It is like watching a picture without having consumed the eleven trailers/tv spots/radio spots and subsequently can sit and watch it with a fresh unbiased opinion.
I do not watch trailers or even know the cast/crew of films before I watch them either. I do not read the back of books or the inside jackets before reading them.
People should try being less prepared for certain things; they would be surprised how surprising things can be if they allowed surprise in their predictable lives.
On topic, I do not even know what is the next show I am going to. I will decide after looking at what is available today in two minutes. Don't know which film(s) we will watch today; will decide after I decide what show we are going to. Surprise is not just a town in the vast Arizona desert.

Pains of Being Pure at Heart are zeusawful live. Probably in recorded music as well, although I would not know. Portishead should add a Las Vegas date to facilitate U.S. travelers to see them, but they won't.

19OCT Shrine and 22OCT Greek will be added.
Travel is required for shows you really want to see unless you reside in NYC, London, or LA.

I do not listen to studio records/albums, but instead take in said material live in concert. Above is an abridged list of my top ten from 9Jan 11 to 9Jul 11, with the specific performance location listed if it was a single attendance, or [#] to denote the number of times I saw/heard their album(s) played live in the first half of 2011 and the specific performance that contributed to their inclusion on the list.

Friday was the day that year. And Bonnaroo can barely reach Coachella's ankles; the only thing he has even going for it are the collaborations, and maybe the one-offs (although those are rarer these days).

I read Obama's books before Obamamania, just because I read a lot.

I would go to anything other than The Antlers. NKOTBSB would be picked over The Antlers, but that is just me.
Additionally, I saw Cut Copy's set as well, and could not set it apart from the dozens of other unmemorable sets of that weekend. Baffles me that so many people proclaim that it single-handedly saved music.

I have not been to the most amount of Coachellas, as I was not living in the continental U.S. for many of them, but I have probably been to the most of anyone that posts here. It is just a fact. I am just saying.

He is playing for free at Pioneer Park in Mormonland. If there is nothing else better that Thursday, and I pair with a play in Cedar City, I might go and can give you anecdotal account if you would like.

I am usually there, therefore will probably be at the first weekend this year. And the second weekend. And the run-off.

Forty-five*
I still have not found the time to annotate which artists I saw at the last three festivals I attended. Lengthy process if one is engaging in split-sets.
