Please god, Amon Tobin. fairowen has been dropping maddening little hints on the Boarders Unite! Facebook page, and he said that Adam Snack's told him that the lineup this year has more Coachella crossover 'than ever before'. I'm hoping that means 'a lot of Coachella crossover'. And I hope that Amon Tobin is among that group. I can easily see him playing the slot Ratatat had. Fingers crossed.

I know I'm biased, being an EDM fan and all, but you have to admit that a DJ with an insane light show and a hill full of dancing people would be cool to see at least once at Sasquatch. You forgot the part where the music can't sound like nails on a chalkboard (i.e. deadmau5, skrillex)

I have no interest in paying to see a RHCP show sans Frusciante, but I'm far more inclined to see them at a festival. I have no doubt that they will bring it at the Gorge. If they get the same slot as the Foo's I will be even happier.
Santigold is touring with them so that makes her likely to be at the fest too.

Nope. Nope nope nope. Girl Talk is like taking too much ritalin and channel surfing with a schizophrenic child molester. Bassnectar fucking sampled Disney's Dumbo. There is a clearly defined winner in this case. I've only seen Girl Talk once and it was exactly what it was meant to be: an insanely awesome party. I don't expect anything less for a late night set. I've attended a few Bassnectar shows in the past and had amazing times, his Sasquatch set was by far the worst performance I've seen of him. While he was sampling dumbo I was busy trying to hear what was coming out of the speakers. Glowpocalypse aside, that set bored me to tears.

I hope they don't waste a late set slot on Girl Talk. The only time I have bothered to listen to his stuff it sounded like it was all unoriginal mashups without anything extra that set it apart from any other dj. Have you not attended any of his live sets? Having a wild party as a late night set makes a lot of sense.

I worked on a music video for a Philly band, The War on Drugs, a few weeks ago. After the shoot I asked them if they'd be playing any festivals next year. The guitarist replied with Sasquatch.

and then the fucking Nirvana remix! One of the few saving graces for his set. I'm still bitter about how quiet his music was...

Oh and once again, FUCK THE YETI STAGE! Something about this statement really bothers me. Every time I saw a band performing on it, the stage was riddled with sound problems. Bands were spending a decent chunk of their set trying to get their equipment running again. Cramming the stage in the corner of food court made for a pretty awkward viewing, especially with crowded sets (Foster the People). Way too much sound bleed from the Bigfoot and mainstage too. I'd be happy if the festival only used the Amphitheater, bigfoot, and a better dance tent.

I got about a quarter's worth of bud taken from me and my friend by two fat beverage enforcement bitches right before K-OS' set. I had just enough time to grab the rest of my goodies before they made us empty our bags on site. Total buzzkill. Glad they didn't kick us out though. I watched them sifting through the nugs as they were walking away. They only could have confiscated it to smoke it themselves.. Luckily, a woman and her husband sitting next to us watched the whole thing go down and they gave my friend and I each a handful of weed ;D May karma rain down on those beverage enforcement shitheads.

can't wait to see him at a good performance... If that was the first time you saw him, then yes, you should be very excited to see a GOOD Bassnectar performance.

I was incredibly stoked for Washed Out, stoked enough to skip out on Iron & Wine for them. I blame the poor sound and them being booked in the dance tent for their boring set. Luckily I completely forgot about how mediocre Washed Out was when the Glitch Mob completely tore up the banana shack afterward. I don't get the Death Cab hate, they performed a fantastic set. I wish I had worn the proper attire though. Flip flops, shirt, and shorts in 40 degree weather made focusing on their music a bit difficult. Should have stayed in the tent for Sleigh Bells... Biggest disappointment of the weekend: Bassnectar It was my fifth time seeing Lorin perform and also the most underwhelming. The glowruption was glow-tacular, but the music wasn't. I know he had sound issues that probably weren't his fault but his music wasn't loud enough. Couldn't even feel the bass... His set at outside lands last year was booked at 2 pm, had a 15 minute power-outage, and was still leagues better than his sasquatch performance.

This is one of the smaller acts I'm really looking forward too. Here's hoping to being awake in time for his set. I'll at least have my French press with me to ease the exhaustion I'm sure to feel from the aftermath of Sunday evening

They basically just enter the stage from her digital vag. Hence their band name.

Eat a large breakfast. Yerba Mate/Coffee. Too much sugar will make you feel great but you'll crash and burn an hour later. Emergen-C. Stay hydrated. Trail mix/power bars. Comfortable shoes.

That would be derpstep and "chillwave", respectively. I am now proud to know that people outside my circle of friends use the term "derpstep". I agree that chillwave is a lame name for a genre.

I use that term when I can't really fit an artist into a particular genre.
