Seriously. John C Reily better be doing some Sasquatch shit on stage during Tenacious D's set. This is making me wonder if Dave Grohl will be filling in as the drummer. John C. Reilly on drums would be wicked too though. I really hope the lineup takes advantage of its crossover potential. I was wondering about Grohl too, but figured that's just wishful thinking. I don't think he's ever played with them live. It would be fuckin grand, though...and Dave did seem to have a fuckin good time last year (lolbeers) so maybe he'd be down. If not, then I definitely hope Col. Sanders will be there.

2009 went Girl Talk -> EITS. It involved being really drunk, then sitting down and smoking lots of pot. It worked out pretty well. Mushrooms worked better. Jus' sayin'. This. Though if it's switched around, Explosions >> Girl Talk, E would probs be the best bet

Seriously. The pure thought of Santigold -> Girltalk -> Pretty Lights is making my legs hurt. Precisely. Unfortunate that what's sure to be one of the best performances of the festival (Explosions) seems to run up against it. But, The only reason I'd prefer a Loud Friday as opposed to an Electronic one is that the 25th is my birthday and there's a higher likelihood of bands that I enjoy playing the former than the latter. I'm still choked I missed seeing Explosions in the Sky as a birthday show in 2009. Somebody up there obviously listened so there's no way I'm passing that up. It'll be weird transitioning from them to something like Girl Talk but fuck it. I'm sure the drugs will help. Why the fuck did I think Girls was on the lineup already? Maybe because of Dum Dum Girls? Probably this. Unfortunate, because I've seen Dum Dum Girls before and they weren't too impressive. Pretty boring; decently schmexy. Hopefully they've bettered themselves in the music department since then.

Super dope. Friday's shaping up to be quite noice. Graffiti6 also got added to Sunday.
Still hoping for that Girls addition. I mean, they have no dates at all in the PNW...a London show on the Monday, and Primavera after that, but it makes sense.

Not enough loud/heavyish bands, methinks. Though i spose Squatch was never really about that to begin with.
Initially I was amazed, then underwhelmed, now satisfied with satisfaction growing. Some great names on there. Just wish that some of my hopefuls had made it on....

I remember getting trampled during DFA, and I remember singing to Foo as I wondered away from the mainstage. But there are a bunch of pics with me and switch and "faux geno" (switch's little bro) that I dont remember at all. My brother, myself, and some dude we met during the Bronx lol'd at the DFA "pit". That thing was just as I pictured it would be. The best part about it was that it was hardly a pit. I broke into the robot at least three times. Fun fun fun

How are you watching hockey and keeping up with this? I just read this right meow. I saw our goal and that's about it. It's literally right above my laptop screen but I can't even pay attention to it. Im not doing too bad, just missing penalties (three already?).....and while we're on the subject, fuck Lu is playing well

Yes. Your lead singer dead? Start a new band. I'm looking at you too Alice in Chains. Okay we are all getting carried away with this one. I was giving an unimpressed "burn". I'm just saying, both are really quite lame and for me at least are unwanted at the Gorge. There's varying arguments as to what bands should do when a member dies, and plenty of examples of who did a good job of dealing with it and who didnt, but at the end of the day Sublime w/Rome just sucks and that's that. But really, i dont even care, i just want to know! to quote Marley, "I WANNA KNOW I WANNA KNOW I WANNA KNOW NOW"

As questionable as the rumour is, I would not be disappointed with Pearl Jam. They do have an amazing live show and seeing them at the Gorge would be a real treat.

I'm expecting to feel satisfied but not overwhelmed with the lineup. That's my aim; it's safe. I've been cultivating that expectation for a while meow but last night I got this feeling that there's gonna be one headliner that's just batshit crazy awesome, like a Radiohead or something, but I think I'll just attribute that to pre-announcement jitters. You must be referring to Bjork. Nothing else matters. You're probably going to hate me for this but I've never listened to Bjork, except maybe in passing. Not for any reason, just never made the effort. If she turns out to be a headliner I'm gonna have some serious investigation to do. And I'm only gonna say this once because I'm risking alcoholic vehemence, but I've been boycotting Pabst since they lowered the percentage here in Canada. Most pointless alteration to a delicious drink since New Coke.
