When the lineup came out, I knew nothing of Ween except that I've heard the name before and was a bit skeptical based on the shit that has been throw on this message board. But I got Chocolate and Cheese and they turned into one of the bands I'm most excited to see. Just based on that album, I can only imagine how seemingly drug-addled their live show will be. Beats the shit out of ending a festival with Ben Harper. I'm happy you gave them a chance. I know you will not be disappointed!

When I saw them in 2007, they played for 3 1/2 hours with no opening band, no encore break. Blew my mind. Listen to "12 Golden Country Greats" (even if there are only 10 songs on it ). Quebec is also amazing.

I made the thread so when they DO get announced people can post them here. Geez why are people so anal on here? If this is anything like the vibe at the concert is count me out. You're not all know it alls, get off your high horse. "end thread"? lol.. are you an admin? ya didn't think so. Take it easy, champ, you joined a big festival's board after DJ-ing at some small-time "what's it called again?" festival two years ago, and got off to a good start before screwing up by posting an unnecessarily duplicitous thread. Brush it off, let your thread fade into oblivion, and move on. Nah, let's keep it going and talk about how relevant that band from Issaquah is. NEVER gets old. Anyway, Dept. of Energy would be a fantastic addition to this decent (albeit spotty) lineup.

A handful of disappointments on this bill but this lineup definitely destroys Coachella and Bonnaroo this year, no questions. Coachella? You must be joking. Of course he is. No one in their right mind would type that.

Sounds like someone's a little butt-hurt the Pixies didn't show up. Go bite a pillow. So your job is to shit-talk Modest Mouse and Pixies but hype Ween? Get the fuck out. Yeah, perhaps you didn't seem to notice the thread title. I'm not going anywhere, Nick.

hahahah ween is going to be so awesome! not even the hugest ween fan but the hilarity of their show should please anyone. True, and their band didn't mysteriously lose all credibility and relevance when they added a guitar player from some Manchester band from the 80's...

If Vampire Weened were a headliner, I will have virtually no faith in Sasquatch ever again.

am i the only one who thinks explosions in the sky would be bad fucking ass as a headliner? Sure nobody knows them and they arent that big but shit theyre eons better than pavement they put on a damn good show last year Nobody knows them? Did you just learn of this band yesterday? Maybe you didn't seem to notice that #1) EiTS already played last year (which more people were watching than Ben Harper), and #2) They are not even remotely on tour. . . the only show that they have scheduled is the ATP show in September. Niiiice first post, bro.

They're really drawing straws with that lineup...I wouldn't drive 50 miles for it.

No one ever mentions Optimistic - which is definitely my favorite Radiohead song. I still remember the first time I heard it. I left the radio on one night when I fell asleep, and it came on around 3:00 am (a few weeks before Kid A was even out). I heard the intro and woke up, instantly knowing that something that beautiful and ethereal could ONLY be from Radiohead. I picked up my acoustic, de-tuned it to drop-D, and learned it as I listened. My 4th D-string broke while I was playing and I yelled out loud, "MOTHER-FUCKER!!!" I was so pissed. But right around 4 minutes and 20 seconds into the song, where the whole band breaks into the outro, still to this day whenever I hear it, I cannot be doing anything important (like operating machinery, etc.). It still yanks the hairs out of the back of my neck from goosepoops.
