In my opinion, Explosions In The Sky are beyond extraordinary live. I have traveled great distances to see them perform, and have even cried on occasion during their sets (I realise that this detail may very well be exploited to mock me, but look at my AV).
The National are well worth whatever they damn well want to charge to be seen live (again, imo); and speaking of different prices in different markets: EITS played at Big Sur for 50$ or over 50$ in the last month. It is Big Sur though. Last time Radiohead played in the U.S., they auctioned off their tickets, as many of you may well know, as I believe it was 500$ per ticket with each attendee having to buy two tickets to be able to get tickets. 1000$ USD.
In a final note, on the topic of The Antlers that I was being given guidance on, after one listen to each of their records, I have decided to listen to them once again, because I must have missed something the times I have seen them perform.

You can't. Even. Recognize. Tom. Fucking. Cruise. One of the most recognizable faces on the fucking planet.Do you get a fucking lobotomy after every damn movie you see to help you forget the names, faces, personalities and careers of every actor in them to avoid actor recognition spoilers? What the fuck is wrong with you. Recognize that your approach to movie viewing is entirely unique. Because it makes no fucking sense. Not one single other person in the world does what you do, avoiding fucking trailers and 'cast spoilers' (SAY IT AGAIN: CAST SPOILERS. THAT IS NOT A REAL THING). Even if your method was intellectually sound -- which it is not by a damn sight -- you still wouldn't be able defend it as the only appropriate method because a century and a half of movie criticism flatly contradicts it. You are an idiot. You are a joke. You are a table. E

You must be a sad individual that you cannot permit others to casually converse about something without barreling in with one thousand and one insults without insomuch as an iota of provocation. I am going to go attend a few (according-to-the-Great-Horn) subpar shows now.

That is great. Is there truly a need for the insults?
It is true that I cannot see through a latex bald-cap, fake beard, and fat suit/fake hands. I also did not expect Tom Cruise to be working in such supporting role; he does have M.I. 4-8 to star in after all.

I am not going to argue what is the best method to watch a film, if knowing the entire plot (by way of a trailer) and entire cast (by way of constant conversing/hype) et cetera is right, or if the way that I do is right. Ask anyone who has walked into an auditorium not knowing what the fuck they are going to watch if they preferred that way or the way they are accustomed to by the corporations that in a way control everything they do. And right, this really looks like Tom Cruise: Please insult me some more for not recognising him. Keep it in context; I never stated, ever, that I did not know who Tom Cruise was. E

I never know who is involved with a picture until I see it, or in the case of advanced screenings, when the idiot hosting starts listing off the cast/crew like if anyone who wants to know would not already know. When I saw Tropic Thunder, I did not even know that Tom Cruise was the antagonist until I saw the end credits. I was equally really shocked by Robert Downey Jr.

You judged the remake on the trailer alone. Maybe you should watch it before determining its quality. True Grit is far better than its original titled work.

Do not be ridiculous. It is not a SPOILER if you have already watched the film. I watch each and every trailer of the films I see, AFTER I watch the film. Gives me some perspective on the marketing deployed.

Yep. I think will listen to them now -- their discography -- and I agree that nearly everyone has their particular setting which is ideal. I did see them at Lollapalooza, Budweiser state and the preceding night opening for The National, and I think it definitely made a difference (not to mention the first show was after having driven all day from D.C. to Chicago). Thanks for your input.

Can The Antlers be explained to me? I have only seen them twice, and perhaps that is the problem, but I just do not get what they are trying to do. Maybe I was tired both times I saw them; but I did not enjoy their performances at all. I might listen to their record(s) to see if I can remember what specifically I disliked about them. I believe I was hoping they would just be done soon throughout their sets.

Wonder no longer my friend; I have owned -- although I lent it to someone that never returned it -- the CC transfer of Straw Dogs for years. In fact, in the service, we had this little group that used to watch different movies together, and I think I chose it as my first one to show everyone, because I thought a certain part was so powerful ....
SPOILERS FOLLOW!:
SPOILERS It is the part involving what the man does, not what happens to the woman. Except what happens to the woman obviously takes part first, and one hundred percent of the women in the little club we had, and no it was not just one girl, had gone through what the protagonist had -- although obviously not in the way depicted in 'Straw Dogs'. I had kinda proverbially fucked the pooch on my inaugural choice. The entire idea was to choose pictures that no one else had seen in the group beside you, so it sorta represented you in a way. I think I picked 'On Golden Pond' next. I would have chosen 'Cocoon', but I thought some people had seen it on premium channels (Showtime?) growing up. To make the Straw Dogs thing worse, I was the only regular male to go to every screening; which makes me reflect that young women who join the U.S. armed services go through some shit in their lives before joining. SPOILERS
tl;dr.
END SPOILERS
People should watch the original.

I am going to see Fitz and the Tantrums tonight.
Anyone from Portland know Otis Heat? I do not mean personally, just wondering if the write-up posted on Cosmo was a true story.

You are a child. You have a long and great musical journey waiting for you. I wish you all the best and I will never talk to you again because you are just starting Music Kindergarten right now. There is nothing I could ever gain from you. I hate to quote -- find it like validating in a way -- but here it is since you cannot seem to control yourself from editing. I stand by my previous statements; all of them. Cheers. E

Yep; I have been to more shows than you and your entire family combined in the last one hundred days, but I am an infant. Truly. Thanks for the advice. Go back to listening to whatever you are listening to on iTunes, pal.

If I were a shitty artist, I would think what best represented me was heavily produced studio work. I am a shitty artist after all.
There is no hiding shittiness on stage. Actually, some people have backing tracks and so forth, they try to conceal their shitiness, but it still is not fully hidden. We can see it. Well, those of us that go to shows can see it.
