The Crystal Ballroom doesn't use Tickemaster anymore. They use Cascade Tickets. Ticket go on sale Friday. It looks like you will be able to order online. You sure? It says will call only on the site. It is will call only, you can still order online though. Will call just means they won't mail you a ticket, you pick it up at the box office the day of the show (I assuming you know this, but maybe not).

Interesting. I looked on Ticketmaster but only saw dates up to 4/10. The Crystal Ballroom doesn't use Tickemaster anymore. They use Cascade Tickets. Ticket go on sale Friday. It looks like you will be able to order online.

Fucking hell that looks like fun. This Justice vs. Dre/Snoop conflict is going to be the death of me. Or you could just go see Justice while they are in, wait, I feel like we've discussed this before...

I don't believe that.

I do believe something like this happened, however I do not believe the blog statement that it makes sense the Black Keys were originally the subheadliner that day. How does it make sense to have the Black Keys sub two years in a row? My thought is the Black Keys were never on the lineup, and when a headliner pulled out, the Keys were a logical and available replacement.

Would you like to explain how it could be sold out if it is, Know? Um, I tried to make it very clear they are selling weekend one passes for $50 more than weekend two. It's not sold out if you can still buy a ticket, no?

Just blindly throwing out numbers that no one except myself will agree with...
Assuming there are 65,000 passes available each weekend, I would guess the presale last June sold 50,000 passes weekend one, and 15,000 weekend two.
Currently, they are charging $50 more for weekend one passes which includes extras you likely won't need. The goal is to make as much money as possible, while still giving you the opportunity to save $50 by attending weekend two. Great business.

Not the same. Justice's music is meant for a night set in the Sahara tent. I would honestly only be seeing Dre/Snoop to say I've seen them, but I recognize the importance of them and this performance so I definitely do want to see at least part of it. Just checked the Seattle date. Only balcony seats available at this point. Not happening. I could possibly sell you my Justice ticket. I won't be able to stay with my friend when I go up there, so my plan to go up to Seattle and stay for awhile got messed up a bit. And I have an extra Justice Roseland ticket for you if you decide to sell your Seattle ticket to Pea. The Portland show is sold out.

I'm so excited and fortunate to even be going that Pea's death metal band could reunite as a headliner and I would be on board. I would be in the Sahara.

I would like to point out that Monklish was the only person stupid enough to say the Black Keys are headlining. I mean really, a subheadliner returning the next year to headline, so fucking stupid, right? Has any festival ever done that?
Props to Monklish. The backlash against him/her on the Coachella board is so hilariously stupid. Monklish's blog is one stop shopping for people who don't have enough time to lurk the message board, and I appreciate that.

lemme give you a little 5 song setlist... if you don't like any of these five songs, then it's safe to say that you won't like much more from Pulp: Common People, Babies, Do you Remember the First Time?, Sorted for E's & Wizz, and I'm a Man Haha, I actually rather enjoyed all of those! Especially "Do You Remember the First Time?" My first and lasting impression of Pulp has always been how sexy the music is. A lot of songs about fucking. It's like Prince, only he's white, and european, and doesn't play a bad-ass guitar, and isn't really like Prince at all. "Disco 2000," "Underwear," and "I Spy" where songs that stood out the first time I heard Different Class, along with "Common People" of course.

Alright Stamper, because this is such a big deal, where do I start with Pulp? I know absolutely nothing about these guys. Not Stamper here, so feel free to ignore this, but when attempting to get into a band you (womp) probably aren't going to enjoy, you should always go with their most popular/accessible. That is Different Class. If you took others advice and listened to This Is Hardcore, you probably wouldn't get past the second listen, and you would be leaving a lot of their best songs on the table.

Hey alex, how did this conversation start again?only 2 months til we actually know who is playing 5 months from meow. A lot less than two months. Insert alex losing his shit...Explain to me how someone with no actual knowledge of the date of the lineup announcement can so smugly state that my guess of "2 months" is wrong, and that it will be "a lot less than 2 months"? Then my cheeks got swore from laughing, so I try to end it...And when the lineup is released at the beginning of February, don't go telling everyone I was wrong because I said February 20th. They'll laugh at you. Then today rolls aroundLineup announcement is happening Feb 2. I was wrong. Know was less wrong. I'm man enough to admit it. Quite manly of you to admit that I'm still wrong. Put your shovel away man, my cheeks are hurting again.

Odd Future is another great comparison. You don't need radio play anymore to have a buzz that extends beyond the internet. Come on, Know, you old man. Aside from Stamper's point about Skrillex (which I wasn't aware of), EDM isn't played on pop radio. I don't know where you EDM kids find your new/popular music. Odd Future might be a better example, but you're not going to hear people rap about raping and murdering on pop radio either. Sure there are exceptions, but I'm not sure what makes the Weeknd an exception, especially since his music sounds pretty radio friendly to me. I read a lot about him from individuals who really like him, but I don't see much media buzz (yet?). Odd Future was absolutely everywhere in the media last year before the festival. You couldn't read any credible music site without hearing about them at least once a week.

Haha, actually I pointed out in the fake lineup thread that Elvis Costello is in Europe before, during, and after Sasquatch. That was directed at you.

It was a trainwreck right from the start. I could careless about the throwing of shit, but it was just plain awful. Some people were loving it though...to each their own. I for one love a good trainwreck. It was great.
