My first Sasquatch (2008) we were camping in the general campground and our group got split up and lost for most of the night. Eventually everyone found the tent pretty late in the night and were just getting to sleep (probably around 3 am) when we heard a couple walking by arguing loudly.
The girl was saying things like "you always fuck shit up" and "your always fuck me over" to which the guy replied "what have I done to you today?" this was followed by the girl yelling "YOU CHIPPED MY FUCKING TOOTH YOU MOTHER FUCKER".
My entire tent erupted laughing at that point and in the morning our camp as well as many of the others in the area were quoting the couple, and "YOU CHIPPED MY FUCKING TOOTH YOU MOTHER FUCKER" became the catch phrase for the rest weekend.

Looks like it...
Just for weirdness sake, a Patrick Watson song is in a Tropicana commercial of all things.

The Campground opens at about noon I believe. Last year we got there about 1 or 2ish I think and there was no line whatsoever. In the late afternoon and into the night the lineup looked huge however, but I don't know how long it actually took to get through it. Also, everyone gets a spot eventually, there is tonnes of room.

What bradbeard says it pretty true I guess, but when I first commented thats not really what I had in mind at all. Really, all I was thinking was "More often (but not ALWAYS), bands play Seattle and miss Vancouver (I even know the main reason for this from talking to bands, and that is border hassles) and if anyone should be complaining its Vancouver." I was also hungover and on a low of having 2 weeks off and now having school later that morning and not really looking to start and international dispute, but here we are...

ya, i think i can suck it up just fine you fucking prick. Hey, no need for that. I'm just saying, how many times have you actually had to drive to Vancouver to see a show? Because I've had to drive into Seattle numerous times to see my favorite bands. I might also be bitter because a few of those trips ended disastrously.

Yeah, I haven't seen it all yet (I was actually a part of that sweet Micheal Buble deal, in one of the canoes) but thats basically what I have been hearing, that it was good up until the lame bands (unfortunately most talented Canadian artists don't get near the recognition they deserve).

ugh...i hate when bands tour up and down the west coast and skip seattle. even worse, when they skip seattle but go up to vancouver. Suck it up. Bands play Seattle and miss Vancouver way more frequently than they play Vancouver and miss Seattle. Sorry, but you can't have everything.

I think people are forgetting about Massive Attack when they say the headliners are inexpensive this year. They played Glastonbury as the top band on the second main stage in 08, and depending on how many of their guest artists show up could probably command a pretty penny.

Also A Silver Mt. Zion would be nice add While I totally agree with you (Zion is one of my absolute favorite bands), I would venture to guess that they will never play Sasquatch or any music festivals of this nature.

Headlining the Wookie stage is higher billing then midday on the Mainstage generally.

Saw Reggie Watts at Bumbershoot, knew nothing about him before and was going to see Wyatt Cenac, both were really funny. Took a little while to realize what was happening when Reggie was on, but it was still awesome.

Who? Patrick Watson Where? Vogue Theater, Vancouver When? December 2009
They are soo tight live and play some of the coolest music around. During the song Beijing, the drummer plays a mind melting pots and pans solo and during Traveling Salesman Patrick plays a trumpet-sounding solo with a megaphone and a plunger. They do a lot of really cool stuff live (I was on the balcony in the center and the guitarist and drummer, who was playing the saw, came and sat on the ledge next to me while the rest of the band played in the center of the crowd completely unplugged) but I don't know what their show will be like at a festival (probably midday on a smaller stage). This band is one of Canada's semi-hidden gems, and I urge everyone to check them out!
P.s. That show included a backing string quartet. I don't know if they will be there as well but they just made the show that much more incredible (in my top 3 for sure).
