So I'm currently sitting in a line in the campground that's a part of several other lines, been here for about a half hour after sitting outside the campground for an hour and a half. Apparently they haven't fixed the long waits to get in, at this point it'll be a worse wait than last year was.

Activity on the forum has taken a nosedive in the past couple hours, presumably because a lot of you are on your way already. I have about 3-4 hours until I can begin my journey back to the motherland and I'm sitting around with some serious butterflies in my stomach. Wishing everyone a safe and happy trip to the Gorge, and don't forget there's a DJ set at the Red Bull truck in the campground tonight from 11-2.

I can honestly say that I've listened to CHVRCHES far more than any other band in the past couple weeks. I'm not tired of their songs even after the 20th listen. Hopefully the lead singer will keep her nerves under control, she looks pretty spooked in all of the live videos of them I've watched. They kinda blew up out of nowhere and are all of a sudden playing to thousands of people so I'd imagine that's pretty mind blowing.

I have that same fear, which is why anything of value gets stored under my sweatshirt/blanket and I'd easily be able to tell if someone was trying to go through my shit because those are generally heavy items, and the weight difference on my back would be obvious if those items were disturbed. I'm pretty OCD about thinking people are trying to steal my shit while I'm distracted, and if it even remotely feels like someone's trying to unzip one of the compartments I'll move my shoulders around. Better to be paranoid than get stuff stolen.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs just announced a show at Marymoor Park on August 12th, knew there was little chance that they wouldn't be stopping through the area this year. Just wish they were at Sasquatch instead.

The only experience I had with the tent last year was for James Murphy, and it was so tightly packed that it was almost hard to breathe. I kept my backpack on my back since there was basically no room on the ground in any direction. I know folks at Sasquatch are some of the nicest people on earth, but I still don't trust people there enough to leave my stuff and expect to see it there when I return.

Trying to head out by 6pm so I can hopefully catch the start of the DJ set tonight. Haven't decided if I'm taking I-90 or US-2, I think it'll be a gametime decision based on traffic flow. US-2 would add almost an hour to my drive under ideal conditions, but if it looks like it'll take me at least an hour to even get to I-90 from my place in Lynnwood then US-2 it is. Anyone have experience with taking the Stevens Pass route instead of Snoqualmie?

They stopped letting people without tickets/wristbands into the campground a year or two ago because hundreds (if not thousands) of people would come to camp and not even attend the festival. They made the change when they started including general camping with the festival ticket.

I've barely packed anything but that's okay because I have a list of things to bring printed out that I'll knock out in around 15 minutes. Holy shit, this time tomorrow I should be at the Red Bull truck watching that Four Color Zack DJ set, provided there's no issues getting to the Gorge and there isn't a retarded line that's worse than years past.

The Primus poster is the one I'm looking forward to most. Sometimes if posters aren't displayed on sasquatchfestival.com you can google for them and I've found a few that way over the years, but it turns up nothing in this case. Primus has a unique poster for every show, and they usually post it on the day of show. Cool, so right in the middle of Sasquatch when no one has any internet huh? Haha..

Keep your geese up in Canada, they love to come down to Washington and take big shits on our grass.

In five years and counting I think I could count on one hand how many douchebags I've run into. Pretty sure this has at least something to do with the fact that there's a huge Canadian presence every year.

Thursday night typically has the largest lines of the weekend, I've waited an average of 2 hours the past three years on Silica Rd. just waiting to get into the campground. Friday morning probably wouldn't be too bad, since people that took Friday off will probably have already arrived, and those working Friday won't be there yet.

I was originally leaving immediately after the Postal Service but now I'm sticking around for Twin Shadow. One last hurrah in the campground seems like the perfect way to close down the festival.

It'll be super easy to find, in addition to being loud as shit there'll be a humongous group of people in the vicinity.

But if you're worried about the weather, then you picked the wrong place to stay. I absolutely loved that part of LCD's song back in 2010 because if I remember right it was kind of a gloomy day and was threatening to rain. I recall the crowd cheering at those lyrics.

Speaking of that jaggedy wood fence, my friend works for a company that designs the red bull booth and takes the pictures and all that. Apparently at the part after you make it back up the hill, you don't have to cross the road anymore, or wait for cars to go by. They dug a tunnel that goes under the road that you walk on. Pointless information! I'm too excited for Sasquatch to not blabber on about things. Haha that's awesome, I may have to skip out on the premier shuttle one of the mornings just to check that out.

Now that's why I'm happy I bought a premier pass and have access to a shuttle so I can get back to the campground faster. Gonna miss all of Youngblood Hawke though since Primus is on Sunday night from midnight to 1:30. It'll be a pretty cool last party on Monday night with Twin Shadow. This is awesome.
