Daft Punk just leaked, for those of you who care. I'm buying the vinyl on release date as well, but I need to get me a listen to this asap.

That's true I suppose, I just didn't know whether or not the Gorge actually does tickets on will call. If they do, then there's no reason to not keep checking every day!

In the past 2 years I've probably gone to at least 15 shows for free due to contest winning. When I won tickets to Disclosure, I basically initiated a contest by myself. I saw the Portland Red Bull account tweet about the show (they sponsor lots of shows here), and I replied asking if they were going to do a contest. They replied and said "Yeah, maybe later today, keep an eye out!". Later that day, they posted a contest and I was the only person paying attention and easily won the tickets. Many venues also have email lists that they use to announce shows and stuff, and a good portion of them have ticket contests in every single email they send out. Reply to enough of those and you're almost guaranteed to win something eventually.

They only did it twice last week and it was a few days apart. If they do it again then I'd expect it in the next few days, since after that it will be too late to guarantee the wristbands will make it to people before the festival starts.

I've won tickets to so many events in the past few years just by being diligent with contests on facebook/twitter/email. Very few people actually do that type of thing so it's easy to win stuff if you stay on top of entering everything you can.
Speaking of which, I've entered many contests to win a pair of sasquatch passes. I know these are going to be more popular, but there were a few that flew totally under the radar and I wouldn't be at all surprised if I won a pair. All the drawings happen in the next week so here's hoping!

Superchunk announced for Musicfest NW. So far they are doing a great job on the lineup, I'm really looking forward to this year.

Now we get to take bets on whether Daft Punk will beat that or not! I'm guessing they either give it a 10 or a "low" score like an 8. It often feels like their scores are based on how much traffic the controversy will bring in when they give it an unexpected number.

Speaking of face value tickets, I've got to give a big shout out to joelweakland for meeting up with me today to sell that extra ticket he posted about! Everything worked out very nicely and I'm extremely glad to finally have my ticket secured. It's really happening people, Sasquatch is a go!

If you have all of these things, chances are you might not even need the wristband.

Portland is pretty damn great. Not only is there a sweet whiskeyfest, the organic beer fests they have here are off the chains. We won tickets to one last year and it was in this awesome spot right on the river with about 40 beers on tap to choose from. Doesn't get much better than that in my book.

And a green man body suit. That way you don't need any other clothes at all!

I will be camping with my 6 yr old and trying to sell heroin to everyone, so come find me, just follow the wailing from our crying child and find the sign that says "need a hero?".... I'll just listen for the guy yelling "HEROIN FOR SALE!! I'VE GOT HEROIN FOR SALE, RIGHT OVER HERE, COME AND GET IT WHILE IT'S HOT!"

I think NBC knows pretty damn well that this season had many mistakes. Every single time they posted anything about the show on the facebook page, hundreds of people would complain about how the show sucked this season. I think in order for them to continue they probably had some sort of planning to make that not happen.
Although, it is NBC, so their idea of fixing it will probably make it 10x worse and ruin it all.

Also, the season finale this week was pretty great. The darkest timeline got explored and the different versions of everyone were pretty funny. The season definitely ended on a strong note.

I'm glad the Chang stuff stopped near the end of the season. It was definitely way too much and not very funny. The episode where Abed and Troy was the best of the season by far in my opinion, it was the first time all season that I got consistent laughs and actually enjoyed the story.
And so yes, I agree, in theory I'm very happy they got renewed. This season was meh, but Jim Rash showed that the episodes he can write have the potential to live up to the old days. Hopefully next season learns from this season's mistakes, but that's wishful thinking.
