I think they do a lot of big USC events like Paradiso. They specialize in side stage or on stage acrobatics and theatrics.

I'm thinking about a late summer festival, and Bumbershoot and Decibel are on my radar right now. Bumbershoot is going to have to have something pretty good, because I don't think I will settle for less than VIP at a festival that has so many capacity issues.

I'm a Verizon customer and I've gotten pretty good service at the Gorge the past few years. I haven't like sat down and tried to stream video or anything, but email, social media, etc works fine. I think I got 4G last summer. I'm pretty sure Verizon has the service at the Gorge locked up, and I always thought it was because they sponsor and advertize at many of the shows.

I get too chipped out to worry about that shit. All I need now is a slip with my info and I'll be golden. No need to constantly check pockets, carry cash, etc. Yeah, that makes sense. I was thinking it would be nice to just get rid of everything, and not worry about it. Theoretically you could forget about it until the next day if you wanted to. I have trust issues though, and I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my wallet or anything important in there. What if you lose your slip or whatever? I assume they still have your info. It looked like it said you get another wristband with the code on it. I was actually all the way to the paypal screen and said fuck it. Maybe if my friends want to share one I'll get one just in case.

I found out last summer that most of what I can get into a festival can fit into one of those cheap drawstring backpacks, so I decided to pass on the lockers. The only thing I ever worry about is sunglasses. I even tried buying cheap ones, and they can broken in a day. I already got around that by buying a hard case for sunglasses. I do worry about my little camera, but I think if I keep it in the case and wrap it in a shirt or something it'll be ok too.

I think I'll stick to coconut water and green smoothies this festival season. I try to avoid supplements anymore. It's always a good idea to pack a travel size hand sanitizer.

Yeah, I still watch Portlandia. I just thought I'd share this on the Sasquatch boards because of the Sasquatch artists involved.

Have you ever tried Austin Beerworks? I recently lived down there and tried it a few times. Their Extra Pale is really nice, especially on swelteringly hot Texas-style weather days. I was only down there for a week, but I got to try some decent local beer. I remember the Peacemaker Extra Pale Ale mainly from hanging out at the airport. The (512) Brewing Company Pecan Porter was probably the most notable of the beers I got to try down there. Another great one was the Live Oak HefeWeizen.

I definitely will not be using this board the internet anymore knowing that at some point the newbies will be shamed for their questions.

Paul McCartney at the Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula on August 5. Looks like $69.50-250 for tickets. Griz Tix always crashes when they have a show like this go on sale.

Too stoked for Parquet Courts They played this tune a lot on the radio station I was listening to while I was down in Austin a couple weeks ago. I didn't have a clue what it was until now. Sounds like checking these guys out would be a lot more fulfilling than seeing Cudi.

I don't think NIN will be playing Bumbershoot. They've been pretty unorthodox about their headliner bookings the past few years, and aren't really paying out for artists of that status and cost. Your logic saddens me. You don't think there will be bigger headliners now that they are going with the bigger main stage?

I had a dream that Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M., and Conor Oberst were announced as the Bumbershoot headliners. That's weird. NIN are playing everywhere in the U.S. except the PNW this Summer, so I am thinking they have some other plans for us, and Bumbershoot was my first guess. Bigger main stage too. Fingers crossed for NIN/Soundgarden at Bumbershoot.

I also have about a three hour hole between Chance the Rapper and Mogwai that I'm looking to fill. Right now I'm leaning toward Tourist -> Classixx, but I'm open to suggestions. Tourist -> Phantogram

First add:
Liars - Mess
It took me a while to give this album a proper listen, but now it's in constant rotation.

I keep forgetting MFNW is in August now. I wasn't expecting the lineup to come out so soon.

I got a shipping confirmation emailed to me today, and when I clicked on Track it told me it has already been delivered. Funny thing is I stopped by an hour before I had gotten the email.

Deafheaven is a wise decision. It'll probably go down as the most extreme set to ever take place at the Gorge. Makin history, yo. It will be great for sure. But I once saw Chthonic, Nile, Behemoth, and Lamb of God at the Gorge, so "most extreme ever" will be a tough title to claim. Most extreme at Sasquatch ever, definitely. Ozzfest at the Gorge. The good ol days.
