I super like "Hometown Glory" off 19. I like biking to it and feeling like I'm on my way to the climax of a movie. I accidentally read this horribly wrong at first. There's a thread for that.

yeah, just checked livenation. No tickets found.
Last year I bought my tickets in January before the line-up announcement, and they were still pre-sale tickets. So they sold quicker this year, or they sold fewer tickets in the pre-sale (unlikely).

To be honest, sometimes I don't play just because I'm being lazy. It really does take some damn effort. Well fuck, I guess that settles it. This will be the first Zelda game since the one for the SNES that I don't end up playing. ...and please, no video game dork outrage over my lack of love for A Link to the Past. I've heard it all before. A link to the Past is oddly polarizing for some reason. Either you love it or you hate it. I've played about 50% of the Zelda games over the years, but since I don't own any current consoles except a DS (which isn't even current anymore), I don't really have many chances to play Zelda games. I generally enjoy them, with the exception of The Adventure of Link (or whatever the 2nd, side-scrolling one was called). I hated that one. Playing a not-so-new Final Fantasy game on the DS right now (Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light) and it's kind of interesting, but I'm not feeling nearly as drawn in as with other games like FF4, FF6, and FF7.

Yeah, didn't mean to offend any ladies. Although they're definitely in the minority, (I'd say about 10% based on my experiences so far), there are plenty of women who write software for a living. This is probably partly a reflection of the lack of women in science and engineering in general, not just this particular slice of it.
What I meant was more along the lines that it seemed odd to have a discussion about computer programming on a thread that isn't really meant for that.
Plus, it still feels strange to me that the Girly thread seems to have more male posters than female ones... Of course, I'm part of the problem here.

So, the fact that we're discussing computer programming on the girly thread seems, um, inappropriate or something.
So ladies... back to you.

You did indeed. You have an infinite loop there. (Disclaimer: I write software for a living) I thought it was obvious this only applied during sasquatch, but I suppose I could put if(sasquatch) then... But I did remember how if's work so I am fully aware my code is flawed. Thanks for not pointing that out. This code could apply to all of life though so technically an infinite loop works it you always have the option for sex. What you really wanted was: while(1) { do stuff... } not: while(1); which would just get stuck on that one line forever and not do any of the interesting stuff below it. If I get really bored perhaps I'll write a silly little web app along these lines. I already had a few ideas where it could do things based on your board username, like: if you had more than 3 posts on the orgy thread, .... if you're mase50, ... but I'm probably too lazy to actually ever do this, fun as it might be.

Can someone please start a "Dirty Sex at Sasquatch" thread so we can get mase50 back? We could just poop the orgy thread from last year.

But, as the weekend wears on the standards for cleanliness fall. OK so lets see, so far we have (lets see if I remember how C programming works): cleanliness = 0; tiredness = 0; drunkness = 0; while(1);if { beer then drunkness++ } if { hour then tiredness++; dirtyness++; } if { shower // yeah right then dirtyness = 0; } if { sleep then tiredness = 0; } if { drunkness > (tiredness + dirtyness) then sex = yes; else sex = no; } Yeah I clearly forgot how C programming works. You did indeed. You have an infinite loop there. (Disclaimer: I write software for a living)

I suspected this was the case, but wasn't sure whether it was gunther or someone else behind the magic. The giveaway for me was the blinking avatar - that seemed entirely like a setup to annoy HG. Which is why I more or less stayed out of the wonk conversations. It was too much fun to watch.

Do you really want to waste time discussing that "lineup", even as a joke?

I called for the lock and I stand by it. Yes it could have been fun, but honestly, that was a pretty terrible attempt at trolling.

If you're in doubt, two words: Michael Buble.
There's no way in hell he would ever appear at Sasquatch. I'm calling superfake.

I'll admit I did do some downloading in the late 90s (I also was a poor college student back then), but I've gone strictly purchased with my music since then, and I have the credit card statements to prove it (ahem). I'd estimate I've spent $3000 or so on recorded music in the last decade.
Of course, I make my living in an industry that depends on copyright, which changes my perception of things quite a bit. I would never pirate software (that's seriously bad karma for me), and likewise with music and other media. I don't watch TV and almost never watch movies, so the money I save on that I can put towards music and board games (my other vice).
It's all about picking and choosing; I personally think it's worth supporting the artists you enjoy, but I leave the methods up to the fans. If you like someone, attend their shows, buy their merch, or buy an album or two. You want them to keep making music and putting on shows, right?
