- When I'm doing a road trip, hiking, etc. the DSLR gets used all the time. - For events like rodeos, festivals, etc. I'd rather not bother with it and settle for a point and shoot. I've done events with a DSLR before, and for me at least it changes my enjoyment of the event, so I no longer do it as a rule. Your mileage may vary. Good point. The DSLR is probably better suited for a hillside set like Bon Iver. I'll need to get myself a flip minicam for Pretty Lights

I could have worded that better... What I meant by 'worth it' was if carrying a bulky and delicate device around all day would be troublesome. If protecting it simply entails some padding in backpack, then it sounds worth it to me.

How about multiple video takers? This event is worth more than one angle of coverage! I volunteer! ;D
I've never brought my DSLR into a festival setting. To anyone that's done it before (sasquatch specifically), is it worth it?

Except the fact that Pretty Lights is good and well lets just say girl talk isn't That is no fact. They both produce excellent sample-based dance music; yet, with each their own unique styles. Go to either show and you are guaranteed a good time.

And every Dave Grohl band is a band of bands if your band is a Dave Grohl Band.

Original (With no order):
Bon Iver Mogwai Pretty Lights Metric Beardyman Tycho Kurt Vile The War on Drugs Jack White
Updated (In order! With explanations too!):
1) Jack White - It's The White Stripes, with a band instead of Meg. Not a chance I will miss any of his show 2) Silversun Pickups - An Alt. rock band I heavily overlooked until seeing them on the lineup. 3) Pretty Lights - Can't wait to see what he has in store for us with a headlining slot 4) Metric - This band is catchy as hell 5) Bon Iver - They will be an amazing set to relax too on sunday evening 6) Beardyman - It will be bonkers. 7) Gary Clarke Jr. - He pretty much makes up for the absence of The Black Keys 8) Mogwai - They will layer progressive melodies upon each other in such a fashion that minds will be blown. FACT. 9)Shabazz Palaces/The Roots (if late night) - I need my hip hop fix. These folks will suffice plenty. 10) Feed Me - An artist that fits the time slot he'll be playing perfectly.

Dave Grohl is officially filling in on drums for the album. I still have a glimmer of hope that he'll make an appearance for the D's set.

I simply cannot put into words just how excited I am for this. Word, I've seen him twice (once live and DJ set for the other). That was back when he had the drummer accompany him. I haven't seen any shows of his since 2010. Based on recent videos of his concerts, his light setup has really received an overhaul. I can't wait for the party he will bring to the Gorge. I'm also particularly excited because the date he plays will be the first day that I can legally consume alcohol.

Listening to a podcast of comedy death ray (before it was bang bang) while I was making the trek up to the Gorge from Santa Cruz, CA nearly put me to sleep at the wheel. Thankfully that was not the case, because it would have greatly reduced my chances of attending Sasquatch last year.

Hey, wait, the Maine Stage isn't on that thing! Because it does not matter.

As someone who had next to zero excitement for Feed Me, those videos have me stoked. This will be a fun set to derp around to.

It would also be a DJ set because Beck would shortly find out that there are no instruments on the Maine Stage

Last year the day by day schedule was released alongside the lineup. They must have decided to just tease us more this year.

Last year my group and I were among the last people to leave the campgrounds on tuesday. This is what it looked like: Next year I'm going to deliberately leave space in my car so I can loot some decent stuff. I remember seeing full tents, camping chairs, and grills that were left behind.

My gut is telling me that Explosions in the Sky and Pretty Lights will conflict. It would make sense too, as they can cater to distinct crowds. I really hope the fest can pull some strings and give EITS a late night set. A fairly EDM dominant day being finished off with orchestral, wall of sound music. I'd be down.
