I think it adds to the theme of your CD that the pics are all upside down. Also, great cover art burrito!

I'm feeling the sadsquatch-shaped gap in my musical summer pretty hard right now and so am trying to find stuff to fill it up with. So far my list of potentials is looking like this: What The Festival: June 19-22 (they've said the lineup will be out "soon" on Mar. 25) Tall Tree Festival (local music fest, apparently really fun): June 27-29 talltreemusicfestival.com/2014/lineup/Pemberton: July 18-20 (lineup on Apr.7) CHBP: July 25-27 (lineup out "soon" on Mar. 27) Music Fest NW: Aug 16-17 and my fer-sures: Bumbershoot: Aug 30-Sept 1 (lineup on May 8) Rifflandia: Sept 11-14 With Music Fest's change to two days I think that's probably my most likely, but hey, I have these vacation days to play with now and who says I only have to do one?! Who's planning on doing what? What fun shit am I missing on this list? I'm pretty sure I'll be doing Rifflandia this year (I mean, I've already called your couch, weenie!), and with Julysquatch all gone I'm now on the fence for either Pemberton (definitely line-up dependant decision) or Bumbershoot. That Tall Tree Fest looks interesting and has a good price.

Pretty unlikely. Pemberton is a ~2.5 hour drive to the major airport in Vancouver with no traffic. There will be lots of traffic. I'm sure there are small or private airstrips nearby that could be used if the promoters flew them in on a private plane but that would require lots of extra money so it's probably still highly unlikely.

Got the email TWICE, makes me wonder if I'm gonna get my refund twice too? I only remember buying one set of tickets.
And some people might not know yet. The Tuesday after the announcement had been made one of the DJs on The Peak (local radio station) started saying she had breaking news about Sasquatch and I started to get all worried there was even more bad news but it turned out she had just found about the July cancellation.

Actually, until the item actually ships, they can cancel the order with UPS and refund the shipping charge. My company has a corporate account with UPS and I use it to print shipping labels all the time. At any time before the box is actually picked up, I can click "cancel this shipment" and it costs us nothing. There is no reason Ticketmaster can't do the same thing. This is my thinking too. I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be refunding the shipping charge for people who ordered July passes only. It's a bullshit move for them to keep it. I'm sure if you complained enough they would give it back but I'm sure that would take quite a bit of calling and effort and I'm pretty lazy so I probably would end up taking the loss.

What does age have to do with it? And I bought Country Life because I was 14 and I thought the cover art was hot. Pre mtv doncha know? It just kinda happens. I've been here for years and still don't have one. Others get one in the first week. I do not think this quote means what you think it means.

Woooo! Woke up to a CD in the mail! Pics of the cover art and track list coming soon. And Professor, I love both covers, I can see how it would've been hard to pick one.

That is going to be crazy busy!! I saw about a dozen posts on facebook today about it, plus how Imogen Heap was looking to borrow a keytar from anyone that had one in Vancouver. But if you make it in, I wanna hear how it was. Oh, I heard Neil Gaiman will be there too. I wonder what he plays?

I'm sure some people sneak alcohol in to the fest. I think I could handle just corn chips for the weekend though, that's my preference anyway.

Yea, I'd love to see some track lists and/or art posted. And I definitely wanna see how weenie interpreted her colour since that's the one I was secretly hoping to get.

It is a proboards thing so hopefully one of you will see it eventually and can weigh in here. Otherwise, I mostly see ads for Fairmont and Telus TV, which is very reflective of my boring browsing history.

Does anybody else think that the drawing on hot potato badge banner at the top looks like a ballsac and shaft on fire? No, just me? Okay, then...

Oh, I'm sure they still have some good sets in 'em, I'm just not a big enough fan to seek them out unless they're playing a festival I already happen to be going to, which probably really limits my chances on catching a good set.

Yup, that was the one. You missed a bogus setlist with absolutely no energy whatsoever. That was a horrible set. It was so bad I left about half-way through and then refused to watch them at Sasquatch 'cause I thought that would end up being a mess too, resulting in probably missing one of my last chances to catch a good set by them. It's weird to think we were all at that same set but didn't know each other yet.

The placement that really made me shake my head was Half Moon Run. I know they're from Montreal and I love them myself, but that is way too high up on that poster!
If plane tickets to Montreal weren't so expensive I'd be crashing on your couch in a heartbeat for this 'nater!

Just to clarify, Resurrection is the ABC show that started tonight and it is not based on the same material (even though the premise seems identical). They are currently adapting the French show right now but it's not even close to airing. That one is tentatively titled "They Came Back" which is the title of the book the French show is based on. Interesting. Kinda coincidental that Resurrection titled its pilot episode "The Returned" though (I figured it was a nod to the French series). Anyway, since it seems half the board is watching The Returned and all love it, I'm definitely gonna be checking it out asap. I need something good to fill the void now that I'm done season 2 of House of Cards.

Is that the same guy from the Shamwow that got arrested during a meth binge with a hooker or something?

Has anybody here watched The Returned (Les Revenants)? I think it's from France, but the Sundance channel had a season 1 marathon on today and holy shit. Beautifully shot, excellently written and acted, creepy and intriguing, just all around great stuff. I've only watched the first couple episodes so far, but luckily I had the forethought to record the whole marathon, so I know what I'll be doing for the next couple days. My mom keeps telling me this has to be our next show to watch, so I guess I'll be downloading it pretty soon. That new show Resurrection is the American remake of The Returned, I believe.
