What are you talking about, that master post was hilarious. You're right, I thought Gibbons' post was hilarious.

Why are you even here? If you have nothing to contribute then by all means, don't. Your posts are bad and you should feel bad. This could just as easily be said right back at you, nick. I don't know if you think your razzing of the new guy is funny but it's really not, it just comes off as mean and has for quite some time. I know some people 'round here have had reputations for putting newbs through the ringer as a sort of hazing, but they were at least witty and entertaining barbs to read. This shtick just isn't working for you though; just look to that master post of all your recent "zingers" in the thread where we sling our barbs for proof. Time to move on, nick.

Daver was bored at work and standing up for free speech. Free speech does not mean only people you agree with get free speech. This so much.

Thanks for the reply, I have seen that chart, but I am still unclear of where the general admission actually is...as in, are the seats below the hill or on it? (It does lack an elevation chart, haha) General admission (the green area) = the hill. The area with the seats will be floor. I've never been to anything at the Gorge that wasn't Sasquatch so I can't say from experience if doing GA (aka the hill) is worth the money, but I know that at Sasquatch I like to watch most of my "must see" shows from what would be the back-middle of section 203, which is right in front of the soundbooth. Since you've been to Sasquatch, you should be able to know if you like to watch your "must see" shows from the hill or not and if you think that's worth doing this time.

Signed, sealed and delivered! Fantastic! I'm excited to see the track listings and/or artwork from everyone's mixes. A few of us are still hard at work on our mixes, so unfortunately these boardies will have to wait about another 2-3 weeks til they get theirs: Rusty blacksmile davers burrito Rest assured though, they are still coming and you haven't been forgotten! And thanks to those of you that were on top of letting me know about any delays.

I did my best ever on Oscar picks this year, got 21 out 24 correct! Fun show but kinda underwhelming. I liked Ellen's mingling in the audience, though she wasn't quite as funny as I was expecting for the intro. Overall, a decent year but no real memorable moments that will be brought up over the years to come.

My dog getting sprayed by a skunk at 11:30pm was exactly how I wanted to end my day. So thank you, Universe, for helping make that happen.

Two of my friends just recently moved and they both found their places on Craigslist, and their places are quite nice too. It just takes some effort. Keep at it, I'm sure you'll find the right place.

I want to get closer to the city, not further away. I was really hoping for a place downtown but my hopes seem quite dashed at the moment. What about the Marpole area? Rents there are miles cheaper than anywhere else in Vancouver proper.

I'm not really into HAIM because She definitely doesn't look like she could fit into daver's all-female super band that's for sure!

Commercial Drive area but a little more north closer to Hastings can still be decent price-wise and is closer to downtown.
I think Craigslist is still the go-to for Vancouver listings but there are a lot of scams and general shit to wade through. One good way (if you have the time) is to just go to a neighbourhood you're interested in and walk around looking for vacancy signs and copy down numbers; a lot of buildings only list on their own property management sites so unless you're specifically looking them up, you might never know they're renting.

Oh yeah, that's cool. Remember the deadline is pretty loose, it was just there to give everyone something to procrastinate towards.

Does anyone here watch the US version of Shameless? I did the stupid thing and watched the whole series over the last couple months so now I'm completely caught up and I have to wait each week for a new ep like some chump! This is torture, the last few weeks I'll find myself jonesing for the show every few days. (But don't spoil me on Sunday's ep, I haven't had a chance to watch it yet 'cause my mom insists on watching with me.)

Yeah, if I can't get these songs to work by Friday, I think I might just throw them all randomly together and call it a day.
At least I'm pretty happy with the cover. Spent about an hour on it today and it actually looks like the image from my head which is a rare feat.

Asleep by 1?? I'm not even back at camp by then; I'm pretty sure there's still music going on at that time.
Since it seems like you'll be pooping these easily accessible alternative chunes while I'm still in the venue, I'm fine with you spending your money on renting a generator. And I'll try not to be too loud when I come crashing back through the campground after 1, but I can't make promises for everyone else.

I think KY saw them and was not impressed. This is true. I believe I mentioned that I went to see Sex and the City 2 after and it was much better than the concert. Things might have changed; other people might have a differing opinion, James Mercer might no longer be the most boring performer ever, their set list might be longer than 45 minutes now that they have 2 albums, so I wouldn't say you should definitely skip them. I mean, if you really like them on record at least check it out for yourself with a plan b just in case.
