Man...shit's looking like conflict city for old stingray. Schoolboy Q/Ab-Soul vs. Red Fang? Japandroids vs. Built to Spill? Tallest Man vs. El-p? Danny Brown vs. Ariel Pink? Death Grips vs. Imagine Dragons?
...ok the last one was a joke but seriously. If indeed this proposed schedule is accurate, here's hoping it gets messed around with. I'll concede that it does (save VW) mostly make sense though.

Done and done; thank goodness for the presale.
At the very least, I'd like to wild out with some of you fuckers during Grips.

Aye. Along with Tallest Man, it's good to see some of my favourite acts from 2010 come back. The thing about DP (The Dirty's? 'Jectors? I'm shit at shorthand) is that I really hated them when I first listened to them, but got slowly won over. Their reworking of Damaged got me hooked.

Torche (pronounced "torch") is a metal band out of Miami, Florida, headed by Steve Brooks, who previously fronted Floor. They are characterized by their unique blend of sludge/stoner metal with pop sensibilities. As Brooks says: "I think the meshing of different sounds comes naturally just because we all have different musical backgrounds yet have a ton of common interests." I saw these guys open for Corrosion of Conformity this past summer and was blown away. By far the best act of the night. Their ability to write and combine both crushing riffs and catchy melodies makes each of their songs instantly infectious. In this way they are a perfect fit for Sasquatch; "sunny day metal," if you will. Live they are on a whole 'nother level...I would count Brooks among the best guitarists currently active in the American metal scene. And these guys are funny as fuck and like to have a good time, and it's evident in their stage presence. Basically, get stoked: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LayXKzbhtfQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=bc4FeYfUjvA

I kind of just realized the only downside to this show: those flimsy, ill-fitting 3D glasses will make headbanging much more difficult. Definitely bringing the duct tape for this one.

Well, a definite yay from me. Pretty much exactly how I wanted it to look, haha. A lot easier on the eyes.

I'm still under 30 and I give massive shits about Primus, especially with additional dimensions. Although a late-night set would be the 1000 island in my jeans, I see the Bigfoot closing set as more likely. I don't understand why this is a bad thing because it will happen at 9:00 or 10:00 when the sun has set, and there will be far less looky-lous if it happens during a headliner. THANK you. I'm nineteen and Primus is still heavily relevant for any music fan with even the slightest interest in alternative rock/the bass guitar. At least in my experience. As far as the lineup goes, in comparison to last year, there are more names that immedietely stand out to me as acts I want to see. Which means that post-research they'll just be so many bands I want to see it's not even funny. Headliners are questionable, which everybody seems to agree with. Definitely safe bets, but I think one of Sasquatch's most consistent perks (especially in recent years) is its broad appeal, and I think they achieved that. Anyone who's seen a post from me knows that I've been carrying a torche (sorry, couldn't resist) for heavier acts and more hip hop this year, so in that respect I'm immensely pleased.

The one instance where you don't want the bass to be dropped.

Yeah, you make a good point about the 3D. As far as the YOLOs go, I'd expect Aoki to get the other late night to even things out a bit, although I'd rather it go to Grimes.

You have to imagine that the late night acts will be added late, right? Don't see anyone on the poster that could fill that slot ... That being said, HOLY SHIT THIS LINEUP IS AMAZING. BAAUER late night for sure Grimes maybe?
