Blood Mountain was savage. Its unfortunate that the only time I saw them live (opening for Dethklok) they decided to play their current album (Crack The Skye) in its entirety followed by only one song from each of their past albums. I really wanted to hear that first track from Blood Mountain!

This is actually a little confusing. The ticketmaster link Peatrick has provided says "On Sale: Monday 2/14/11" yet if you click on "more info" it states the tickets go onsale Saturday Feb 12 at 1pm. What to believe? Also, whats the info on Camera restrictions? Nothing with a pro scope I take it. I know digital cameras have been allowed at the Gorge in the past.

We did Black Swan last night. I got out of it exactly what I expected to get out of it; I thought it was great. Beautifully shot, and it is right at home in Aronofsky's filmography. Everyone was incredible in it; Natalie Portman WILL get an Oscar for it. The mother was so much like Ellen Burstyn's character in 'Requiem for a Dream' that I'm starting to think that that is probably what Aronofsky's mother is really like. Creepy. Thanks for the review. I have been hearing so much positive feedback about this movie. Will definitely check it out, thanks again.

There is a Foo Fighter thread for this. This is a HEADLINER thread. I'm talking about Foo Fighters. They are a HEADLINER. Why the hell do you need a thread dedicated to one shitty band. A) There is a thread for this awesome band because they were the first ones confirmed. Many people have stated their thoughts on them there. B) The purpose of this newly created thread is to keep focus on narrowing that possible headliner list down. That way it doesn't end up like the "educated suggestions" thread. C) I'm not trying to be a dick, just giving you a headsup so nobody will continue to call you troll like me.

Just got back from seeing The Green Hornet. I didn't go into it with Dark Knight expectations (then again, who would?) nor have I ever read the comics (was it a comic or a novel?) I'm not the biggest Seth Rogan fan either. That being said, the film was actually pretty enjoyable. Loads of action and a good dose of comedy. The asian guy who played the sidekick was what made the film better than expected. Not a typical super hero movie.

Here is one band you might like: I'm no metal expert, but I do like the genre, and grew up listening to a lot of the more mainstream metal, early Metallica, Slayer, death metal b0nanas, the usual. I still listen to a handful of metal albums every year, and this one is easily my favorite. YES. Great band, moderator. This cd has always been my favorite of theirs.

You can nix KOL off that list. They will be in Ireland and the UK during the festival weekend. Source is their website.

There is a Foo Fighter thread for this.
That being said tcheck out the current album, Echoes, Silence Patience And Grace. Some of their most daring songs are on that album. And if you like that, listen to the live album, Skin And Bones, and the acoustic cd off In Your Honor. Only then you can feel free to tell me that their new stuff is like Nickelback, Staind and Disturbed.
Edit: stupid iphone formats my shit all weird!

From what I can tell about the guy, even with Foo Fighters on the bill I can't help but feel like hancho is going to be disappointed by the Squatch lineup. Not at all. Believe it or not, I really wanted to attend the festival over the last three years. Refer to the guess the lineup thread. Others were disappointed, but I felt is was good enough. All realistic guesses too.

You know, most bands will hit the road with a pretty well set group of songs and play roughly the same show wherever they go. This is my experience, with very few exceptions (Ween, R.E.M., TMBG before 2001 or so). It seems pretty standard, and pretty fair unless you're just some dude with a guitar who can play whatever pops into your head. See? Agreed... That last part was a clever Jack Johnson bash, wasn't it?

NO NO NO STOP TRYING TO REVIVE THIS THREAD RATM would be way better than SOAD! I agree with that, but I also love both of those bands. So no argument from me. LiMp BiZkiT for Sasquatch 2011!

just to throw it out there, Norah Jones did a duet with Dave Grohl on Virginia Moon for an album. So IF she's there, that could be a possibility. I'm in no way a Norah Jones fan at all, but that would be awesome if there was maybe a Dave Acoustic! Or Norah Jones set earlier in the day and she did that duet. They more recently collaborated on a live cover of Paul Mcartney's "Maybe I'm amazed".

I think Hot Chip was mentioned as a possibility at one time or another as well? As a HEADLINER!? Yeah, I saw Gunther's post, but THIS ^^^ post is all the evidence you need that this thread is entirely unnecessary. Give it two weeks and it'll be another 27 page behemoth, where every new boarder comes to say either DECEMBERISTS! or MODEST MOUSE! or INSERT NAME OF LOWER TIER ACT MY BOYFRIEND PLAYED WHILE WE WERE DRINKING HIS PARENTS BOX WINE LAST NIGHT THAT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE OF HEADLINING EVER! Haha! Mine were higher efforts than that. Admit that!

Tool is like a robot that plays the same 12 songs every damn show and people continue to worship them like they are glorious and godlike. Thats what most big bands do with their setlists. Foo fighters were guilty of the same thing. Nearly every show on their last major tour (and the one before) had a setlist containing mainly "the hits" and the same couple of non "single" songs. If you are lucky, you will get maybe one or two (usually the new songs) differences between each show. Although, I can sort of see what your point is when a band like Tool doesn't release an album in five years, yet, they've been here three or four times in between now and then with the same list of songs. You'd think they would have time to rehearse deep within their catologue of only four albums. I'm with HG on this, you can't compare a smaller band to a "stadium" band. They still have the freedom to play whatever they want without being on a major label... And I didn't do my research on that. ;D

I forgot to mention that aside from headliners, That list was in no particular order. I also kind of went into it with a lowered typical sasquatch year expectations. After giving it thought, I don't think Cage would fit as a sub anymore.. I'm just trying to think of harder acts that would be big enough and fit the vibe to be subs for foo fighters. My further guesses would be Wolfmother, Queens Of the Stone Age and Silversun Pickups

Dirty Goods from the UK. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dGH-0t4o-A. I heard of these guys mid last year but nothing from them since. Maybe they hung it up for good before they even started?

A Perfect Circle would be pretty neat. I used to be a big Tool fan but then I realized that Maynard is a fucking stuck-up piece of shit. I saw Tool on their "warm-up" theater tour in Seattle. People were paying $400 per ticket on Ebay to see this show. Maynard basically told the crowd that they were a bunch of stupid morons to pay that much for a concert. Then they only played for like 50 minutes with no encore. I was fucking pissed. The BEST POST YET! I am so sorry to be laughing at you, but you really can't make stuff like that up. Awesome awesome awesome! It doesn't help that the fact of the matter is, most of the fans at Tool shows appear to be a bunch of boneheaded dicks... And The only show I'd maybe pay $400 for is Led Zeppelin. People are just bat shit crazy to be paying that much for concert tickets. I actually expect Maynard to be an asshole to his crowd.

Starfucker Black Keys Rush My Morning Jacket The Moondoggies Arcade Fire Built to Spill Helio Sequence The Dead Weather Dawes John Butler Trio Chk Chk Chk The Roots As impractical as it sounds I think those bands would make for an awesome Sasquatch! You mean to tell me that I'm not the only one who is for John Butler Trio playing? I mean, shit, They were even scheduled at the paramount last year on the same day as the festival. I'm going to agree that Rush is kind of out there...

They're working on a new album already? Nobody read my post in the "Upcoming Shows" thread did they? This isn't Band of Horses, this is more a chance of Ben getting to kinda do whatever he wants on an album (and so far the results seem to be great). Ironically, I haven't even ventured in to the off topic forums yet!
