rd or 4th on Saturday. They'd be a decent "sunset" band, and they have a good mix of energetic pop songs, as well as some great folk ballads as well.

Glad to see the Decemberists will likely be back this year. They were great in 2006. Looking forward to hearing the new material.
I'd love to see the Constantines again this year, but I doubt they'll be there based on the current tour dates. Going to see them on April 30th though.
I absolutely would not support Blink 182 as a headliner. Sure they may be fun as a guilty pleasure, but I can't really see them putting on a good live show. They should probably just go back to headlining Warped Tour.

Can't remember all the beers available. There were 3 or 4 including Pabst Blue Ribbon, Coors, Molson Canadian.
I believe it cost $11 for domestic and $12 for imports (tall boy cans, which equal about 2 beers).
Kegs in the campground...I've never seen it, but I don't think they'd be cool with that. They say no "binge drinking devices" allowed, but I don't think that's strongly enforced.
Cameras are allowed unless they have a detachable lens.

I was wondering if anybody heard anything about Ray LaMontagne mabe being there this year. I think he would be perfect for sasquatch. Another band I would love to see there is Bedouin Soundclash!! Haven't heard anything, but I'd say that chances are pretty good. I believe he last played in '06? Not a big fan of the new album, but Trouble is one of my favourites. I doubt Bedouin will be there. Last I heard they were opening for No Doubt on their upcoming tour. Yuck.

Sorry for the double post, but I think this is appropriate here too...
New Kings of Leon dates: 04/19 - Boston, MA @ Agganis Arena 04/21 - Toronto, ON @ Air Canada Centre 04/22 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Palumbo 04/24 - Fairfax, VA @ Patriot Center 04/25 - Philadelphia, PA @ Spectrum 04/27 - Norfolk, VA @ Constant Convocation Center 04/28 - Raleigh, NC @ Koka Booth Amphitheatre 04/30 - Charlotte, NC @ Bojangles’ Coliseum 05/04 - St. Augustine, FL @ St. Augustine Amphitheatre 05/05 - Orlando, FL @ UCF Arena 05/07 - Miami, FL @ Bank United Center 05/08 - Tampa, FL @ Sundome 05/10 - Charleston, SC @ North Charleston Coliseum 05/12 - Cincinnati, OH @ National City Pavilion 05/13 - Cleveland, OH @ Tower City 05/19 - Phoenix, AZ @ Mesa Amphitheatre 05/21 - San Francisco, CA @ Bill Graham Civic Auditorium 06/15 - London, UK @ O2 Arena 06/16 - London, UK @ O2 Arena
I'd say they are a good bet for Saturday headliners. For those who don't think they are popular enough to headline in North America, please direct your eyes to some of the venues listed above.

Certainly solidifies the rumour that they will be there. Now the question is are they headliner material?

crystal antlers looks like a lock. did i miss anything regarding them? Crystal Antlers are playing Primavera Sound, which makes them less likely. They also play Seattle on April 22nd with Cold War Kids, which makes them very unlikely. How'd you figure they were a lock? I'd love to see em'.
