I'm curious as to who the Biffy Clyro of this year will be...

Thanks for the info. It's nice that someone has stepped up to show others that Boise can be a viable tour stop from Seattle/Portland to Salt Lake and vice-versa. Often times, bands stay here on their off-day or just see it as another place to fill up on gas.

I don't care - as long as the Knitting Factory has nothing to do with the whole thing, I'm happy.

I'm told that multiple venues in the downtown Boise area will be involved.

Eric Gilbert, singer for Boise-area band Finn Riggins, is creating a festival in Boise, tailored for bands headed in a northwesterly direction after SXSW. The festival is slated for March 22nd-25th, 2012. treefortmusicfest.com/The first round of the lineup looks a little promising: of Montreal Built to Spill Why? Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside Monster Rally and Rumtum They're releasing the next round of artists on Monday, December 19th.

Saturday night: so all 6 people in my camp at Wildhorse are about to pack it in some time around 3:30am, and we see a bright orange light, in the shape of a vertical rectangle, slowly shoot across the sky. It took about a minute and a half total to go from one side of the field to the next. It looked to be about 200-300 feet off the ground. It made absolutely no noise.
So as we sit there, completely dumbfounded by the fact that no one had a fucking camera, here it comes again, this time about 300-400 feet off the ground, and a bit further off into the distance. Our neighbors next to us were still up so I called to them to look in the sky. They were under their canopy and didn't bother to get up out of their chairs to heed to their crazy neighbors. One of them said, "I'll have some of what you're smoking!" and then muttered something amongst themselves along the lines of "Hmph. Funny way to meet the neighbors." I looked up, saw it continue toward the opposite horizon, and it abruptly disappeared into thin air.
I know I wasn't imagining things. It was as clear as a bell that something was there. It was unidentified, and it was flying object. Never thought I'd see the day.

Hey wolfhat! My wife and I saw you skipping across the floor by the main stage during Iron and Wine's set, patting random people on the back with a big shit-eating grin. You ran off before I could introduce myself, though.

Poor guy's sound kept going out in the first ten minutes, and it was unbeknownst only to him, as it was still coming through his monitor. After he worked out all the kinks, it was fucking on. Insane show.

They were setting "world records" with the shower, such as "Most people under a shower", and "Most articles of clothing changed under a shower in 30 seconds" - interesting.

[posting from camp]
Flaming Lips was phenomenal, I just wish Wayne would do less talking and more rocking. They could have had more time to play more songs other than the Soft Bulletin. They brought out Adam Zacks (introduced as Luke Skywalker) and brought out a Sasquatch cake made from Ace of Cakes. They already wheeled out the damn thing before Foo Fighters on Friday. Adam mentioned that when he created the idea of Sasquatch, he had Wayne in mind as the inspiration for Sasquatch. No idea where he got that, but didn't let that get in the way of a good story.

I think I'm gonna pick one of these bad boys up this week. You can supposedly recharge a fully drained cell phone up to 20 times with it, and it only takes 4 D batteries. I've never had a bad Coleman product and it only costs $20 so why not! Awesome idea- I'll be sure to pick one up.

Mike Patton is the only bona fide experimental musician to ever show up at Sasquatch, and his set with Crudo was just a straight-forward traditional rock performance for the most part. I can respect that. He was my favorite artist that day, and easily in my top 3 that year.

Go easy on him. He thinks the Residents are relevant. I don't even know what to say about Trolly McTrollerson ^here, so I will just suggest we move on. Shall we? Welcome to the board ;D
