I feel like I say this every year, but I really feel like yesterday may have been the best start to finish day of Sasquatch I’ve ever been to. Lizzo > Magic Sword > PUP > Grizzly Bear > Jlin/Shaky Graves > Spoon > TVOTR > Modest Mouse (featuring literal Explosions In The Sky)> EITS was one hell of a run.

Eh. Wasn’t digging that Modest Mouse set. Might be because Im not into anything they released after The Moon & Antarctica and that setlist was pretty heavy on new stuff. That Tiny Cities Made of Ashes tho. Strangers to Ourselves has really grown on me over the last few years. It’s an album that I’ve found myself enjoying more and more every time I listen to it, so I was glad to hear a lot from it. Plus, after following setlist.fm leading up to this, I think that was the first time they played Float On on this tour, so that was pretty cool. Not that it’s a rare song per se, but it is definitely their biggest hit and I think it means something special that they played it for us.

2. David Byrne-ing down this gorge. Have you been waiting since the lineup dropped to use this play on words? I love it

Nah but the fact that no one had done it yet is sort of surprising.

Some big dumb baby passed out apparently at 8 on Friday and left their leg hanging out the vehicle to get severely sunburnt. Missed basically everything after Vince Staples.
However, what a crazy good festival.
Also how is the average age of the crowd sooooo young? I had a few sets where I had people in front of me googling the artist and leaving when they started, who were these people here for?

BUT he went to the show and had a great time.

I lucked out at Rostam because the people in front of me assume she would be EDM and those suckers gave me literally front row dead center. Chumps.... too bad his solo set is nowhere as good as Vampirw Weekend’s but he did Young Lion, which I think is tbeir worst song on that album, but I’m counting it as a good song for his set. Also he did Discovery so I had a jammin time.

Maybe it's cause I missed the dance tent altogether but I didn't mind all the younger folks. My first festivals kicked off a big expansion in my music taste, so I'm stoked this year's lineup had traction in the lower age groups.
Got a stomach bug Thursday night and ended up being nearly 100% sober for the weekend, minus a beer here or there. Still managed to have a phenomenal time. This place has some sacred spooky magic to it and I'm glad it seems like it will be around a while longer

That shit was amazing. Really hope they keep it up for more years to come - I thought attendance seemed pretty good. The hill was pretty packed for the later sets.
I’m so happy it happened and so sad it’s over.

This was one of my top 3 festival experiences ever. Holy shit! David Byrne, The National, Modest Mouse, Wolf Parade, Explosions in the Sky, Magic Sword, Ray Lamontagne, Grizzly Bear, Too Many Zooz, Benjamin Clementine were all fantastic. My campsite was executed flawlessly - we had exactly enough food, booze and wine for the weekend with some. I ate vegetarian dinners all last week to frontload nutrients and fiber so I felt great and took good poops every day. Although I partied too hard Thursday night and puked like a rookie. I'm sorry I didn't meet any boardies, I was having too much fun with my real friends
