After seeing that lineup I wouldn't be displeased at all if Sasquatch was a "Mini-Coachella" this year. That lineup is badass through and through. It will be interesting though to see which of those bands do cross over and sort of do the festival tour over the summer.

Yes, Heartland is fantastic. I have seen him live once before and yes, his live shows are also fantastic.

I think you are right about mew (which hurts because I missed them when they came through in December, stupid finals). Owen Pallet has no dates confirmed after May 10th (I will be seeing him on the 9th in Vancouver so I won't be too disappointed if he is absent). Porcupine Tree is still open at the time of Sasquatch and is honestly one of the best live shows I have ever seen.

Bowie would be...sigh....so amazing. Love him. Others I would love to see: AIR Sigur RosPhoenix (would be my 2nd time seeing them. They played an amazing show at the Greek Theater in LA the day after my birthday!) Metric (same as Phoenix) Lykke LiBlack Rebel Motorcycle Club M83 (were so amazing last year, would love to see them again) Band of HorsesBat for Lashes Miike Snow Empire of the Sun Beach House Goose Broken Social Scene Beck CaribouThe Clash (if only Joe Strummer were still alive...it's a wish list) Cut Copy Daft Punk Justice Death from Above 1979 Dinosaur Jr. Foo Fighters (I've wanted to see them live ever since I was a kid, despite the fact that I'm not crazy about their new stuff) Hot Chip Late of the Pier M. Craft Lauryn Hill would be pretty amazing We could all get sensual and sexy with Sade Musee Mecanique PelicanPeter Bjorn and John Phil Collins (I'm sorry, I love him.) Pinback Prefuse 73The Presets Radiohead and/or Thom Yorke Ratatat Say Hi Sea Wolf Sebastien Tellier She & Him The Shins Simian Mobile Disco Van She The Von Bondies Working for a Nuclear Free City Massive AttackThe RootsJapandroids (I don't know how they could top the intimate, super fun show they played at a local bar in my hometown, but it would be interesting to see them on a bigger stage, with better sound.) Yacht Spoon El Ten Eleven Royksopp Wilco A string quartet playing Phillip Glass compositions.ATTN I would pay any amount to go to this festival. Maybe add in: A Silver Mt. Zion Bjork The Books Dj Shadow Dredg Efterklang El-P Gavin Castleton (or Gruvis Malt reunion) Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground Patrick Watson Porcupine Tree To name a few. Ps. Awesome choices btw (though sadly many of yours, and mine, wouldn't really be festival material).

I totally agree with the feeling of "festival lineup excitement" and am really interested to see the Coachella lineup due to the likelihood of some crossover (and bands that can be ruled out). Also that fake line up (and a few others i have seen) would be absolutely amazing and I could only pray bands like Porcupine Tree, Mew and Owen Pallett will be included in Sasquatch this year.

I'm not positive on the cooler, but I think if its a hard plastic one it won't be allowed in. And as for the brews they are 100% for sure not allowed in.

I actually looked into the exact same thing last year and came up empty. Although I don't think it would be to hard to hitch a ride that far from someone else going to the festival (a lot of people stop off there on the way through and I'm sure you could arrange something).

I believe they go on sale at the same time as the festival tickets usually do, around late February.

I have not stayed in premium before (although I am trying it out this year), but most of the loud partying occurs in the middle of the campground to my recollection, a little ways away from the premium camping. Last year we were on the very far side of general camping and it was pretty quiet, I assume that sound wise it would be pretty similar in premium (although I can't say 100% for sure it will be)

So hard to pick only five as I have stumbled upon a few new bands since the lineup dropped but...
1 & 2 (can't decide) Gogol Bordello and Explosions in the Sky 3. TV on the Radio 4. Nine Inch Nails 5. Animal Collective
Close calls are Fleet Foxes, Street Sweeper, and Dent May

If anyone is still interested I e-mailed the Quincy chamber of commerce and they said they are working on getting a shuttle to and from the Gorge for the Memorial Day weekend.

Yeah, last year we had 8 people in our car/campsite and it was cool. Although I don't ever remember reading this rule last year, which is why I started the topic. I think it is a new rule.

I can't believe no one has mentioned NIN vs. of Montreal as a conflit, thats probably the biggest one for me. I guess their fanbases dont have that much crossover. Also I agree that Doves vs. Passion Pit is the other big conflict in my eyes.

Yeah, I as one of the people at the front of the line pissed off. Moreso at myself though because I saw the passes online and then forgot to print them out before I left. Oh well, premium camping for me this time anyways.

Hey, I got there on Sunday around midday and didn't have any issues last year. Just be prepared to set up camp a fair distance away from the actual concert site as the camping area generally fills up from closest to furthest.

They do charge by car, and also there is a max of four people in a campsite either way (or pay extra for those extra people is an option I believe)
