I work at a health food store. Apparently there is a large waiting list for potassium iodide in our vitamin department. Silly, paranoid Californian transplants.

11.23.03: A little bit more is coming to me from that drunken night seeing them at the Lux. I recall asking Isaac,
"Hayyy, what was that nice song with the drum machine at the beginning you played?"
Isaac: Um, that was 'Float On'.
"That was a nice song. That's gonna take you to the top!"
Isaac: Ummm, thanks?

Pavement fucking sucked last year. I don't even want to go over this again, but I will if necessary. Ha ha! Take that, Pitchfork!

Off-topic, but sort of still on topic: My only brush with Isaac was when MM played a 2-night run at the Neurolux in Boise. He was at the bar getting some drinks and some guy shoved a friend of mine, drawing Isaac's attention. He looked at me and said "That looked like that was on purpose." I'll never forget that lisp.

^ Thank you, I-8. I appreciate that.
I'm not knocking on MM, and I apologize for bringing up something that (I didn't realize) was apparently already discussed ad nauseam (the car commercial).
And I also apologize for calling you by that other name.

Nick, I figured you wouldn't be objective enough to even respond in an adult manner, so I'll just pretend you didn't write anything like I always do.

It means that the next logical step for Brock is to license his material to some kind of musical revue so that he can rest on his laurels for the rest of his life and never be required to write another good song. A little late for that. Perhaps not to a musical revue, but for a car commercial. The band licensed "Gravity Rides Everything" for a commercial for Nissan's Quest minivan, a move that Brock has publicly acknowledged as blatantly commercial but necessary to achieve financial stability. I'd embed the video, but I hardly know how to push the button to make the internet thing go. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAXdDz98R8E

I saw that post on the PJ forum, too. hmmmm. Yep that's me! This is the strangest dupe since Molly Hatchet ripped off Lynyrd Skynyrd. I've been had! And Stamper, yes, I did put that on the PJ message board and I am most certainly not in the band. Although I do think this Wildlife song is much better than anything Arcade Fire has ever put out.

[Sort of] Back on topic:
So I heard this b-side from Arcade Fire and I can't find the name of it anywhere! Someone put it on a mix cd for me, and even they don't know the name of it.
The opening lyrics go "I've been thinking, it's only a matter of time/before the sun and the stars all align..."
I need the name of this song: HELP!

Don't worry about it; I've actually been considering turning "God" into a for "WSS." DOUBLE WORD OMG Ah shit, did we just divide by zero? *edit* ...and what if we ignored ourselves??

Any word if this iPhone app will be updated to reflect the 2011 lineup? It still has all of the 2010 info.
Dammit, I'm "dunk".

The porta-potties at Wildhorse are changed out [or new ones unlocked] every two hours or so. I can't tell you how nice it is to utilize a fresh Honey Bucket.
Good God, I totally went there.
Also, I have the curse of being a wicked light sleeper, so I enjoy Wildhorse.

ANYTHING other than a Wilco coma to end the festival. I want Monday to go out with a bang, not a wimper. Sounds like how '09 ended with Ben Harper.

I dunno- maybe I would have appreciated AC's show more in '09 if they played at night.

The problem is, I'm not made of money, and with the tickets to all those concerts I'm struggling to be able to eat and pay rent right now. It's rather pathetic, I put shows before basic every day needs sometimes. Fuck it. Do it while you're at that age; you'll thank yourself later!
