Primus are doing a Willy Wonka-esque promotion to go along with the title of their new album, where there will be 5 golden albums. If you find one, you get to see their shows free for life. That's fucking cool! The people that win them better run all the way home like in the movie.
Not to be nitpicky, but when updating posts like this, could you use spoiler tags for all of the videos/songs? I don't mean for the OP where you keep everything updated, just when you post new updates. Refreshing the page takes minutes for my computer to load because it has to load up every last one of those. Just my two cents on the topic. Thanks for keeping this updated though, it's a great resource!
It's wonderful. I'm an admittedly enormous SBTRKT fan, but I like this even more than I had expected. "Look Away" is essentially SBTRKT-ified Portishead and the other songs present so much variety in style. I love it!
I listened to it for the first time over the weekend while on a road trip back from Bend. The four people in my car didn't know what to expect and we were all totally blown away. I never would've thought 6 songs could constitute such a fantastic album!
It's been a LONG time, I guess I'll give an update!
Phantogram - Voices Chromeo - White Women FKA Twigs - LP1 Shabazz Palaces - Lese Majesty Eno And Hyde - High Life (you guys gotta listen to this album if you haven't, it's mesmerizing) Jungle - S/T Rustie - Green Language
The answer is definitely Flying Lotus. While fun, Girl Talk tours constantly, and FlyLo has a new album coming out soonish so it will probably be an amazing show full of great new tunes. Plus his stage setup is very cool.
Jacques Greene and Cashmere Cat outdoors tonight (if the rain stops) followed by the Fresh & Onlys at the Golden Age Club and Mission of Burma at the #1 Legion. Tomorrow I'll be for sure catching Blitzen Trapper, Neko Case, and Dan Deacon. Saturday is Touche Amore, Rocket from the Crypt, Spiritualized, and St. Vincent.
I love Sled Island.
That sounds like a great time. I've got WHAT THE FUCKING FESTIVAL this weekend and I'm very excited to catch Cashmere Cat among the many others playing there. I can't fucking wait to get home from Tampa so I can almost immediately leave for the festival.
Newbie gaper jong here! I was part of stackz crew and I think I met a bunch of you in a haze. I just wanted to say hi and thanks for being so nice, awesome, and letting me hang with your group. Also if anyone wants to come down and do some fishing on the lower columbia you are more than welcome just let me know!!! If any of you are going to High Sierra Music Festival let me know and we will hang out. Lastly, if any of you like to ski lets do it this winter!!!!!
Good to see you on the board dude! This is Adam, you probably remember me from the countless times I saw you throughout the weekend. Although I'm not going, I have heard High Sierra is a great festival, you should have a blast there. I'm definitely down to get some snow sports going this winter, I'll actually be able to afford it and I'm a big fan of snowboarding!
